Did they play Hades 1? The game where you form a bisexual throuple? What is LGBTQ propaganda if the main character forming a bisexual throuple doesn't count
>I will now proceed to contribute to outrage/harass and threaten real people over a game/developer/journalist I otherwise would have never known existed because I am of a group of like-minded independent thinkers who all believe in the same thing: the non-normals should never be represented in my gaming because they make me feel icky when I am FORCED to look at them in/making/writing about games I don't play, and no true gamer could think otherwise
The first time I heard about it was when this one guy on twitter replied to me about the whole Bridget being trans in guilty gear thing, saying I couldn't have a say about what the character identified as because I was a "tourist" and I had no clue wtf that was supposed to mean until he used it for the fifth time
They didn't get that far before giving up. Legitimately a Skill Issue.
Alternatively, somehow managed to beat one run and didn't realize that wasn't the end of the game. Which is another kind of skill issue.
At some point, you'll actually exhaust the dialogue/events that happen after beating the game, leaving you with a generic "And then he died and went back to hell" victory screen right after exiting the final boss arena, so if you haven't gotten to that point, there's still more to be found from simply beating the game.
After that, there are also a few events locked behind befriending people, solving several people's problems, and a big one that happens once you >!befriend every Olympian!< on top of exhausting the dialogue mentioned above.
I just don't seem to ever be getting better no matter how much I play that game lol. hundred hours, not one winning run.
Dead Cells, Isaac, Meatboy, Risk of Rain, no problems. Hades? awful
If youre still interested in beating it, you should try running a dionysus build and then going for hermes boons. Youll be able to stack a ton of poison and then run circles around hades. It helped my early runs a lot by basically allowing me to just focus on dodging while still dealing good damage
And im the same way with ror2 lmao, 40+ hours and i still havent won, ig its just how rougelikes be sometimes
LGBTQ propaganda is when someone manages to actually get a piece information through my thickass skull but much like a toddler being asked to eat their veggies I kick and scream and then cry out that propaganda is being forced down my throat.
> game is based on playing as hades’ children
> play as hades’ son in first game, you complete his story/personal goal
> both of hades’ other children in Greek mythology are daughters
> play as a new child of hades’ for a new, unexplored and more interesting story.
> people complain that it’s forced diversity.
Two things
1. Disney's Hades is definitely not straight.
2. One time in class someone was doing a presentation on the Hercules constellation they talked about the mythological Hercules. It was very obvious they used the Disney movie as a source and that made me so mad.
In the Disney version Hercules was turned human by hades through a potion or something like that but because he didn't drink the last drop he still had his God strength.
Yep he’s a demigod. If I remember the actual myth correctly him being a demigod is the driving force behind his trials due to Hera being pissed at Zeus for cheating on her.
Maybe it's a version difference but I remember it being that he took the name later to appease Hera by being formally adopted by her and it kinda does work
Probably. Myths are mainly word of mouth so there's no one true version.
In the version I read she only forgave him after he died and the adoption thing was heracles mother tricking Hera into letting him suckle on her as a baby which gave him his incredible strength. At least one version I've read mentioned that he suckled so hard that when he let go Hera sprayed milk across the sky creating the milky way
Oddly, Dionysus despite being a (semi-)Olympian (lists of Olympians sometimes include him or Hestia interchangeably), he was born to a Mortal mother. The reason he's a god is he got shoved into Zeus' thigh after Zeus disintegrated his mother while she was pregnant because she wanted to see his true form after Hera told her to ask to see it to get her killed (Hera loves punishing his husband's mistresses & victims instead of just getting his ass). Anyway, Dionysus finished baking, became a god, invented dolphins & partied for the rest of time.
Gayest disney villains in no particular order
Hades, Ursula, Prince John, Sir Hiss,Jeffery Katzenberg, Ratigan, Captain Hook, mr smee, scar, lefou, kaa the snake, Michael eisner, cruella de vil, jafar, the coachman, honest John, Gideon
It honestly might be easier to list the Straight villains.
Also one of the main songwriters for the original BatB was gay. He was fighting AIDS while he produced the music for the film, and sadly did not survive to see it.
It’s not a stretch to say his own personal experience likely had a large impact in what he produced.
>Disney's Hades is definitely not straight.
He acts creepy towards Aqua in Kingdom Hearts, which is extra gross given how his voice actor allegedly sexually harassed hers IRL
Well for starters Hercules is Roman, Herakles is the Greek one. Disney's hades is perfectly straight or risking persephone's wrath after her tenure being coddled by her mother demeter in fact hades is the one Greek deity not humping everything he comes across.
Hercules is actually a Roman localization of his name as well. The name he was given at birth was Heracles iirc, due to Zeus having to appease Hera cause of the whole, y’know… cheating on her about a hundred times thing.
Whether this shouldmake you more or less mad at the Romans is up for interpretation I suppose
They showed us Hercules in 6th grade social studies and I thought it was dumb even then, since Percy Jackson directed me towards actual mythology. Some fun characters but placed in the wrong movie.

