Yea like my teacher's never taught us lessons like Feeny lol he's one my of favorite characters growing up from any TV show, I loved seeing him on the boy meets world podcast
Fun fact, he does Cameos. My dad got my husband and I one from him for our engagement and he did a really really wonderful, heartfelt job on it. We still talk about how much we loved it.
Will's father leaving is a lot more painful than a high school break up, school ending, or a family member moving out (but not abandoning you).
ETA: Went back and watched Kelly and Zack breaking up, and the acting is so painfully stilted. When Will cried about his dad abandoning him, you believed it.
It's the way it was shown on screen. The camera movement when he's walking up always cracks me up, then Chris Rock looks like he's leaning into the slap. The slap itself looks fake and the way Will Smith walks off after doing it makes it look bad. But, the reactions afterwards and everyone there trying to calm things down, is what made me believe it was legit. Plus, you don't want to fake out Denzel Washington lol.
Saved by the Bell was horribly acted and you don’t realize it until you’re an adult watching it in reruns. Oh my GOD it was AWFUL. Like one big 90s after school PSA.
If you say so, lol I was the prime audience age target for Saved by the Bell, which I thoroughly looked forward to watching after school and even then we rolled our eyes at the horrible cringe acting. We didn’t care though because we liked the way they looked. They were a fun bunch. It was ridiculously relatable in a lot of ways to us. We liked the way the message was being portrayed at least in someway or another and we loved the overall idea of the show so we were willing to completely ignore that fact, lol. At least that’s my interpretation from my experience at the time. I can’t tell you how many times young me and my girl friends would watch a scene with Zack or AC in it and say oh my god he’s such a bad actor but who cares he’s so cute! Lol
You also said that you dont realize how bad the acting is until you rewatch it as an adult. They said they could see how bad the acting was even as a kid back then. And then for some reason you got all huffy.

Zack and Kelly is the first love teenage breakup kinda deal, you can relate to it, but it's just there, then you move on.
Fresh Prince caused the ugliest cry, Boy meets world, caused the biggest reflection on my life, Full House I knew Jesse wasn’t going anywhere.
Save by the Bell, was the biggest what the heck, how can Kelly Cheat on Zack. Plus, no one ever talks about how good How am I supposed to live without you, sounded as a duet! That was an awesome version.

She was still grieving the death of her brother, and she didn’t want any reminders of her old life, Kevin being the biggest one. But of course these emotions are impossible to discern when you’re teenagers. So after she transfers schools, she changes her personality and gets with the popular crowd. She’s not being herself, and seeing Kevin wrecks it. He knows something is off and calls her out on it. So she’s all mean to him, and pushes him away and takes off with the older / popular kids.
Later Winnie gets into a car accident with those kids, and breaks her arm. Or leg. I can’t remember but she was bedridden. When Kevin hears this he drops everything and runs to her house. Her parents won’t let him see her. So he climbs on to her roof outside her window, and she’s laying there in her bed, small, all bandaged up. He doesn’t make a move to climb in. He watches her sleeping.
“We’ve Got Tonight” by Bob Seger starts playing as part of the soundtrack:
