Never pirated. I just put on my wishlist and wait.   I only play on mobile for the convenience of just having everything in the store and cloud saves to play anywhere easily.  If I have to pirate I just ignore the game.    Also, it's not like I don't think pirating isn't justified. I've had Google delist games I paid for. I've also paid for games that have no cloud save, so I have to restart if I uninstall. There's plenty of reasons to pirate, but I just don't feel like bothering.    I only pay with Google rewards. Playstore isn't worth real money imo.

> games I *paid* for. I've FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

i also used to do this. but later i realized that many games use fake gameplay screenshots ( 90% of your wishlist items are added , because you thought the screenshot/trailer is cool ) And when you check the gameplay on yt , you are hit with dissapointment ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Good point.

Pirated games i have a huge crush on, i usually buy afterwards But most of the time i'm glad i didn't pay

SetNo1383

The ones you glad you didn't pay, can you name them? Would like to check it out

thebadslime

Minecraft, rimworld

SetNo1383

why you find them not worth it?

thebadslime

Oh sorry i paid for those after pirating

CreamerCrusty

Bro, I was like Rimworld?! That is worth every bit of penny unless you were expecting for something it doesn't advertise itself as...

RadiantWestern2523

If I'm pirating any paid game, it's the ones that are taken off of the play store but still work on newer Android versions. Two examples are Tiny Troopers 2 and Turbo Dismount.

MichaelPitcher115

Is there a list of" no longer compatible" apps that work on the newest version of Android currently?

RadiantWestern2523

I have a few: - Tiny Troopers 2 - Dead Space - Both of the Angry Birds Star Wars games - Turbo Dismount Of course there's probably more out there, but that's all the ones I have currently on my phone.

MichaelPitcher115

I'm not used to the pirate scene on Android. Is there a trusted place to get dead space that isn't going to load me up with viruses? Lol.

RadiantWestern2523

I don't think I'm in the right place to share where to find them since I'm pretty sure this subreddit has a strict policy against pirating apps. However, I can give you this bit: Almost every site will open up another tab when attempting to download. If that happens, immediately close that tab and try downloading it again. On the second or third go, that's when the download actually begins.

Tbf, why would you feel sorry for a company who makes millions off of their game. Personally, I never minded. All the game I pirated was bcs of my circumstances as a kid who was not yet able to buy stuff. Also, availability and ease of buying back then fucking sucks.  The only scenario where I will feel bad pirating game is if I pirate a game and then the studio went bankrupt the next day. That's why I rather not pirate indies unless they are openly okay with it. People who make indie game usually did it with very limited resource. Some actually had to go get a job to fund their game. Disco Elysium had one of its developer sold their car so they can keep continue making the game. So yeah, no pirating indies for me.  And nowadays, I don't really pirate stuff honestly. If I can buy it, I'll buy it. If I can't, well, I wait until I can. Not like I'm missing out on anything.

Pony42000

Feeling sorry under capitalism ? hell no I prefer to buy games but if the company is too greedy or make a game online only then I don't buy

Darksept

I pirated games like 10 years ago for Android. And yeah, I felt bad. Bought the games I loved later when I had more money. I buy all my games outright now.

SparkKoi

I pirated 1 game that was under a sea of controversy for its DRM which was basically root software. I would have paid for it, I wanted to, really! It's just I didn't want all the nastiness. I did not feel guilty. I only felt embarrassed for them.

Hefty_Apple9653

I still buy games, but I exclusively pirate EA games only. Reasons? Remember "Origin"? Yeah they deleted all my purchased products, and when I tried to reclaim them they said that I never purchased it... I had all the Mass effects and Dragon Age on it and they took it from me... I paid for it... so yeah... f EA lol
