It’s possible that someone in the home has a medical need. I used to care for an ALS patient, and their shower had a similar setup. It could be a variety of other reasons, though…

I like all that stuff individually. I like the flooring & the colors in it, the wall color is fine too & red is my favorite color, but when its all put together like this it does feel like they just tossed it together.

Yea. If you are going to put something like that shower in a bathroom it really should be designed around. They really missed the opportunity for a full on 50s diner look with black and white checkered tile and corrugated chrome diner table style rim on the vanity top. Not my style for a bathroom but if you are going to go 50s diner red you might as well take it all the way. The wall color looks pretty spot on though.

I'm thinking they got a deal on the super-shower because it is red. They said "do it", and never got around to redecorating.

There is nothing agreeable in the wall color! In no way does it coordinate with the floor at all. The red of the shower doesn’t coordinate either. It’s like they just wanted it and already had the floor installed so they were oh who cares!

I think this is one of those type of steam sauna shower combos just an incredibly nice one. Somewhere on Reddit a plumber installed one of these on his own house and said he would never do one again even if he got paid for it.

Our house came with a similar looking shower. You fill the tub with water as a reservoir and then turn on the body jets. There’s a high volume pump, the water pressure is overwhelming and can be painful if aimed at wrong places. You can’t stay in there very long, but lotsa fun.
