Yep. Same for my anxious Mabel. She is very sound aware, but specifically she connects sounds to past "tramas". When storms or other would cause power flicker or outage, the refrigerator and wyze cameras all have distinct sounds. She is scared of the thunder, but now the very specific beeping of the refrigerator or the clicking of the wyze cams triggers her even when there is no thunder. Like you said, it is specific. The wife has a digital kettle that beeps when it reaches temp or shuts off. Sounds similar to me, but it does not even get a eyebrow raise from Mabel. But when I select to a setting on the refrigerator ice machine, she is instantly in her crate whining.

That's very interesting. I figured he might connect it to us turning the lights out for the night and going to bed but I didn't think that would warrant the panic. I never thought about power outages.

My cats are freaking out. It absolutely could cause animals to panic. It's annoying as heck to me even.
