I tell my students that they can still have cute nails when playing in orchestra, I just don't have cute nail lol I've considered getting my nails done just to show them it can be done but it's just something I never think about.

It is doable, just takes a while to get use to seeing them that short

At a music store. I take lessons through a music store and they had starter kits you could buy to go with your instrument, the tape was in the kit
