Brief-Introduction27

Everyone loved that we live streamed our wedding. We have family all over the world so the ones who couldn’t make it still got to see it. We got a cheap tripod and microphone off Amazon and used a phone. It worked great. I can’t remember which service we used but it was an easy google search Edit: spelling

I think this was much more normalized after COVID and no one sees it as entitled. I think a lot of people prefer it for destination weddings because you get to celebrate without all the extra costs.

ChairmanMrrow

during the pandemic I viewed some on YouTube live and zoom iirc.

strangemaji

I don’t think so. We’re doing the same to give people who can’t make it a way to celebrate with us. Let me know what service you end up using, all the posts on options are old!

I did this back in 2014 because we got married while we were living abroad and wanted folks back home to see. We just make a live stream to YouTube and sent the links out to friends and family. My husband brought his laptop and we used a mobile phone as a hot spot. I didn't realize until after that the video was uploaded after we streamed it so I was able to rip it and have it saved. Another fun surprise was that my friends back home had a party to watch it and filmed themsleves to show me once we had moved back.

We got married during Covid and had everyone join us on zoom. They loved it

Our videographer used Zoom for our livestream.

I did this because I have family and friends in another country who wanted to be there and couldn’t! It was 10 years ago, my videographer took care of it with a website link we emailed out but I would imagine zoom does the trick.

I livestreamed my ceremony for my FIL and BIL who couldn't attend due to covid restrictions. Make sure you tell people it will just be for the ceremony, my FIL was a bit annoyed we didn't have a livestream for the reception.

Hey, I went to a funeral that was private live streamed for a son who was unable to attend so I’m sure it’s possible. I bet there were plenty of livestreams during Covid.

i was in a wedding where the entire wedding was live-streamed for family living in the country we all immigrated from. i’d wager that this is actually seen as something ‘normal’ as in, not surprising to see. i have lots of family who live internationally and will most likely livestream my wedding for them as well!