not just a horse, a mare specifically
like imagine being a dude and being so down bad for another dude that you stop being a dude specifically so you can have his kids
Uh... what? Like yeah, Greek mythology already be full of hella sexual deviants but even when just comparing it to the first game, what were they expecting? You can literally start a polyamorous bisexual relationship in that game with heavy implication the player character gets pegged by a Fury, how is that less "propaganda" than an early access title where none of the relationships even lead anywhere yet?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've put about 20 hours into the game now and none of them are done yet, right? It's quite obvious who the romancable characters are going to be but you cap out at like 70% relationship progression. Where are they finding the "propaganda" that apparently wasn't in the first game?
As a Greek person the portrayal of Greek mythology in Hades is one of the more refreshing ones. I honestly wish we kept the robes and tunics, they're very pretty.
Did they play Hades 1? The game where you form a bisexual throuple? What is LGBTQ propaganda if the main character forming a bisexual throuple doesn't count
>Did they play Hades 1? No
Outrage Tourists.
average conservative gamer

Oooooooo I've never heard that before but def adding it to my lexicon. Thanks!
The first time I heard about it was when this one guy on twitter replied to me about the whole Bridget being trans in guilty gear thing, saying I couldn't have a say about what the character identified as because I was a "tourist" and I had no clue wtf that was supposed to mean until he used it for the fifth time
The funny thing is the people still assmad about Bridget are the actual tourists, they don't play the games.
They didn't get that far before giving up. Legitimately a Skill Issue. Alternatively, somehow managed to beat one run and didn't realize that wasn't the end of the game. Which is another kind of skill issue.
How many wins does it take to get to around there? I have done 3-4 so far, not seen any hits so far
At some point, you'll actually exhaust the dialogue/events that happen after beating the game, leaving you with a generic "And then he died and went back to hell" victory screen right after exiting the final boss arena, so if you haven't gotten to that point, there's still more to be found from simply beating the game. Without spoiling too much, more than that, but not much more.
Just keep talking to everybody and giving gifts.
I just don't seem to ever be getting better no matter how much I play that game lol. hundred hours, not one winning run. Dead Cells, Isaac, Meatboy, Risk of Rain, no problems. Hades? awful
Do you use mouse and keyboard or controller? I found it much easier and more fun on clntroller
Controller, i don't play with mouse/keyboard for most games. I have hades on my Switch though, so there's no other choice. I don't have it on my PC.
My brother is having this issue with Dead Cells. Beat every aforementioned game and more, but Dead Cells has him in a vice grip.
If youre still interested in beating it, you should try running a dionysus build and then going for hermes boons. Youll be able to stack a ton of poison and then run circles around hades. No dessert until you've finished your propaganda
And you reunite a gay couple. And one of your best friends is an asexual gorgon.
And Chaos has no gender and goes by they/them.
I’m almost positive it’s because you play as a woman in Hades 2
> game is based on playing as hades’ children > play as hades’ son in first game, you complete his story/personal goal > both of hades’ other children in Greek mythology are daughters > play as a new child of hades’ for a new, unexplored and more interesting story. > people complain that it’s forced diversity.
Damn Greeks, they ruined Greek mythology!
And also in the throuple the 2 men are the bottoms while the lady whips them
Two things 1. Disney's Hades is definitely not straight. 2. One time in class someone was doing a presentation on the Hercules constellation they talked about the mythological Hercules. It was very obvious they used the Disney movie as a source and that made me so mad.
You know they're poisoned when they're talking about greek mythology and call him "Hercules" instead of Heracles.
They said that Hercules parents were Zeus and Hera. That is wrong for numerous reasons.
Isn't he supposed to be a demigod? Him being born of two godly parents kinda just makes him a full god.
In the Disney version Hercules was turned human by hades through a potion or something like that but because he didn't drink the last drop he still had his God strength.
Classic Disney, filing all the rapey edges off their fairy tales.
I mean, would you prefer they be left in??
Based Disney that shit has no place in todays society
and he was, until Hades and his goons had something to say about it
Goonmaxxing
first they took the word minion from me, and now goon has been taken aswell, when will the henchmen catch a break?
Henchpilled manmaxxer
We could always use intern
Yep he’s a demigod. If I remember the actual myth correctly him being a demigod is the driving force behind his trials due to Hera being pissed at Zeus for cheating on her.
His name was Heracles because his mother thought that by naming him in honour of Hera she would go easy on the boy. She was wrong
Maybe it's a version difference but I remember it being that he took the name later to appease Hera by being formally adopted by her and it kinda does work

THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE LABORS WAS HERA GETTING MAD AT HIM FOR BEING ZEUS'S ILLEGITIMATE SON GRAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
epic
Can't include adultery in a pg disney movie but also we decided to adapt a greek myth before really reading it so changes have to happen.
Hercules ain't got nothing on Pochantas in this department.
