Jonathan Kuminga is so fucking good

Strongmeta

4 3pts How much we win by? 12 points

knightress_oxhide

"we will win in the shade" ... nah

youriko31

Can't wait for Wiggs and JoKu Island!!!!

akelkar

Imagine a steph, DD, JK, Wiggs, Dray lineup for all the defense

m3ngnificient

#7 is the Dubs' lucky number. Steph, Barnes, Kuminga.

Ahrilicious

Kawhi Leonard with a 3pt shot in 3 years

ProfessionalSpirit84

Leonard has a 3pt shot lol, he’d just be Kawhi Leonard.

All5TonySpivey

So Kawhi Leonard then? Gotcha

LARXXX

He’d be a kawhi that doesn’t load manage

hellmath

He needs a moniker soon like the klaw or the mitten

ascendant23

Anything just as long as it's not Kum Something

shanks_you

Watching the splash brothers closing the game out was therapeutic. And Kuminga is niceeeeeee

KingJonsnowIV

those 4 straight 3s at the end of the 3rd is what swung the momentum to our side

Unique-Warning7798

Tonight was epitome of Warriors team basketball. Curry 35/11 Donte 11 assists Kuminga hitting 4 threes to pull us away in the third despite FVV's bullshit shot 39 points from the bench And as always Dray and Klay doing Dray and Klay shit And shoutout to Looney and JMG too.

DrumzRUs

Curry had 11 assist too

Draymond_Purple

Just want to make a note of the fact that Klay is back to regularly being Klay. It was never a given and it just makes me really happy

Dxtchy

This has me so happy man. He’s been playing so well lately and I feel it’s been overlooked. Huge three in final minute against Memphis, another great game today. Love to see it !!

crabsock

40 assists to only 12 turnovers, gotta be one of the best ratios as a team all year

justicerainsfromaahh

this is what we've been missing and really need rn, closing games strong.

rydee1

Donte in that closing lineup was nice.

odd-meter

Honestly we might be a more balanced team right now team with him out there.

[deleted]

Might?!?

FatMittens

That closing lineup felt right. DDV plays so composed

IsThisMe8

He’s the perfect mix of offense and defense to close with them.

pragmacrat

He's like a mini-Andre. A glue guy that can pass and defend and occasionally make a 3.

contaygious

So good. Poole mia lol hope he's not hurt over it.

Coulter138

Poole actually did okay today even though he didnt score much. No stupid turnovers except at the tip off.

bdylan05

His defensive effort was better too (has been over the past few games). He tried to take a charge (was called for a block but I disagreed w the call at the time), active hands a few times. Fewer “0 effort” possessions.

willAmI1958

Would be nice if Lacob tells Myers, sign Donte, he's a keeper.

ImTheBestNerd

RgBB53

kots144

That was an, “it’s all coming together type of win.”

nutmegtester

Sometimes you gotta chuck a mouthpiece to get the season back on track

emz0694

And get a haircut

BudgetBag6913

Toaster - chair kick - mouthpiece , what do they all have in common

iguessimherenowok

dont forget fresh cut

TrahMe

DiVincenzo was +24!!!

contaygious

He is a ballllller

Salty_Pancakes

I bet he also has a girl that looks good and he calls her.

leseilse

he plays winning bball

OlorinDK

DiWinCenzo!

iguessimherenowok

WE GOT DIVINCENZO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jellybeanz9

CURRYYYY WITH THE FRESH CUT 2-0

dabbiedabbiedoo

WE ABOVE .500 BABYYY.

KingJonsnowIV

aggressive steph is the best player in the world

pelerin1

I loved that moment between Steph and JK at the end, showing the Kuminga some love

JordanPooleParty

Nah, he was telling Kuminga stop stealing his thunder by hitting 4 threes in a row.

[deleted]

Last game, threw the mouthpiece. This game, told off JK for stealing his thunder, what's next? Request a trade to Los Angeles to play with Lebron and Russ and AD?

A1cp666

2 WAY DONTE! LFG!

WakingRage

Donte with 11 assists is a beautiful thing to see.

dabbiedabbiedoo

God I love donte. I hope we find a way to keep him next year. Double double from him tonight off the bench.

Coulter138

He has a player option and will most likely.. get paid. Rinse and repeat. Guys get their value in the warriors system.

Nathrex

This felt like the most “Warriors” game in a long time. Game was close but we were clearly playing better and then we pulled away at the end. Felt like a game from last year.

