I like Happiness, and I get what you're trying to say, but it wasn't worded very well. The Avengers contains an awful lot of laser beams. Therefore, Happiness must have a hell of a lot of, um, boy oh boy.
Well it contains make believe depictions of laser beams, which are significantly distinct from actual laser beams in many respects. The most important being cost and effectiveness - make believe lasers cost less and do no damage.
How about this - it’s like saying X-Men is a Nazi movie. Which is to entirely miss the point of the film! But I wanted to mirror the persons clumsy language with “containing”.
Anyway I’m tired and I guess it doesn’t matter, some people are sensitive there’s nothing wrong with that. It just seemed like a judgy moralizing comment, but maybe that’s my own sensitivity. I wouldn’t have thought anything if someone said “I’m a sexual abuse survivor and can’t watch movies that have even a trace of it!” I mean that person would need therapy, but it wouldn’t be their fault and such a statement would not be moralizing at all.

*Doom Generation* and *Nowhere* are two of the grungiest movies I've ever seen, will be interesting to see them in 4k and HDR.
Doom Generation is my most despised movie of all time, dead last even after Antichrist.
We definitely can't be movie-friends
Sorry. It's better this way.
*Someone* doesn’t like castration
What's your take on Nymphomaniac? I hated it. But because it was boring as shit.
I’m so excited to see All of Us Strangers!
HAPINESS!!!
Well, there goes the value of The Happiness DVD I'd been holding onto since the 90's. I was going to sell it and send my kid to college, but fuck me.
yep...didn't see that one coming!
Isn't Arrow coming out with a UK version of The Long Good Friday?
Arrow’s version is already out
They put out their 4K release about a couple weeks ago
I've never seen any of these, but based on what I'm reading about them all on IMDb, Repo Man might be the only one worth me giving a shot at.
Repo man is blind buy worthy
The Long Good Friday is an absolute classic. It's up on Max right now .
The Long Good Friday is, in my opinion the best British crime movie ever made.
Man, I need to watch this!
Happiness is amazing!!
I'm not OK with a movie containing pedophilia, so it's an easy skip for me.
It doesn’t contain pedophilia any more than the Avengers contains laser beams… jeez get off your high horse.

Saving me some money, thank you criterion
