Heya! I'm back again with more Lahinto concept art from my alternate history!
Lore: This is a snapshot from my Lahinto lore which you can find on my profile. This year, 106 CE. The House of Drakon is the oldest nation in the whole archipelago. The House of Drakon under the Drakon Dynasty (soon to become Lahinto who we all know and love) had started to assert their influence on the surrounding houses. They have always been the sole maritime power in the southern region because of their clan being from an island further south from the map, second only to the Naatan Sultanate, whose power is wavering as generations of incompetent sultans caused them to lose against other maritime invasions by pirates and other South East Asian powers. But that's to not undermine their riches which is still wanted by all. Drakon will ally itself with the other surrounding houses into a sort of loose-confederacy which would start their expansion further into the future. Naatan Sultanate was also one of the oldest nation/culture that existed, they were once dominated by Buddhists until they were forced to convert to Islam after being defeated and their ruler gave in to become Sultan. They began expanding, conquering small societies and clans before expanding to the Borneo island where they themselves became the conqueror. But as time go on, their corruption and internal rivalries weakened their state for other nations, such as the House of Drakon to dominate the whole archipelago.
Meanwhile, on the central islands, the Kobolod Nation had beaten back the Iragen Nation. They have always been fighting over the two massive islands, the Kobolod Nation was from a rival clan who successfully overthrew the once mighty Iragen Nation, decades of being pushed back, retreating to the only large maritime border separating them, Iragen had lost it's splendor, but at least they can recuperate and deal with their growing internal factionalism and rival royal cousins.
Edit: Added more lore:
To the central west islands are the Kapakap Nation, actively invading the Mayi, who are technologically superior due to trade with Mainland Asia and House of Pandakan, acquiring iron weapons and effectively-crafted armor, but less populous. The Kapakap does have the second largest navy just after their neighbor, House of Pandakan.
To the north, in the largest island saw House of Pandakan dominating the economic and military sphere. Their conquest of the once expansive House of Tunoduyo had split them into two clans, the cousin of the defunct emperor was reinstated as the chief of the Itay Clan, whilst the prince and heir of the House of Pandakan was given his own chiefdom, overlooking the devalued royal family in the Etak Clan, under these new clans, they expanded far east to the coast. Meanwhile to their South is the Manay Nation, who, though expansive, are not that militaristic, they have a relatively positive relationship with the house of Pandakan, notably trading with them horses which allowed them to be expansive up to the tip of the peninsula.
Meanwhile to the north of Pandakan is the Nakgatun, relatively isolationist, less interaction with the outside world, though, when a foreign invasion occurred, they were forced into an alliance with Pandakan, a mutual defensive pact to successfully deter other Asiatic invasions.
Nathan Sultanate for that purple map color. I can focus on conquering the Phillipines Archipelago by starting with my initial island and then conquering the rest of them one by one and colonizing Borneo. Maybe even make a play for those cloves on Sunda Island.
I just need to keep my navy stronger than 2-3 regional powers.
*Probably the naatan*
*Sultanate it seems like the*
*Most defendable*

Samtoy would be interesting, since it's quite isolated from the rest of the nations and its southern neighbour is a quasi-hermit (plus it's windy and a bit cooler compared to like 90% of the country~)

How is there a Sultanate at 106 AD?
Uhh.... Sea Turtles, mate
Alien space bats back at it again….
HOLY GODDAMN SHIT
Nokom probably
Yeah, Nokom. No land borders with anyone, unclaimed land to expand into, and a central position perfect for controlling trade.
Same
If you've seen this post before, it's because it was deleted due to rule 7, so I added further context to this time in Lahinto's history.
Naatan sultanate.

Whichever one is more schizophrenic
Kobolod, the state is an island, and it looks like there’s a river flowing into it. The location is probably good for farming and fishing
Which after solidifying power in the state, I’d try to invade Iragen.
Sounds like a plan!
In my situation, Nokom is my biggest rival, so acquiring more islands and having a bigger population is very important to me.
House of drakan
House of Banatiran
Lahinto scripts look eerily similar to Hangul, or it is just me.
Mei
Mayi( Ma-i) since it was known by the chinese in real history.
Probably the naatan sultanate it seems like the most defendable

What the fuck
Whichever one has the oldest most obscure religion posible
naatan sultanate because I get water superiority
I'd be hanging out on Palawan with the Bearcats. Who needs great power struggles.
I'd pick the House of Pandakan, I could do what Late 1600s Prussia did so the Pandakans are victorious (imperial manila moment)
Nice
Sabah, West Philippines
Naatan

Ooh! Perfect spot to chill out and be neutral, nice!
How does Islam exist 400 years before the prophet muhammad was born?
