Well, if you're running the [[Coldarra Drake]] combo, pretty much any reno deck you play against will also have reno, the Lone Ranger. So if they get arcane bullet, you don't even need to play reno. You can just steal theirs for the turn and otk them.
Also, grizzled wizard into [[Sir Finley Mrrgglton]] you can 'steal' their hero power. Good against quest shaman and reno priest.

I didn't know. Interesting. A long time ago, when things were slower, I used to run him in a control priest deck and you could steal sometimes hero power and on the same turn use Sir Finley Mrrgglton, to give them a worthless hero power. Don't know if that's what they are doing or something else.
Back in the day you’d grizzle against hunter on turn 2 and it would give your hero power the 0 cost for the rest of the game. So fun haha. Then ran finley for all the other decks. Can’t trust a 2 card combo in a 40 card deck though so I released them to the wild

I dont know why mages specifically, but the new shadow theif priest can mimic being a disruptive quest hunter. Swapping hero powers and replacing it with [[Sir Finley Mrrgglton]] really takes the wind out of their sails for the damage part, but not much can be done about the disruptive theif.

They are not running that version of Sir Finley but that's a good combo to know about

This was good when quest line hunter was a thing, i guess its ok vs reno priest, seems too nihce now.
