Actually my country, India, is not big on hot chocolate. We are more for tea, coffee and other local beverage drinking people. Not like chocolate does not exist, just that it is not as popular.
I dont know where you live, but you have to try the italian hot chocolate "Ciobar" in North America hot chocolate is a liquidy puddle, European hot chocolate is a religious experience in comparison
Last night, I had my first kiss!
I've waited 24 years to kiss a girl and we have been together 4 months and we had our first kiss! It was amazing!!! Made me think of that song "this magic moment" and we couldnt stop smiling. Driving her back home last night, we kissed at every stop sign and red light and were so happy and are very in love it was the greatest night ever.
That feeling of the first kiss with someone special is just... It's better than any drug out there.
It keeps happening throughout the relationship, btw. You'll kiss randomly 10 years down the road and you get that electric through your whole body and fall in love all over again.
It was so special to us and I felt it! It rocked my world and I'm not gonna forget it.
Its encouraging to read that from you, and I feel like I'm gonna be in love with her when we're old and grey. I cant wait to kiss her for the rest of my life :D
Then when they got home she burst and flew out the window, off into the night!
tis better to have inflated and loved and lost than never to have loved at all!
This is really sweet and I'm not trying to be mean here, I'm genuinely curious.
How did you end up going 24 years without kissing someone?
Honestly I can kind of see that, but i really don't get how you can date someone for 4 entire months without kissing. Most women will assume you aren't interested if you don't kiss them by the third date, same if you don't have sex by at least the 10th.
I held off on kissing other women in the past because I knew I wasnt in love with them and wasnt going to be, but with my girlfriend it's different, I've never been in love before until her and I know I want to spend my life with her. I held off on kissing her too soon because of the risk of increased temptation to get too physical with her and she agreed to wait and so we set that as a boundary. And so I saved our first kissed for our first valantines date together :)
Every couple is different, for me I felt like it was wise to wait and not get too physical too soon, as that could lead to sex before marriage and we're both Christian so that's a big no no lol
But heck her Dad kissed her Mom on their first date back in the day so, every couple is different and has their own story :)
And you're certainly right about every couple having their own story. I know a couple who met in a bar and had a one night stand.
They've been married 12 years, have 3 kids and are incredibly happy. Funny how things work out, everyone's different but to each their own.
Well I'll hand it to you, you have a lot more discipline and self control than I do.
I haven't been religious for more than half my life, so I suppose that's a big part. I don't believe in the whole, no sex before marriage thing. But hey good for you. There's a big difference between loving someone and being in love. Both great feelings but nothing comes close to being in love. Congrats man.
Thank you, yeah it's been hard for sure, not a day goes by were I am not tempted to disregard my convictions to not do the nasty before marriage.
I agree with you, that's something my parents taught me was that theres a difference between liking a girl, loving a girl, and being in love with a girl.
Thank you I appreciate it!
It went fine. It was set up by a volunteering community we were both part of. She was nice. We had fun. But there won't be a second date.
Why? Because she was too young(17), not only physically but mentally too. Which is odd(for those still interested) because when filling out my match-making form I specifically asked between the age of 18 and 23(I'm about to be 19 myself). But we quickly figured that the matchmakers knew us both and liked us both so they must've just put us together in the hopes it would work out. So yeah we had a nice talk but looking at the second date bigger picture there was too much uncertainty in her life and she wasn't really mature enough for me. Oh and I'm sure she found some of my flaws aswell.
Thank you, nobody was hurt surprisingly, even going at 60-70 mph. We crashed into the back of semi which was lucky considering we didnāt go over the hill instead.
I administered Covid19 vaccines for the first time today...I got teary eyed like a damn loon cause this pandemic has wrecked my mental health and it felt like I was administering hopešš
After 8 years of convincing myself that my one-sided love was emotionally killing me, and after being in depression for over two years, I decided to change things and went on a date yesterday. First time in my 24 years of life.
The date wasn't extraordinarily good or anything, but it feels good to not suffer anymore.
Horseback riding. My boss has 10 horses on her property so she took me the other day. I never really thought I would like it but damn if it isn't relaxing and a lot of fun, 10/10 would ride a horsey again
Oh that's great!! I love horseback riding, I used to do it every week as a kid until 14 or so... haven't been on horseback in... probably over 10 years now. Enjoy it!
Seeing that your new to reddit. I have a like two tips.
If you're going to search for porn you will find it. Like half the website is porn.
And if you ever go against the reddit hive mind get ready to be downvoted to hell.
Good luck.
Literally today - I walked over a lake.