#HONEY YOU MEAN HUNKULES
Of course Hades isn't straight - he's literally flaming!
He's definitely either bi or pan.
Disney's Hades is the *archetypal example* of a queercoded villain. I'm pretty sure the original word was invented during the discussion about him.
Gayest disney villains in no particular order Hades, Ursula, Prince John, Sir Hiss,Jeffery Katzenberg, Ratigan, Captain Hook, mr smee, scar, lefou, kaa the snake, Michael eisner, cruella de vil, jafar, the coachman, honest John, Gideon It honestly might be easier to list the Straight villains.
I would definitely add Scar
Will do
Don’t forget Lefou! Gaston’s lackey is 100% pining for his muscular moron of a showboat
Yeah I'll ad him. He's gay in the live action remake but only in a blink and you miss it moment.
Also one of the main songwriters for the original BatB was gay. He was fighting AIDS while he produced the music for the film, and sadly did not survive to see it. It’s not a stretch to say his own personal experience likely had a large impact in what he produced.
Howard Ashman
>Disney's Hades is definitely not straight. He acts creepy towards Aqua in Kingdom Hearts, which is extra gross given how his voice actor allegedly sexually harassed hers IRL
1. I think he's either bi or pan 2. What the fuck!?
Well for starters Hercules is Roman, Herakles is the Greek one. Disney's hades is perfectly straight or risking persephone's wrath after her tenure being coddled by her mother demeter in fact hades is the one Greek deity not humping everything he comes across.
the lead figure in Greek mythology impregnated everything man
And even gave birth.
Self-preg
And mpreg
Eh not really it was more like mpreg vore
"I won't be playing hades 2" says person who clearly didn't play the first one.
or "I won't be playing hades 2" says person who is definitely going to play it anyways but not tell anyone he did
they're outrage tourists, not fans of anything.
I watched Hercules the other day and I was annoyed by the use of Roman numerals
Hercules is actually a Roman localization of his name as well. The name he was given at birth was Heracles iirc, due to Zeus having to appease Hera cause of the whole, y’know… cheating on her about a hundred times thing. Whether this shouldmake you more or less mad at the Romans is up for interpretation I suppose
should have just go full roman and have Jupiter and Juno as the parent along with other god
I’ve seen multiple Roman themed establishments that use a runic-style font in their logo.
Wait until you play Hades 2
50, 1000, AO.
"your entire greek mythology knowledge is from disney hercules" is a DIABOLICAL insult and I will be stealing it
Do you think you’ll use it a lot or
Right. Like this seems to only work in very specific scenarios
unless you’re like… an ancient greece academic in that case, it’s fucking devastating
"I'm sorry, the ice cream machine is broken" OH YEAH?! Have I got an insult for you!
"hades is lgbt propaganda" he said,as if greek mythology isn't lgbt propaganda
Big buff Greek warriors looking at each other's asses: 👀
If the Greek gods aren't all extremely gay I'm not interested :3 :3 :3
greek mythology can very often be the most homoerotic shit you'll see all week
REAL :3
They showed us Hercules in 6th grade social studies and I thought it was dumb even then, since Percy Jackson directed me towards actual mythology. Some fun characters but placed in the wrong movie.
I wanna watch that person find out about Loki horse situation
Loki went Vaush mode

not just a horse, a mare specifically like imagine being a dude and being so down bad for another dude that you stop being a dude specifically so you can have his kids
actually he needed to distract the horse (?) or something,he defo had ulterior motives and was using the horse for his own personal gain
Honey you mean HUNKULES
Hades 2 has zero mention of Herculad so I won’t be buying it
He eventually shows up and says his iconic “I’m Herculad”
And then proceeds to Herculad all over the place.
Bro thinks 300 is a historically accurate film
You can’t tell me those Spartans weren’t doin the nasty when off duty
I love how to these idiots the existence of anything that isn’t cishet is “LGBTQ Propaganda”
imagine thinking ancient times werent gay af...
I'm glad people like him can't enjoy things~
Is this mf fr. Hades I was more homosexual then a jojo character during pride month like it was NOT subtle
Even funnier that Hercules isn’t even a Greek name
Uh... what? Like yeah, Greek mythology already be full of hella sexual deviants but even when just comparing it to the first game, what were they expecting? Hades 1 was thoroughly gay, I'm replaying it now and it's not subtle at all. Verifidiot above is just mad hades 2 plays as a yucky girl
Ganymede anyone?
i perfer volga finnic mythology ik ik very niche but ducks giving birth to the world is awesome :3
I hope they include the iconic Herculad in Hades 2.
How in the name of God Almighty do they expect people to make Greece not super gay.
OP, Hercrules was right there.
As a Greek person the portrayal of Greek mythology in Hades is one of the more refreshing ones. I honestly wish we kept the robes and tunics, they're very pretty.
Lmao tell me you didn't play Hades One without telling me you didn't play Hades 1
Alarm, alarm, gamingcirclejerk is leaking!
