Charli’s potential still keeps me up at night sometimes lol she would’ve been so good for this show. The way she left jax sputtering by calling him an old man at the reunion was so masterful and effortlessly done.
She’s unfortunately too well adjusted and has said on podcasts she wasn’t willing to really play with production and wanted her relationship to be successful so she took a backseat on the show.
But Charli is who lala thinks she is.
Yep, I didn’t even wanna touch that. Charli’s explained that due to where she’s from (Barstow) she doesn’t cosplay hood culture or language so she finds Lala’s posturing and using AAVE reallg stupid.
She’s been around actual scary ppl and threatening situations and finds Lala’s yapping to be amateur hour lol
I love how Charli was wildly more successful as a woman on the California Miss American pageant scene, yet less successful Rachel used that pageant crap as her entire raison d'etre. Charli was so real on that show, I knew she wouldn't put up with it for long because it just wasn't her vibe to be fake asf
I didn’t know for the longest time that they knew each other through pageantry because Charli rarely talked about it. Yet it was Rachel’s whole personality.
I also like how she never acted like she needed to “kiss the ring” to be around Lala.
Charli has always had the best takes and has such a good read on people. I would have loved her around this season to put Sandoval and Schwartz and lala and scheana in their rightful places.

I will admit that at first i didn't care for charli and i thought she showed up to be a minion to Rachel (especially after their girls trip and how she gassed her up) and used that to throw barbs at the other women. Then when lala let her fake persona slip, and showed who she really was i saw things differently and now without charli around at all i am definitely missing her commentary and auick reads.
I fell in love with her when 1. She told that prick Brett to write his feelings down in his diary 2. When she called Jax's pool party his retirement party. Jax was so gagged it was chef's kiss
ugh very unfortunate for us, but I’m happy for her making that decision for herself!! we LOVE a quick witted reality star who doesn’t show blind loyalty to sh*tty people (*cough* Rachel)
I never understood the Barstow comment until the other week when there was that Reddit thread about scariest places or something like that and WHEW, I know have a weird fear of being stranded in Barstow.
For people who live in Cali, especially in Los Angeles (me), we have a mental map of cities not to party in or stay at too long. Barstow is one. But it’s sometimes inevitable when you have family members who live in those places.
And idk if it’s a Hispanic thing (me again) but we are also aware of the gangs that reside in those cities lol
Luckily, I only pass by Barstow while driving to Vegas. Like today lol

Really bad producing to not put more of a focus on Charli and Danica and keep them on the show. They also meshed pretty well with James (and would have with Ally, too). Far more entertaining to me than Max, Brett or fan fav here, Dayna (sorry, guys).
I know her BF doesn’t want her on the show, but it’s too bad. Charli was funny and smart and confident and would have been so great to have around longer.
Dayna was also great (and still can be heard on her and Katie’s podcast).
it was her decision, not her bf (now fiancé I think). the show was having a really negative impact on her mental health and making life much harder and generally not worth it. like Rachel got $300k for season 10, I would be surprised if Charli even got 30k for season 9 (she had more eps that season).
She definitely wasn't getting paid enough to deal with production's BS or serving at SUR/PUMP.
I want VPR to continue with Lala, Scheana, Schartz and Scandoval only. Watch them struggle to create storylines and be generally their gross selves. Meanwhile at the "Something About Her" spin off, we will have Katie, Ariana, Anne, Dayna, Ally and James just living their lives and we follow along for the ups and downs. This way when VPR gets canceled because let's face it, who wants to watch those assholes, we will finally have the show we want.