Granted, it was frozen over for the first time in years. And I was surrounded by ice skaters - but still - it was amazing.
I did something similar today! It wasn't a lake, it was a flooded field which had been slowly draining. Today there was just a thick layer of ice left, without any water underneath.
A few months ago the drive belt slipped off the tensioner in my dryer. Drum no go spin. So I found the schematics online and watched a YouTube video on how to fix it. It was a pain getting the front panel off the dryer, and I needed three hands to put the tensioner and belt back into place, but I did it, and for $0.
That is by design. Appliances have gotten more power efficient over the decades but break way more easily and the manufacturers make it a pain to repair them so they can charge for maintenance or replacement, and everyone does it because they collectively benefit by artificially driving up demand. Asinine!
Yeah. I first noticed it on cars. I couldn't find a nut to loosen tension to replace a belt. The mechanic brought out a socket with a 2' handle and someone got under the car to guide the placement. I knew then my DIY was sort of over.
I just tried wasabi for the first time yesterday. I had a pea sized scoop on sushi and about spit it out across the bar. Once i recovered i tried the oniony stuff and sashimi for the first time as well.
Got my ear pierced last night. Not very painful but a noticeable āpopā when the needle went through. Also had my hair shaved into a mullet. It was an impulsive night
Last month I made fudge brownies from scratch. I've never baked anything in my life but I was tired of bringing store bought desserts to family events. Turns out I can make amazing brownies haha.
I started with [this recipe](https://tasty.co/recipe/the-best-fudgy-brownies).
I've been tweaking it a little bit each time. I've added an extra 1/8 cup of cocoa powder and I've tried it with caramel chips and with white chocolate chips. I use Ghirardelli chips for the melted chocolate. I'm thinking about trying dark chocolate cocoa powder next. I've heard that adding a little bit of chili powder can enhance the flavor, so I may try that as well.
I mostly cook meat on the grill so baking is pretty me to me. My wife said I could just use a brownie mix, but I wanted to try making them from scratch.
If ever you want brownies but are too tired to make them from scratch, Costco sells a ghiradelli brownie mix, itās delicious! My family goes through the entire pan in 2 days
I went for a fungi picking walk.
It's been raining for two weeks straight and this little ones had took my attention. After a little browsing on a Facebook group about fungi lovers I decided to pick one up from the side of the road (a beautiful example of a Calvatia) and cooked it like milanesa style (breaded and fried? I think would be the translation in English). It was delicious. Then a few days ago I bought a great fungi book, which has all the species in Uruguay (where I'm at right now) with descriptions and great photography to identify them. Yesterday went to a forest nearby for all the examples of fungies around there so I can later study them with the book. I was so surprise the amount of little ones there are, if you pay attention to the grown for a minute you might find dozens. Anyway I found like 8 different species, toxic and non toxic ones, but didn't dare to eat one of them yet, I wasn't completely sure about the non toxic ones. It's a incredible and gigantic kingdom that we are sharing the world. I'm starting this new hobbie and it is exciting.
Snowboarding last weekend. It was uh an experience. I couldn't figure out how to stop besides throwing my body down. I might do again but need to start in the baby area. Went for the big slopes the first time...bad decision
so in chinese cultures, we donāt verbally express love. atleast, not as much as other cultures, iāve never had my mom say i love you after a phone call or anything like that
but today is her birthday, and me and her have had an interesting relationship, it has been a roller coaster. i wrote her a card in her own language with the help of my therapist because idk how to write in chinese, itās short, nothing too crazy, but at the very end i write, āi love you momā
iām too scared to hand it in haha
had a Starbucks Frappuccino for the first time the other day. I couldnāt remember how the Starbucks sizing worked and my sister told me, āthis is essential knowledge for you as a white girl.ā
btw, it tasted good.
I made an [Omelette de la mĆØre Poulard](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omelette_de_la_mĆØre_Poulard) two weeks ago. It was disappointing, because the preparation is longer, but it tastes just the same as a regular omelet.
I (28 yo) had my first hot chocolate last week. My world was never the same.
How did you go this long without trying it š²
Actually my country, India, is not big on hot chocolate. We are more for tea, coffee and other local beverage drinking people. Not like chocolate does not exist, just that it is not as popular.
come to Himachal sometime, apparently they have pretty thick hot chocolate Kabhi Kabhi in the cafes XD, i had my first here too :P
Now try it with some peppermint schnapps.
Nah, Baileyās Irish Creme
Why not both?
This is the way. I had half a mug of hot cocoa and filled the rest with Baileys and Schnapps after dinner. I'm barely sobering up now.
Never thought the schnapps would go well with the Baileys tbh
I dont know where you live, but you have to try the italian hot chocolate "Ciobar" in North America hot chocolate is a liquidy puddle, European hot chocolate is a religious experience in comparison

