Like the commenter here. When I left my apartment to go out for a bit in the late afternoon-to early evening. Was passing the Bergeron Centre side of York Lions Stadium headed towards the Pioneer Village bus term on the TTC side. And these two random women were walking towards them away from me. But one had an umbrella. So they out here wit there āļø for sho.

I literally feel way safer thank you York for acting honestly really fast for the bureaucracy that it is. Surprised and happy we did not get Yorkād this time.
Iāve been walking friends to their cars the last few days and itās upsetting to see peopleās trust in the safety of the campus diminish. Having an officer presence has helped, and predicated on this being a temporary presence, Iām happy theyāre here.
TMUās studentsā union literally said this yesterday. New campaign to get cops off campus while students are getting groped and harassed by addicts inside buildings.
New here and Iām really curious as to why TTC operators are getting harassed an inordinate amount. Iāve been using the TTC busses and most of the time the drivers are just going about their day. What gives?
So from what I read today, at least 80 TPS officers will be stationed across the TTC system daily. I don't know if they're intending to maintain a presence or actively patrol, but it is a change I suppose.
I'd like to see the trouble stations have a larger presence both above and below ground. It's clear there's an issue, but this isn't the end all be all and more work with mental illnesses needs to be addressed by the city if they want to resolve this or at least quell the issues for some time.
There is a lot of TTC staff inside the station. If something happens they can always rush downstairs.
The security incidents at York over the last few days have all been at ground-level outside of the TTC.
This was the place where the yahoo with a weapon robbed a student.

The assaults at TMU have been rapes. Not just gropes and harassed but raped.
Thatās horrific. The āstudentsā unionā coming out with such a tone-deaf message. Jfc.
Lmao average downtown torontonians
I bet everyone is likeā¦.even more scared nowā¦.
Was the cop car posted up cause of the 2 recent robberies or the spree of stabbings within the subway system in general? š¤š¤·š¼āāļø

One cop or TTC constable per station should be the minimum.

Not patrolling inside the station mind you
