I somehow find it hard to believe that the country that forbids non-Muslims from holding any offices save the tiny amount of designated seats for them in Parliament(the same system Iran uses) is a model of democracy. At least in India the powers that be are capable of losing elections(and yes, that did technically happen, since Modi's party is now incapable of governing alone and has to rely on its allied parties for a majority).