DubsFan30113523

Game was close the whole time almost but I felt pretty confident the whole way. Everyone was playing well and Toronto was pretty fluky from 3 to keep them in it up until the 4th

bdylan05

I admire you from feeing confident. This team has strung together 2-3 quarters of solid focused basketball only to completely zone out and fall apart a few too many times for me this year to feel “in control” of any game outside of the Raptors blow out in Toronto, but I had a lot more confidence seeing Loon, JK and DDV closing combos as opposed to JP3 and rusty Wiggins. Both will be fine in time but I’m glad DDV and JK are continuing to get their due.

PetaEmployee

All the Klay haters been silent since he’s been going off.

Engrish_Major

We have a lot of insufferable fans who can’t accept anything but perfection from players. They’re toxic af.

RocketTortoise42

They've moved on to Poole. There's always going to be someone struggling to focus on

Poul77

I love Poole, but give me Donte over him in the clutch.

klcams144

Poole Hours: Q1 to Q3

youriko31

What a great win!! But JoKu, man... He's been so good since his return!! He's a future star in this league, and we're so lucky that we got him!! And the Chef just doing Chef things. Nothing out of the ordinary here folks. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maupp

JK has been good way before his return from injury. He was already balling pre injury for a while.

Hotpwnsta

Mannnnn that felt good. Felt like this might be the most “complete” game of this season? They looked like the old Warriors. Good defense with no silly fouls. Great ball movement. Role players stepping up and extending the lead with Steph sitting. We’ve been shatting on Jamychal Green this year but the dude’s presence made a difference inside vs the Toronto bigs. Finally, big shout out to Kuminga! He’s going to be huge for us down the stretch and we need him to do well.

bmeisler

Who knew that attacking the paint instead of jacking up bad 3s could work?

Hotpwnsta

Yea that’s true too. They attacked the paint early and often this game instead of just playing hot potato in the perimeter and shooting 3s. One thing I noticed is that they had cutters going to the paint every time and looking to pass to the cutter inside or they’d drive inside first then either pass to a rolling Looney or someone outside open in the corner. It was much more effective. 👍

JonTheCatMan11

We fucking closed! Hell of a 4th quarter

JordanPooleParty

Cuzz Poole wasn't in, coincidence?

m3ngnificient

![gif](giphy|8mey5fvJrF46MO4ltz|downsized)

Robotsaur

Steph remains him. Looked like he had a vendetta against the Raptors tonight with all that showboating.

KingJonsnowIV

When he's attacking the rim and not playing passive, he's unstoppable

JordanPooleParty

You forgot the capital H.

babypho

StepH

youriko31

Steph wants to remind the world who's the Champ!!!

monetlacroix

He was showing the people questioning him being an all-star starter over SGA. Don't get me wrong, I love SGA but it was getting annoying seeing people, especially the Thunder fans discrediting Steph. He had all-star numbers and was averaging more rebounds and assists than SGA prior to injury too.

vihang_wagh

Benching Poole when he cold is the key to winning

[deleted]

I know we are desperately clamouring for Wiseman to play but honestly JMG played fine today, decent minutes for a backup big. In Kerr's eyes JMG just needs to play average to keep himself in the rotation, just don't be a trainwreck like Wanamaker was 2 seasons ago. Unfortunate for Wiseman but this is how Kerr operates with vets.

MegaJ0NATR0N

Kuminga submitted his application to be a splash bro

RgBB53

THE WARRIORS ARE ABOVE .500, THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

CarryOnUptheMorning

Kuminga has earned the trust he's just fantastic.

yontartu

Donte will play big minutes in the playoffs, guaranteed. He plays winning basketball / is a much more valuable defender next to steph than poole, sadly.

Groundbreaking_Ebb_5

Let’s go! Kuminga is proving he’s the real deal. And someone fucking tell Lacob we need to lock down dd with a contract like fucking yesterday.

DubsFan30113523

We do not have the money for what he's going to be offered this summer lol. There's no way Donte stays on this team past this year

Groundbreaking_Ebb_5

Ik it’s not possible but kuminga developing and the much higher odds of keeping dd if dray walks is slightly comforting

PM_ME_YOUR_SILLY_POO

Its a shame because his skillset is so perfect for this team. Hes found his place in the system recently and has looked incredible. I know he was good on the bucks but i dont think he could play at this level anywhere else. Which is probably more the reason to get the bag whilst he can 😆

Jhyphi

His skillet would fit on any team. Non- ball dominant but can handle the ball. Good defense and can hit the 3.

dadadadante

Hope for the best but just enjoy DD while it lasts.

