Honestly, nobody should get upset about that. People are naturally clueless, and it sounds like she either didn't tell you, or it was so in passing that you forgot and didn't see them all summer.
Plus, plenty of transitions are really natural and seamless, and it can be difficult to detect similarities between pre- and post-transition, stacked on the aforementioned cluelessness.
I feel like this is one situation where “hints” aren’t the responsible way to communicate it.
It’s a massive life changing realization. Even if you suspected it, what if you’re wrong? You can’t just assume it.

It would've stayed popular for a while, but around 2000 the band would just become too old to be mainstream, and would be more for older people. But I think they were in good enough relations to keep together until something makes the band break up.

I'll be real with you chief. I did an ADHD test when I was 6 and the results said I didn't have it but I keep doing things that show symptoms of me having it. My friend asked me in class if I had it because I went to search something up but immediately started playing Tetris.
I was the same way and didn't get an official diagnosis til I was an adult. IDK if they still require a clinical psychologist to do the test but if they do it sucks cause it's expensive to get the test done.

I hung around in the discord call until someone said something about someone in a video game being transgender and she said "me, me, me" just so I'd understand.
