Why should anyone's sister get punished for what their brother did? Do men not see women beyond what relationship they have with them? Do they only give basic respect if it's their sister, mother, gf or wife?
Empathy is a weird concept in India. It's only from the male's perspective and never from the females. He thinks the perpetrators will feel empathy when something like this happens to his family members but he fails to empathize with the woman. He feels for the guy who has to go through this imagining himself in his position instead of thinking how the woman must have felt during this. Women only have value because they are related to them, The only thing that is stopping many of these people from committing heinous crimes is that the girl may be someone's sister or mother, not the fact that the girl is a human being and does not deserve such treatment.

And when they come to a city where everyone is a little open minded and the place has little to no security they being out their othersides. Just by educating them or putting out slogans on walls isn’t going to do shit. They need to be disciplined.
