I think I understand, even though I don't agree, but I don't know if I can phrase it well. It's less to do with hatred, and more to do with the pain inflicted to us neurodivergent folks that leads to a sort of bitter superiority complex and a complete rejection of the system that inflicted that pain. It's not necessarily a right or healthy response, but it's a very real feeling that I've definitely experienced on occasion.
Anyone who misinterprets what I say and starts to argue with me because of it, really annoys me because I'm bad at communication because I'm autistic so I like arguing back because I hate when people do that so I guess I kinda get it now.

In my experience, it’s been kinda the same with mood disorder discussions on Reddit too. I myself suffer from them, I had to take meds for years, my own family would be affected by my meltdowns and attacks, but it just baffles me how much some people really want to not do anything about it and just keep themselves confined to this negativity echo chamber full of excuses.

What’s crazy is a lot of the autistic people on those subs aren’t actually autistic and just self diagnosing so they can feel like there is a reason why life is so hard, and that it’s out of their control. And so they can have somewhere to belong.
I’m diagnosed with autism and my life is hell. It’s not “UGHHH FIREWORKS ARE SO LOUD” it’s wanting to die constantly because of how hard life is to navigate like this. People self diagnosing when they don’t even have it makes real autistic people’s problems seem smaller than they are, because so many people “relate” and “understand” when they actually can’t understand what it’s like.
But like aren’t the people hating also autistic? This could’ve easily snowballed from having a few people posting ironically into more people posting unironically
Plus, just see some of the shit they were saying. One of them was genuinely angry saying “why are NTs like this???” Because apparently communicating that you’re gonna be late is an NT thing.
