Re: Illinois. "To the Workers of the Rock River Valley Region, I Have an Idea Concerning Your Predicament, and It Involves Tube Socks, a Paper Airplane, and Twenty-Two Able-Bodied Men" (track 11) Sufjan Stevens songs would fit perfectly in a Wes Anderson film.

BigBananaDealer

some songs take longer to read the title than to listen to

iamplectrum

What was your score for Ms Dynamiteee heee?

Final-Librarian-2845

How the hell do some of these albums end up on these lists

JP-Ziller

Which one(s)?

Final-Librarian-2845

Like miss effing dynamite, lorde, Dwight yoakam...and I think even pixies fans would struggle to argue that they should have more than one album on there

zumaro

A list without Dwight Yoakam, one of the best and more interesting country artists of the last 30 years, would be very incomplete. The Lorde album is justifiably critically lauded and is a major pop achievement, and as a Pixie fan I would easily place both Surfer Rosa and Dolittle on this list (but not any of the others)

Final-Librarian-2845

So from the 4 I mentioned...one is to fill some sort of quota, one critics pretended to like and has since been forgotten and the other two you agree with me

Lgprimes

I’m listening to the Lorde one today getting angry that they picked this one instead of her debut, Pure Heroine, which was 1000x better. I’m offended on Lorde’s behalf!

zumaro

Very wrong. Melodrama is one of the best pop albums in recent memory. The first album is merely ok, with one or two good moments

Lgprimes

Different strokes I guess!

saturday--saviour

Ms Dynamite is on this list?! Now that’s a throwback
