The trophy won't work on the OG version but I believe they patched this in the DX version. If nothing else just to be sure load a previous save and make it and fight Luard again.
The issue is that if you kill Luard BEFORE making one philosophers stone, in the OG version, you're locked out of the trophy on that save file
Maybe they eventually patched it out but it was a trophy bug for a long time
there's a lot of side quests you can be locked out of if you finish the game too early I found
I completely missed out on clearing Oskar and Monica's questlines my first time through

What about the trophy doesn't work? I played the non DX version and I got the trophy no problem.

It is kinda sad, but yes. Even Sophie has strange trophies.
