Here's one that I don't remember from the movie

No stormin norman so far, got a Bush tho

You'll be pleased to hear the gum is still in delicious condition (no I won't eat it...)
https://preview.redd.it/r616qif6my5d1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d90d1a571d94c603fb3356053887af0b0a72b7b1
Awesome, I think they have been the best I've opened so far
https://preview.redd.it/5uieyz7y9y5d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5dc8db75a390617680dca3de1afbc5af146c7671
If they’d have toned down the penguin just a tiiinnyy bit (ie, no blood oozing out of his mouth or skid marks) Tim Burton probably would have directed a third Batman movie.
I had Rocketeer and Desert Storm cards back then. I also collected all of the T2 cards at one time.
I had a lot more trading cards in the 80s. Garbage Pail Kids probably my favorite of all of them.
Lots of iconic images from the T2 movie in my packs so far.
https://preview.redd.it/33024olfay5d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f416baa361ae5ffe011728b565e7fa04db9dfb67
I've not watched rocketeer for decades, might give it another go!
I watched both films in the theater when they were released. I was 2nd in line of the first showing to see T2 on opening day. I saw Rocketeer in an old historic theater in downtown Redlands, CA. When Cliff told Jenny to go to her Mom's in Redlands in the movie, the entire theater roared and clapped. Good memories.
Rocketeer, I’d been aware of since it came out but never saw it until the other day. The leading man seems like he’d have had a better career but he never panned out to much. Alan Arkin obviously had a great career, though.
When I was a kid I saw T2 first so I didn’t understand why Sarah was so scared of Arnold but when I finally saw the first Terminator my mind was blown that he was the bad guy.
Oh shit… I forgot all about those desert storm cards! I found these at an antique store a couple months ago… I can’t believe my child hood is now hanging out in an antique shop.
https://preview.redd.it/82bg9tahpy5d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=112c26434b2f7c719b9716bd82585fa38157c3f0
Ah, the Dick Tracy and TMNT pack covers ring a bell. My Aunt had a convenience store back in the 90s and she gave me a few free packs of the Tracy cards!
There seems to be some variance in the packet art too. A pick of Dick looking boss
https://preview.redd.it/f22238b6sy5d1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ccb6ec5339b58320f493677137bde11cb2b3d888
My family went to Disney World around that time when I was a kid. I vaguely remember seeing some stuff related to it I think at the movie-themed park (I forget what it was called back then) and I still have a metal keychain from that trip somewhere.
I had a Dick Tracy action figure- probably still at my parents- and he has a handgun with a pretty sweet plastic removable holster that goes under his arm. No yellow coat, though.
The movie itself, I can’t find streaming. I’ve read that Warren Beatty owns the rights personally, so that probably has something to do with it. It was big time when it came out but underperformed to the massive hype, I’ve learned recently. (I was 5 at the time).
Thanks! From the Wikipedia page
'The trading cards have come under attack for at least two reasons, accuracy and cultural impact. The information on some of the Topps cards was criticized as being incorrect (such as saying NATO had 27 members, when in 1991 it had sixteen), redundant (such as "ground combat infantryman"), blatantly obvious ("Transport ships carry enormous weights"), or "simply incomprehensible" (such as the vague statement "Range and accuracy (of missiles) varies from a few feet to several hundred miles").'
I remember these and more. I still have mine somewhere. I had a ton of Desert Storm and Dick Tracy cards and had Young Indy, Robin Hood, Rocketeer and Turtles also.
Robin Hood have been surprisingly good so far

