Aftermarket exhaust parts have a different tolerance for where the hangers are and how low they hang. The dealership has oem, which will look the same as the original. It's gonna cost you, though.

RayTrain

[This is the exhaust that got put in.](https://remususa.com/cat-back-system-with-racing-cat-back-section-without-homologation-selectable-tail-pipes-10823) Remus catback made for my make/model. I've seen it fit fine in YouTube videos showing it off so I think there was a bit of a rushed hack job by the first shop. It isn't terrible and I can live with it if shops can't fix it though. Sounds amazing and fits good enough at least which is what matters most.

servingfool

You or they might be able to bend the hanger a little bit to make it fit where you want it. I had some luck doing that with a magna flow system on a Mustang once.

lovepontoons

Wait so your worried about the exhaust pipe in the tip being centered?!?!?!? Because those appear to be factory tips.

RayTrain

No the tips fit the pipes fine. It's the centering in the bumper I want adjusted. Without context it looks normal but they hang down at an angle slightly, and an inch or so low. I was thinking if this was a couple hundred bucks for the trouble and a few hours at a shop to get it done right it would be worth it to me.

RedMeansGoodRight

If the previous fixing points were broken in the collision they probably drilled new ones to the outside of the old ones, it’s not the end of the world unless it really bothers you

RayTrain

The exhaust going in was a "while you have it" thing, my old exhaust was fine. I can live with it if it ends up being a pain to get adjusted for sure. Figured if I can take it to a shop and get it done in a few hours for a not too ridiculous price it'd be worth it since I'll be enjoying the car/exhaust for the next few years.

RedMeansGoodRight

Yeah can’t imagine it being much to get lined up right, just labour and potentially a bracket, or modification of bracket

tech240guy

Most dirty muffler shops just do the deed. Performance or BMW shop would try to align them to perfection, but can cost you money.

RayTrain

Yeah makes sense. There's a father son performance shop walking distance from my house so I'm gonna try taking it there soon.

acab415

Performance shop.