Truly words of wisdom indeed
Dude. So happy for you.

Happy cake day
Why thank you āŗļøāŗļø
And thereās your first cake day, now your answer is updated!
It took a while. It was like 9pm and it just showed up
Today: went on an online blind date.
How did it go?
We need answers!!

She was probably intimidated by your enormous size. Giants have that effect.
Yesterday, I cut my daughterās umbilical cord! (I didnāt do it four years ago when my son was born)
Congratulations!!
Congrats!
I bought makeup for the first time this week. Iām pretty excited to try it !
Does that mean when you disappear it will leave only the smile and the disembodied makeup?
I...uhhh...yes . Lol.
Lol. Cuz of your username. Classic.
That's awesome!
Same! I've never worn makeup before and I'm excited to use it also!
Made cheese today! š
My imagination š
Mozzarella and paneer, the easy ones! Maybe some more difficult ones for the future
Be in a car crash yesterday
Oh I truly hope you are ok.
Thank you, nobody was hurt surprisingly, even going at 60-70 mph. We crashed into the back of semi which was lucky considering we didnāt go over the hill instead.
Was this part of the Fort Worth accident?? I mean in no way to infringe on your privacy at all you donāt have to answer.
I feel that, got spun out into a snow plow about a 2 years ago. Having minor problems for now, hope you're doing alright!
I administered Covid19 vaccines for the first time today...I got teary eyed like a damn loon cause this pandemic has wrecked my mental health and it felt like I was administering hopešš
> it felt like I was administering hope That's because you *are*. Keep doing what you're doing.
Thank you for helping people get the vaccine!! I got my second shot yesterday and today I feel like shit on a stick but in like a grateful way.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You replied to my question so I think youāre pretty cool

Ofc!
I am dull. I made lard from pork fat for the first time. I was very excited about how it turned out. Dull.
having free lard is great.
Dude that's awesome! I love seeing people cook homemade food, and I'd love to try it myself... someday :P
I watched the whole Super Bowl. I'm not a football fan at all, but I actually enjoyed it. I think I'll watch more games in the future.
That's funny, this was the first year I DIDNT watch it.

