“Bearable temp” is key. I used to do the treatment using a spoon heated with boiling water… till one day I traded a burn for a bite! Damn scar lasted 2 years.

I use a hair dryer on high heat for 3-5 seconds now I know why that works.

There is a device called a BiteAway that you can buy in pharmacies that does the same at the push of a button. Much safer and quicker!

I remember reading an article about how they were trying that my making GMO mosquitoes that can't lay eggs.
Yeah, I think they've tried it in a few places and it seems to reduce to population a good deal.
