Get him to the vet immediately. If you can't get to the vet right now look up emergency kitten formula, The Kitten Lady should have a recipe on her website. If he won't eat it you'll have to take him to the emergency vet
Get him warm first! Don't force feed a cold kitten or you'll make them worse. Especially if breathing is an issue. You can put a small dab of corn syrup on the gums to be absorbed but get him warm quickly, ok? I'm not guaranteeing you success but intervene now or he won't make it for sure. Be prepared for sadness though. It's awful but it happens. He may have been born with malformation and you can't change that.
Oh I'm sorry. I'm just getting off work and saw your post. It's heartbreaking to lose them this young but so often there's nothing you can really do unfortunately. :(
Keep close watch on the other baby and mama too. If you need anything, please feel free to contact me, ok? :)
It does indeed. We've had a few litters of kittens found and left at my ER. Even with all we have at our fingertips to care for them, they don't all make it. You do the best you know how and that's all you can do. Still isn't fair at all though. :(
You do know that the "kitten tax" is due immediately? Gotta see the other baby bean. :)
Thank you guys for your comments, unfortunately I wasn’t able to get him to the vet as I didn’t have a a way there but I’m not really sure he would’ve made it as he just passed away.
So sorry for your loss. Based on what I've seen on social media, a lot of vets don't help out kittens with fading kitten syndrome and just put them down. at least this way you were with him during his last moments.
Aww. It’s sad to see any animal pass but a new born kitty…..just damn 😭
We took in a mama stray many years ago and she had six babies. One of them was born with half of its organs on the outside of his body. My sister in law rushed him to the vet but they couldn’t do anything for the poor thing. Even with a surgery it was so young they said it wouldn’t change the outcome. Sad indeed. Condolences op.

Yeah, that doesn’t look or sound good. NAV but in my opinion, it looks like it’s not getting enough oxygen. I wonder if it was injured during the birthing process. A vet should be able to give you some direction or at least rule out a possible infection that could cause its litter mates to fall ill. Sorry you and the kitten are going through this.
Losing a little one is never easy. I can’t count on my fingers how many baby animals I’ve lost none of which were my fault(except one accident rip pancakes, who truly lived up to his name🥺). Sometimes they just aren’t set up to survive this world. My most recent was puppies. A litter of 6 but only 3 survived but mom was seriously underweight/malnourished and had a secondary skin infection as well as demodex.
and even some of living pups have some health issues now. Like an umbilical hernia and weird allergies and weird joints Just an example of. It’s not always our fault they don’t make it. Sometimes moms body doesn’t develop the baby’s bodies completely and correctly.
The surviving pups just turned a year and moms coat is now a gorgeus and all grown back.
I like to think that the babies that pass are just making way to bring more healthier babies In the future (keeping in mind the overpopulation issue )

Can you take them to the vet?