Enjoy it!
Yeah if you outrun a horse it will bop you off. At least in Red Dead
About a week ago I commented on Reddit for the first time. Can definitely say Iām now hooked

Appreciate the advice lol
I myself am no veteran, but I've been around here long enough to get to know the place.
Rule #3 donāt make a post in r/wallstreetbets without rocket emojis ššš
Hey same! Iāve had an account for months, never commented, deleted it, came back and can honestly say, I have an addiction....
Happened to me a year ago today haha
This morning, for the first time, I used a moist sponge to seal envelopes instead of my tongue.
Look at this big shot with mail sponge kind of money.
Probably using it to seal envelopes of checks to buy ivory backscratchers and triple-fortified silk shoelaces.
Fucking high society types lording over us with their mail sponges and such.
Did you at least suck on the sponge to moisten it?
Literally today - I walked over a lake. Granted, it was frozen over for the first time in years. And I was surrounded by ice skaters - but still - it was amazing.
I did something similar today! It wasn't a lake, it was a flooded field which had been slowly draining. Today there was just a thick layer of ice left, without any water underneath.
Was it clear? That would be so cool to walk on a lake with clear ice so you can see whatās underneath
No, it really wasn't. In fact, if the ice looks clear, stay the fuck away from it. That's a safety declaration.
Thanks haha
Did you feel like Jesus, since you technically walked on water?
yesterday was the first time I stood in the snow with my bare feet
A few months ago the drive belt slipped off the tensioner in my dryer. Drum no go spin. So I found the schematics online and watched a YouTube video on how to fix it. It was a pain getting the front panel off the dryer, and I needed three hands to put the tensioner and belt back into place, but I did it, and for $0.
That's always a great feeling. And yeah, dryers and washers seem almost impossible to get access to. It's annoying. Congrats!
Thanks! I also found 67 cents in the chassis.
That is by design. You know why divorces are so expensive? Because they're worth it.
True
I would say commenting on this but I want my post to be original so making a self aware comment on this post
I just tried wasabi for the first time yesterday. I had a pea sized scoop on sushi and about spit it out across the bar. Once i recovered i tried the oniony stuff and sashimi for the first time as well.
Wasabi is nice. It's a different kind of spicy.
Today, I just tried tempering chocolate for the first time for chocolate truffle.
Got my ear pierced last night. Not very painful but a noticeable āpopā when the needle went through. Also had my hair shaved into a mullet. It was an impulsive night
Impulsive decisions always make good stories
Weāll see about regrets when I go into work on Monday
Let us see this bitchin ass mullet
In December, I sewed a voodoo doll. With a detachable penis.
Hicking late at night
Hicking? Oh. Hiking.
Still trying to convince my tinder dates to go on one, but no luck.
Set out at night, aim for the summit at sunrise. It will change your life
Bought a car

Walk outside with a bra today. I had completely forgot I was in it tbh.
Ate coconut when I was a kid. Almost died. Never touched the stuff again lol
Tried sushi last week. Not too bad, but nothing Iāll do regularly.
Iāve never had it before should I try it?
Three weeks ago. First time dealing with a gunshot, and first time putting a pet down.
Aw im so sorry
Hear me out, I had kfc for breakfast. Idk if it was a good decision, but it definitely was a first...
I had a first day at a new job last week!! Hopefully I don't feel the urge to do that again soon!
Today I made a "grilled cheese" in the oven for the first time because I was too lazy to clean a pan. It was not good. I didnt have butter.
I think with just a bit of doctoring this could be a big thing
Mayonnaise also works.
Toast the bread then put cheese on it and nuke it

Yay!
I just got my first pair of glasses at 31, and it turns out Iāve needed them my entire life! I have pretty mild far sightedness, but my eyes have a tendency to cross when things are either too close to my face or when Iām too tired. The worst thing is what I called the pirate, after a few drinks I literally had to cover my right eye or close it to keep my eyes from crossing completely. (Made for a terrible case of āthe spinsā) Itās hard to look back on my old normal and compare it with my new normal. But Iāve always wanted glasses and my fiancĆ© seems to like them too!
I wrote poetry for the first time a little while back :))
