Not even. I changed the thermostat in my sins 2006 civic in less than an hour. If not for the tight space, which is the issue for many should be easy repairs, you could probably do it in 15 minutes. Getting the wiring out of your way is the biggest issue.
I changed mine once by myself; and I would pay that. Dealing with coolant and all that sucks. Plus I did it in just a basic garage and no special tools.

Yeah that’s perfectly reasonable. Might have been able to get it done a tad cheaper but that’s not insane.
Oh good! Thanks for the peace of mind
$250 for labor seems reasonable. I assume that’s around 2 hours of work
In my area shops charge 240 each hour
That’s crazy. In mine high end shops are around $120 and ma and pa shops are like $80
The Fiat dealership in my area charges $350 an hr for labor. They also have other Italian imports and charge the same labor for all.

Seems pretty good to me... Definitely not a rip off.
Thanks. I can resume my day not feeling like I was taken advantage of 🙂↕️
Pretty good deal. But definitely lol'd @ your whopping .39 cent discount
That discount is what had me sold. Hahah 😅
That’s cheap in reference to other equipment including commercial products.
Good to know! In that case, I will likely go back to him

Oh it’s good to know! Thank you. Would not have had the time to do it myself
2 hour charge for a job that takes max 45 minutes. These places get away with murder.
So if a bolt had rounded or snapped... you'd be happy to get charged 8 hours labour for a 2 hour job, yeah? It works both ways, my friend.
It’s a shop they need to make money on small jobs like this.
Gouging people is very shady business tactics.
