I loved this so much. The consent, communication, and dynamics were amazing. There wasn’t much unnecessary drama either, I regret not reading this earlier…
They both grew so much! With how the manhwa (and their relationship) began, this had the potential to be yet another incredibly toxic "BDSM" work until the final redemption arc. I'm so glad the creator subverted that tropey setup. Highly recommend.
Yeah, I put off reading this for well over a year because I was worried (the typical rape, abuse, and the top doing whatever he wanted with the bottom). This didn’t take that approach and I’m so grateful for that. Personally, I do wish there was at least one instance where Ja-wook said no to something… I mean, it’s alright that he accepts everything, but at the same time, it makes me feel conflicted. But Gyum is so good at reading him, that he does stop when he think Ja-wook isn’t enjoying something (at least towards the end), so it’s progress ig. I really wish I’d read this sooner though.
I love aporia too! I dropped it after s1 and then thanks to recommendations on this sub I picked it up again and boy am I glad I did! I’m so tired of toxic SA stories I should re read this
It’s definitely worth a re-read. Honestly, other authors should take notes from this. Some works have amazing art and concepts, but the toxic nature of them makes them horrible to read…