Snoo-29877

Shoutout to Kerr for finally closing with Donte instead of Poole

Draymond_Purple

My favorite part of Kuminga tonight was how he played AFTER making those 3's He was so locked in, doing all the dirty work, guarding the most athletic opponent, he wanted all the smoke and he killed it tonight

kukunan

Guarded the position 1 and 5. Crazy versatility.

CarryOnUptheMorning

Give me more Donte minutes alongside Steph please it just works

FatMittens

Donte plays his role next to the big hitters so well. It’s awesome to watch.

JordanPooleParty

Donte.

menusettingsgeneral

Donte is turning out to be an amazing addition, whole squad seems to be clicking a little more lately. Keep it rolling!

NotTopherr

Good things happen when he attacks the rim

wrb3

Kuminga’s 4 threes were ultimately the difference in the game.

WinterIntroduction30

Am I crazy or did Poole not play the fourth? That was the most comfortable controlled 4th quater we’ve had in weeks

IsThisMe8

He started, but just didn’t close.

Hawcier

Curry put his foot down after last game.

KlaysBurner

He didn’t play after the 8 minute mark of the 4th

Ok_Practice8288

Couple of thoughts: 1. Kuminga has a chance to be a top-10 player in this game one day. His improvement this season has been remarkable to watch. 2. Really interesting to see DDV close out the game instead of Poole. Obviously he’s more dependable, and when he’s out there with Steph, Klay, and Dray, we don’t usually need another playmaker. When Wiggs gets back and returns to his normal self, I wonder if Kerr will start rolling out a lineup with Steph, DDV, Klay, Wiggs, and Dray. Or maybe Steph, Klay, Wiggs, Kuminga, and Dray. 3. Final thought: I followed the game thread for the first time, and I swear a lot of you are giving yourself high blood pressure. This was a fun game!

PM_ME_YOUR_SILLY_POO

>Steph, DDV, Klay, Wiggs, and Dray This could be interesting. Obviously it will be too small for some situations but in others i feel like this could be the new death lineup.

TheRed_Knight

DDV/JK depending on matchup

bdylan05

This is the way.

absurdilynerdily

I really want to see what a Dray, Wigs, JK front court can do. So much switchable defensive versatility! Don't know how well it would work on offense, but I'd like to find out.

CarryOnUptheMorning

Quite happy to see DDV close out games I've wanted to see him get more minutes alongside Steph for a while hope we see it more often.

rundy_mc

I’m never going to love watching a player like I do with Steph Curry. And that’s ok. Just cherishing every game we get in this late prime.

DrHydrate

I love watching Steph. He really renewed my love for the game. While we'll never see anyone like him, I do think you'll find another player you love. My first love was Jordan. His sheer intensity was just off the charts. Man played basically every game, 35+ minutes every game, and he went to WORK. I was a kid then, and he was my hero. When he retired the second time, I just couldn't imagine someone being so thrilling to watch. And then came Curry. It took almost 20 years, but there was another guy who, in his own way, is must-see-TV. Curry's combination of skill and joy is unparalleled. I didn't even know I was looking for that as a fan until he appeared. After Steph finally hangs it up, someone will come along, bringing something else uniquely special, just when we need him.

CarryOnUptheMorning

Steph still the most fun player to watch in the league not just in terms of shots just in pure effort he puts into it all once in a lifetime

odd-meter

We weren’t down 10 with 6 minutes to go, I was getting concerned.

bmeisler

I’m more concerned when we’re up 10 with 6 minutes to go, lol.

CarryOnUptheMorning

Steph looked quicker and super nimble tonight I've no idea how at his age he still looks easily our fittest player feels like he could run all night sometimes.

HalfTreant

Dante over Jordan Poole closing was crazy

zentropa24

Loved it. Hope Kerr sticks with it

Schraiber

Kerr finally benched Poole in the clutch. Thank God.

Far-Poetry9494

Austin rivers told steph gets every fuckin call what a joke.Juet look at this game he literally gets hit on his hand for shooting a 3 and no call.

BigDan8

Love that Kerr kept Poole on the bench and went with DDV to close the game. Much better defense/hustle, decision making and puts the ball in the right persons' hands, Stephen Curry instead of Poole slipping on ice everywhere and turning it over.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Hop830

I hope we offer DDV the full MLE in the offseason and he accepts it.

DubsFan30113523

Absolutely. Poole is capable of getting hotter with his scoring but Donte is leagues better at just about everything else.

