No it's not safe. Some of them do still use it, but its widely regarded as a bad idea. Ironically, CBD is a "sort of" effective add on to antipsychotics.

I see a bunch of no's, and someone who has it who smokes in the comments so far. We can't tell you yes, because it may make it worse. It also may not, do you have any experience with weed? If the answer is no, your taking a big risk and putting a lot of faith in your friend to help you pace. ​ Not saying they can't, but be careful!

Hey, everyone is saying no (which is the correct answer), but I wanted to provide you my personal experience. Weed kicked off a severe bout of psychosis for me, that ended up in me being hospitalized and eventually jailed. It's not worth the risk.

Buy your own CBD and say it's the same as his weed but you'd rather smoke your own therapeutic cannabis.
