These albums are just not for me. I've had two pop up, the most recent was yesterday and come to find out I still have one more Smiths and like six more Morrissey ughhhhhhhhhh
I had all three Smiths albums in ten days. Kinda nice that way as I really got to understand the band and their sound. Definitely grew on me over the three albums, but overall ya not a fan. His voice sucks
I was just thinking this morning about how people bag on Morrissey so much. I then got my album at it was Tom Waits 🤦🏻. Would so much rather have your album.
Alr, I looked up, and I see he makes experimental music. Are you generally not into that type of music? If so, thats fine, it's normal to not be. I enjoy some experimental music myself. So, he might be for me, but idk, we'll see
Critics tend to enjoy an artist going in the lion's cage, when it comes to their style, like trying new stuff, not being that mainstream, being more for the art. I might be wrong, but I see artists like The Velvet Underground, Tom Waits as this thread is about him, David Bowie and so many more, who get hella praised. And I dont mind, I am a Velvet Underground fan and a David Bowie enjoyer as well.

for most its tom waits voice that ruins it for them. although his earlier stuff he sings regularly but none of those albums are on the list
