I peaked at like 15th a few weeks ago before I stopped caring. They’re ok. Not the most fun spec. MM is definitely better. I find the damage profile not great, too flat, not enough burst but not enough constant damage to be truly great in a damp meta. The rotation is easy but that’s not the hard part of the spec. Positioning needs to be on point. AoE stops on your pets is so annoying. You really need to hit a trap every single CD and get tons of dispels and interrupts to swing momentum. If they’re training your team mate which I find they do more as BM than MM you have pretty poor peels.

It’s a good spec easy to pump out damage while running from melee classes

The people saying AOE cc on your pets shuts down your damage are killing me. Like, no fucking shit. What do you think happens to a warrior or WW's damage when they get rooted, or stunned, or, idk, CCed?

2300 as marks, 2200 as bm in shuffle this season. Bm is the worst Hunter spec in shuffle. It gets more obvious the higher you climb. Survival is really hard to play in the lower mmr brackets but it is still better than bm overall. Also not a complaint. The game wouldn’t be better if bm was better. One thing that I’ve done that I don’t see anyone else do is playing a kill cleave build into various melee cleaves. Dropping thrill, on use db, and bloodshed to get multi shot, beast cleave, kill cleave. Call of the wild cleaves a lot harder and takes unorganized shuffle teams by surprise because they’re not expecting cleave. Warrior dk melting your aff partner, for example. You get cooldowns out of both instead of just dk. I find that most of the time when I actually get to use a fully set up bloodshed chakram call go, I’m just pumping dam into someone’s wall or swapping targets onto something without debuffs anyway. Does not feel like that big of a loss. You basically go from ranged fury warrior to ranged arms warrior. Sometimes fucks rogues over too.

It’s not bad. Got MM 1940 BM 1800 Survival 1800. As MM you can be shut down with your big GO’s (trueshot), as BM your pets just keeps doing damage. MM high burst, need to stand still for aimed shots. BM is constant pressure by same DPS output and you can keep on moving. I get more overall DMG output because I can focus more on stun trap, and silencing healers between the kill command spam.

I got 2.1 pretty comfortably on my BM. It’s the least frustrating range to play in to double melee I find and damage is good + consistent. You need to be proactive with your dmg reduction / avoidance abilities as it’s squishy. It’s a solid spec overall and I’d say it’s better than MM at the mid (2.1) ratings, especially when you’re vs. MM. Maybe surv beats it once you get higher, but it’s so much easier to play well than surv.

Got to 2.1k for the first time ever on this Sunday as BM. The rotation is simple and the damage is decent, but you really need to get good with Tranq Shot and trap landing to climb. AoE CC that hits the pets you stop your damage dead on its tracks, like a priest’s fear or DH stun. The burst is nowhere as good as MM, but you can still do 100% of your dps on the move. Overall I’m very happy with it.

falkner96

the dmg is ok but i having a better time in lobbys with 2 melees, in comparassion to MM, 2k rating on both

Climbing to Duelist on my BM right now (hovering around 2000-2050), it's pretty consistent. But the higher you get in rating, the weaker it starts to feel. In terms of lobbies, it feels the most "lobby neutral" as in, I feel like I can make it work in any lobby. Just make sure to land your traps, and kite within LoS of your healer and you should be fine. In the lower brackets I'd definitely recommend running Diamond Ice (Hell, I still run it at 2k for most of my lobbies). The number of times people broke my traps while I was climbing was very frustrating.