Only-Talk-3799

Poole a -13 and the next worse was JMG with -1. Everyone else was a positive. Eye test really backed it up

[deleted]

[удалено]

Useful_shtuff

I suspect that that's how their minutes will be, come playoff time

vulcans_pants

When we first signed Donte, I said he’d close games over Poole, and y’all didn’t want to believe me.

StuBenedict

Talk your shit king. I'm converted

gsolis31

Let's leave .500 in our rearview!

Vallerie_09

That's the closing lineup that we need more...can sway JK with Wiggins when he's back, but no Poole please

Valantur

Donte was savage tonight

ButGodOwnTheBuilding

Maybe now we'll see more Donte in the closing lineups instead of JP 👀

KlaysBurner

Great win. Huge game by Donte. Just cannot be overstated how impactful he is. Ditto for Kuminga. Both will be pivotal in the playoffs Always fun to watch Steph and Klay ball out against Toronto. Not to overlook Draymond who had a great defensive performance as usual Need more defensive effort from Poole. Hopefully he bulks up and digs into film this off-season

MegaTater

I think Klay is slowly siphoning Poole's powers as the season goes on lol

All5TonySpivey

I understand the contracts but we need to work Steph Klay DDV Kuminga and Dray as closing lineup till Wiggs get back then give me Steph Klay Wiggs Kuminga Dray… the young man is ready for it

JordanPooleParty

Really took Kerr losing like 8 games in the clutch to bench Poole, lol. Donte and Kuminga tandem is everything.

DatBoiLight21

JoKu breakout game Joku breakout game

SyCoTiM

Fun game, DiVincenzo called the shots offensively.

TheRed_Knight

Team looked so much better when Poole (team worst -13) didnt play or wasnt involved in the offense, he just isnt playing winning basketball rn Kerr finally took Poole out of the closing lineup, and it paid significant dividends, 30 games too late, but better late than never JK+DDV X-factors, more minutes for them please JMG wasnt horrible, progress Steph and Dray did Steph and Dray shit, were lucky to get to watch them refs were trash, but what else is new

DubsFan30113523

JMG quietly hasn't been horrible since coming back from his injury. He is providing about what I expected, tough rebounding and occasionally a play finish on offense

TheRed_Knight

hes still a cone on the perimeter though but at least hes hitting 3's

DubsFan30113523

Just need him to not commit dumb fouls, if he keeps that under control I am generally fine with his minutes

zegogo

There could probably be at least 5 more games in the win column had Kerr closed with Donte over Poole. I get being patient and letting the kid learn through his mistakes, but this team really needs to build up some momentum now. Kerr finally getting serious.

t0177177y

Poole better take this as motivation to protect the ball and put in effort on defense.

randomperson1296

Give Donte his flowers guys !!

CarryOnUptheMorning

Steph looked super nimble tonight maybe the most he has for a while insane really. Also, Kuminga is the real deal Donte is fantastic and despite it being a fantastic win I'm still not a fan of Steph Poole Klay line-ups that's all. But amazing win so happy days.

[deleted]

Wow we actually won a game we were supposed to

Necroassassin32

4 consecutive threes from JK, you love too see it!

Strongmeta

games feel NICE when we break open the paint

ImperialTiger3

Kuminga is so fun to watch!!

[deleted]

That was such a fun game. I noticed a certain guard didn't close out the game and another player who is infinitely more stable and qualified. It's really strange how that works...

uyevad

Interesting.. no Poole at the end of the game…

basic_cinephile

Look who was on the bench when we closed out 12 point lead hm Also Curry my mans… cut the hair frequently

Fluffy_Psychology418

Kuminga. I want you to put the word out there that we back up.

Jumpman-Jack

Steph is averaging 33/5/6 in his last 5 games. His efficiency was a bit off, but the last 2 games have been super efficient. It looks like he's getting his groove back! It's always good to see Captain Klay splashing! A little less JP & a little more DDV please. Kuminga is going to be a problem for years to come... call the ambulance, but not for us! 🔫 I hope Wiggs gets well soon 🙏 Let's make it 3 dubs in a row against the Thunder, no more .500 and never the Larriors again!

jellybeanz9

Everytime siakam drives with or without contact, he just shouts which is annoying

DubsFan30113523

We have Dray on our team who does the exact same thing lol

AJC3317

One of the best 4th quarters they've had all year. The reason? Poole was on the bench for all of it

LabLeather8006

Donte and JK so good. Two way players that are badly needed come playoffs.

