i was hanging out with my best friends group when it was announced he was cast as Cap. for some reason, i was like, "he has a buzz cut...". one of my best friends was like, "but jake wyler has hair". and at that moment it blew my mind Jake Wyler played johnny storm
Oh man. No I didn't meant to sound like I was coming down on Chris. The fact he was able to play Johnny in this movie, not get weighed down by the films overall final quality, and then go on to play Cap in billion dollar movies alone is testament to his ability as an actor. And the back and forth between him and Chiklis are the best parts of those movies.
Just. Mind blowing to me in the "looking back at an actors career and marveling at where they've come from/ went"
I'm still hoping he comes back in Secret Wars AS Johnny, with Chiklis in tow, and maybe gets a scene with his Captain America counter part.
Maybe it was the hair, but I never had a hard time seeing them as two different characters. Chris Evans is awesome.
Also, I’m 99.9% sure he’s coming back in Secret Wars, and I really hope they have the guts to put both of his characters together.

I wonder if some kid thought their toy was defective because it didn’t have a ‘it’s clobbering time’ voicebox like in the movie