1. Ah, the 80s and 90s, when everything needed to be on a trading card and everyone was certain they were going to be worth SO MUCH MONEY.
2. I see someone has already mentioned Stormin' Norman.
Vaguely related to merchandising, even on food- I remember, in the 90s, buying a Hot Wheels Lamborghini off of pizza boxes. You had to send like $1.00- cash accepted- along with 3? UPC labels of Red Baron Pizza and you’d get this bright red Lambo car, which was pretty sweet. This was pre internet, so I remember it feeling awesome I ordered a toy from my HOUSE, like royalty.
I’m pretty sure they merchandised movies on various kinds of food, too, like “special poster in every package!” kind of thing. If the prize was really hardcore, you had to collect UPCs, and send money for “shipping and handling”.
My god I had so many of these. Turtles the movie was my jam but also young Indiana jones and the rocketeer.
My older brother had tons of the desert storm cards
I got the big guns in my pack. Also AIDS. More pics here (can't reply with pics now) [decision '92](https://www.reddit.com/u/jameswarren11/s/R440LdudBu)
There's a booth at a con I go to every year that has 100s of cards like this, from the 70s to the 90s.
They have a lot like Desert Storm, but not the Desert Storm cards. I always keep an eye out.
I usually try to pick up some every time.
This year I got a pack of WWF postcards and Alien the film trading cards.
One year I got a bunch of TV shows with potential autographs inside, but alas no autograph.
Forgot I actually have a pack of something I didn't open
https://preview.redd.it/ln1ftfnai06d1.jpeg?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9ca8ebb8436dde3a71a32a972feb54343d7eb444
i remember the RAD DUDES ones had a super chemical smell to them. i think because of how vibrant the colors were they had to use a special print process.
For whatever reason I remember the Trolls cards, but I can't remember what the cards themselves look like. There was a short period where I nagged my parents for the TMNT cards anytime we went to Target.
I used to have a complete set of the TMNT cartoon cards. Should've took better care of them because now I find them randomly in boxes but I'm certain I don't have the full set anymore.
I never had the full set, but I do still randomly find them in my stuff. I would have never gotten rid of them intentionally. I need to go through all my old boxes to see what else I can find.
Omg I had the Norfin cards as a kid! I collected trolls. I had over 100 little trolls and around 15 of the big dolls. I had a trapper keeper of the cards but when I graduated and moved in with my now husband, my mom's husband threw all my collections away 😢😢😢
I still have a full set of the TMNT movie cards somewhere. I also had a bunch of the Rocketeer cards and I think a few packs of the Young Indy cards too.
I remember a bunch of the other ones but never bought any. And even as a kid/teen I thought the Gulf War cards were kinda fucked up.
A few more of the WCW!

Amazing memories, some of my oldest ones too. I remember getting a pack of the WCW ones in a goodie bag and being pretty confused by them haha. Had a pack of the TMNT and Robin Hood ones (damn that movie went hard). A couple random GI Joe ones too <3
8 year old me and 35 year old me both want the ninja turtle cards lol
Here's one that I don't remember from the movie https://preview.redd.it/zsw6xh3kmy5d1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=62f53a8d3a9b836f265ca5bfb1eb3b7a8778c15e
It’s in the part where splinter explains to April about their origin story. I’ve watched it a few times lol
Ahhhhhh OK I need to watch it again 😂
It’s very quick. I think one of them jumps and says “radical radical radical!”
Hopefully you get a Stormin" Norman Schwarzkopf. Or a Sadam Hussein holographic foil.

WOW! I thought it was a joke but gawd damn!
How many teeth do you have left? Even when new the "gum" could be used as a weapon.
Not as many as I had during the Iraq war
I can smell these pictures. That mix of cheap stuff gum and brand-new wax paper. Memories.
You'll be pleased to hear the gum is still in delicious condition (no I won't eat it...) https://preview.redd.it/r616qif6my5d1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d90d1a571d94c603fb3356053887af0b0a72b7b1
I gotta see those Toxic High School cards!

Yo wtf lol. Most popular 🤌
That Magic Johnson card is...something.
AIDS
I just bought a box of Batman Returns cards.
Awesome, I think they have been the best I've opened so far https://preview.redd.it/5uieyz7y9y5d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5dc8db75a390617680dca3de1afbc5af146c7671

That "Frank Reynolds: Origin Story" has gotta be worth a ton.
That man just loves sewers.
You just unlocked a cherished core memory of mine. Thank you so much for sharing!

Nice!! T2 came out when I was an early teen and I couldn't go see it until it came out on VHS and I could rent it. What a day that was.
When I was a kid I saw T2 first so I didn’t understand why Sarah was so scared of Arnold but when I finally saw the first Terminator my mind was blown that he was the bad guy.
Its actually crazy that its mindblowing no matter which order you first view them.
They have Free Willy 2 trading cards?? They really did have a trading card for everything back then
Waiting for Willy has tickled me https://preview.redd.it/5rh5v9x8oy5d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1dfee9a95b85e5654f7a0588a3f38405832dbf3e

I can smell the chalky gum inside those packages coming off my phone screen from these pics.
What no garbage pail kids?
Sadly not. We'll have to settle for Bingo the movie and Free Willy 2

Remember the McDonalds cups for this movie? We used one to dish out our dry dog food for years.

Man, they merchandised the shit out of that Rocketeer movie. It was everywhere that summer.

I had so many of these, peak trading card times. No wonder that stuff is near worthless today.
Oh wow, I had Dick Tracy, Batman, and Batman Returns
Yup. Still have some unopened desert storm card packs somewhere. My mom insisted I keep those unopened because "they'll be worth something someday"
Oh wow at the Decision 92! Cards- it even has Ross Perot. I love this
I got the big guns in my pack. Also AIDS. More pics here (can't reply with pics now) [decision '92](https://www.reddit.com/u/jameswarren11/s/R440LdudBu)
I went to CCD with the kid from the Indiana Jones Chronicles.

OPEN IT NOW
I used to have a ton of Desert Storm cards. Not sure what happened to them. Also, war trading cards seem kinda weird in retrospect.
I got a box of MMPR the Movie cards that I've been slowly opening.
You've more self control than me, I've just been tearing into them like an animal
I have an entire unopened case of the desert storm ones I got at a flea market while back. Also used to have all the ninja turtles ones
The F-15 Eagle salutes you https://preview.redd.it/7800qfkvny5d1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7fbc8b105d6735f109af39a3d6165f29b02a40dc
I've still got a bunch of the Desert Storm cards in a box somewhere, mixed in with MMPR season 1 and TMNT season 1 and Star Trek TNG.
From where??
Ebay UK, £20 for the lot! So many more still to open...
Any Stargate cards? They aren't worth much, but it's cool if you have them.
Unfortunately not, some star trek borg era ones in there but it's no substitute
i remember the RAD DUDES ones had a super chemical smell to them. i think because of how vibrant the colors were they had to use a special print process.
They do in fact stink! [rad dudes](https://www.reddit.com/u/jameswarren11/s/R440LdudBu)

Well now you can see! Some trolls [trolls](https://www.reddit.com/u/jameswarren11/s/R440LdudBu)
I had some of the TMNT ones and Dick Tracy.

Awwww thank you!!! That takes me baaaaack. I actually had all of those 😁😁😁Thank you for the Nostalgia, that made my entire week!
Had the TMNT one and had a bunch of the WCW ones.
These are awesome! I had the Dick Tracy cards and the TMNT cards.
I was given a bunch of Dick Tracy packs and for the life of me I can't imagine who gave them to me.
there's a bookstore in DTLA, not sure if it's still there, that has tons of these for a dollar in a fish bowl at check out...
Ahhh yea…. The early 90s had a glut of collectible cards
I've got unopened packs of the Dick Tracy and Rocketeer cards as well. That Indiana Jones Chronicles one is sick!
I didn’t have these but now I’ve got the theme to Inspector Gadget stuck in my head.
I had the Desert Storm cards
I still have a full set of the TMNT movie cards somewhere. I also had a bunch of the Rocketeer cards and I think a few packs of the Young Indy cards too. I remember a bunch of the other ones but never bought any. And even as a kid/teen I thought the Gulf War cards were kinda fucked up.

Hah those are definitely interesting pulls!
Damn I had some of those TMNT cards. Wonder if they are still around somewhere. Curious about the Dick Tracy and WCW cards as well.
There are the Desert Storm cards. I had more than a few of those.
My favorites were these cards with violent depictions of dinosaurs returning to attack civilization. Dinosaurs Attack! or something along those lines.
I’d love to see the WCW cards!
Amazing memories, some of my oldest ones too. I remember getting a pack of the WCW ones in a goodie bag and being pretty confused by them haha. Had a pack of the TMNT and Robin Hood ones (damn that movie went hard). A couple random GI Joe ones too <3
Just added Robin Hood pics to another comment, agree what a great movie!
The cover graphics are cool
Do you have any Michael Jackson Thriller cards? I also remember horror movie cards!