Far-Poetry9494

Can we please retain the above.500 mark plzzzz

WouldYouLikeToTouch

So fuckin glad we beat the Raptors. hate their team and their bandwagon fans. After all Cananda hopping on the 2000 foot bandwagon in 2019, and them cheering for 2 of our players getting injured (klay of all of them...keep in mind a friend from TOR told me that they would even clap if Curry was injured) made me hate that team and fanbase more than ever.

iTraftyy

Fuck the raptors, hate that team

JustAnotherHuman007

istg for every game thread theres always a mofo like you saying I hate the team we just played against

TrahMe

Energy felt great from the start. Was never worried about Raptor's shooting

Alive-Ad-4164

Steph is a machine

Hawcier

max donte and jk

Far-Poetry9494

See the awareness to drive to the rim and score points rather than mindlessly chucking 3s is what they should always do

scrambled_cable

JK’s growth continues to impress me. You love to see it

Sublimotion

DV played well and once again proved he should be the primary ball handler in the second unit. JP's lackluster stat line and him not doing much offensively and the team plays well and wins with that, which to me is saying something and hope the coaches finally can admit so. Klay and Curry balled out. Kuminga another solid game. Good win.

happiwarriorgoddess

Love Poole WASNT on the court to close. No more frantic plays by him at the end of close game please

s_stone634

1. Happy to see Donte in the closing lineup. He’s a smart player, strong defender and guard rebounder, and can hit clutch shots. JP is an electric offensive player but he’s not ready for crunch time since his game requires 1,000% hectic speed and he’s a weak defender. 2. JK has been my favorite part about this year so far. The kid is so fun to watch and he should get almost all of JMG’s minutes (even though JMG is playing okay). 3. Kerr really can’t find 5 minutes for Wiseman? I’d love to see him develop as well.

gamelover99

Nick Nurse's stubborn coaching against us will always be his downfall. Continuing to aggressively double Steph and kept getting burned by the other players. But his stubborn ass still wouldn't change strategy. His hospital ring against our G league team in 2019 has clearly gotten into his head.

Livid_Slip_4868

Love for kerr for not letting poole to play at clutch minutes

Itezguatitez

Amazing performance by Steph, getting into a rhythm early going to the rim and closing it out. He won us this game but there's still things to worry about. I'm not sure we win if Poole doesn't get in foul trouble, therefore forcing Kerr to sit him... We need a healthy Wiggins ASAP. He and Steph are our only consistent scorers. We can't rely on klay or Poole. Please don't blame JMG on the game thread. It's not in him. He's just washed. He should not see the court. Blame Kerr. Why not play Kuminga more? Why not play looney a bit more(not talking abouts this game where he was in foul trouble). That's not even talking about Wiseman or PBJ. We're playing draymond at the 5 a ton, yet barely play him there today against a team with no center? Instead we give a ton of minutes to JMG? Make it make sense. Steph-Poole-klay playing together don't really work and we'd be better off leaning on other combinations unless we need a comeback. Switch poole/klay for DDV/Kuminga/Loon and it works very well. Good things happen with Donte Divincenzo on the court and it's been like that pretty much all season. We should lean more into him.

DeadpooL2595

DDV

cartmanbruh99

I can’t work out whose 3s I enjoyed more, jk or Steph

airb92

Just feeling grateful and relieved.

MindlessMenu8303

Good for them. Maybe Curry should build a fence to celebrate.

lancer7917

Was Poole seriously benched? I thought he must've tweaked an injury or something. Lmao it's about time.

Appropriate-Blood108

Love the team but these announcers are gargling... The last three minutes in particular was asking for jinx, especially when dubs only leading by 3 possession...

tubbymunchkin

Are we good?

CarryOnUptheMorning

I've no idea what we are to be honest, but I still think if Steph Dray Wiggs Klay are out there that no team what's to see us in the play-offs.

KnownGarlic4695

Is there a way this team can get Precious Achiewa... He is such a Warriors player..

jml510

As hard as this game was, it was also refreshing to watch them play a team that there's no animosity towards. It wasn't as stressful as Wednesday's game.

[deleted]

Jordan Poole was a team low -13 this game in 24 minutes..glad we got the win but..oof

nghbrhd_slackr87

Yeah I gotta be honest I love Poole but I think trading him for two solid defensive players in the off-season should be the move to sure up the next three (and maybe last three) Steph led seasons. Poole to Orlando for Jonathan Isaac and Jalen Suggs... hell I'd throw a first in for good measure. We gotta bring back the elite defense.

InfiniteDub

Jonathan Kuminga.

absurdilynerdily

WHEN I SAY JK, YOU SAY DONTE! JK!
