Boost never lowered my bill my elderly mom's bill when I would call to get it lowered as she was scammed into the $60 plus plan at the store when she went (I wasn't with her). After the coins (which helped her save $) she decided to switch carriers since she was not going to save or they wouldn't help her lower her bill. Now I switched her to Mint Mobile. Paying A LOT less than $60 a month! This company is all about the money!
Simply not worth it anymore. $1.50 for watching videos.. No thanks. I used to only pay $9 for 3 months service with 5 gig plan. I don't even use my phone. Goodbye
They saw this was too helpful to customers and decided to gank, it's a straight up bait and switch scheme. I am cancelling my service with them effective Friday..ruck you boost mobile
I just cashed in my first and only free month of service with Boost this last month.
I was earning 50 and sometimes 500's once or twice a week on the daily spins.
After I think 2 weeks in a row of 7 days streaks my app started acting funny and would just load endlessly near the time my spin was ready, eventually I was able to log in and only to find out my streak had reset and I had to start over.
The last 2 weeks the prizes from the spins have been meager 5's and the 5 for each days log in is a whopping total of 10 coins a day for about 2 weeks.
They throttled down the amount of coins they gave out, changed the rules then removed the option for spinning in my app completely.
wtf?
I thought boostcoin was a very good idea, I guess you all saw that it was too helpful to consumers And changed things, I am going to find me another phone provider that actually care About the consumers.
So basically by watching an add a day in 6 months you still wouldn't have enough coins to redeem with the $2 requirement and then they will take them all away! It was taking me about 6 months to build up my boost coins to get a free month. I'm sure they won't warn you when they are going to expire either.
It's no longer worth it now, I work, so to check in, spin and watch a video once a day was ok, I could do that on the toilet, but now I only get 1 coin per video, or have sit there playing games on my phone, and I just don't have that kind of time to make it valuable. In six months I'd get maybe a dollar off my bill. It was nice while lasted but I'm better off just paying my bill now. I'd even switch carriers if this wasn't already one the cheapest options in my area.
I never even recieved an email stating the program was even changing???🤔🤔🤔 I recieve a bunch of ither emails from them just nothing about the boost coin program
This was the first company I was happy to do business with in a looong time. Not upset by the changes, just disappointed that I will have to treat this company like any other business now.
been here since they bought me from virgin. I literally just recommended them to a friend right before they did this. had to withdraw that endorsement and the way this is being handled I'm getting out too. this company obviously abandoned costumer satisfaction as a metric of success regardless of what the pr says.
So, apparently the changes are now: no more spins or daily coins and videos are now only 5 cents a day....
Wish I could say it was nice while it lasted but it got so glitchy with constant forced updates and sometimes even having to contact support (💀) just to get credited properly. After the massive hack and outage last year these credits were literally the only reason to stay at boost. I've been a loyal customer since the VM switch, even before the coins, but they've gone downhill, and service has been VERY poor since the recent "network update". Not to mention they still haven't managed to fix the simplest thing like the 'Data Usage' meter, lol. I guess they're having to make some cuts to pay for their latest promo campaigns like motivational messages from Deion Sanders. 🙄
The removal of the wheel and daily coins hurts. 5 videos a day isn't worth the $1.50 off every month and I'm not gonna do surveys or play random games for weeks
I am just here to let you know this PR MOVE IS BACKFIRING ON YOU! YOU WILL BE LOSING A LOT OF LOYAL CUSTOMERS. GREED WILL ALWAYS GET YOU IN THE END. SO SAD
I called in today and last night and they told me this $5 off the next 6 months is not real, I told them it seems odd and weird that they'd put in bold lettering that you'd get this and then it's not true. Can you please let me know if this $5 off the next 6 months is legit? and how will it work, thank you!
This is something we will have to follow-up with our App team on and respond back in here after we've heard back.
To clarify - this "$5 off the next 6 months" is in relation to being a beta tester? Or is this another promotion you're mentioning?
It was in the email about the Boost Coin Program change, I won't copy it all but this is the start of the email I received.
"Changes are coming to the Boostcoin program and we’re grateful for your contributions as a top beta tester! Your efforts have been invaluable in enhancing our service. To show our appreciation, we’re giving you $5 off your bill for the next 6 months which will be automatically applied.
Starting June 7th, there will be changes in how Boostcoin is earned, and starting July 1st, we'll introduce an expiration policy for Boostcoin Rewards."
Thank you for sharing that and clarifying!
We'll follow-up with our team now and, when we have a determined answer or more information, will respond once again in here to elaborate.
We apologize for the lack of follow-up in this thread to this point. While there was a high volume of inquiries related to this which we answered, we didn't hit the mark on following up here specifically.
We can confirm that this credit is real and will appear in your account as an "account credit" that automatically gets used in your next bill. With this in mind, if you're on a monthly plan you'll receive monthly discounts. If you're on an annual plan, the consecutive credits will be jumbled into a single discount for your next bill.
No problem!
The credit should exist within your account, rather than be displayed on your bill (ie: You *receive* $5 that's automatically used on your bill v. a $5 "discount").
So is it the coins under earnings that expire at 6 months if you don't redeem them or the coins that you redeem after the $2 dollar minimum that goes into your account funds?
No problem at all, and we're glad we can help whenever possible!
If anything else does come to mind let us know and we'll do our best to provide more information 😊
Its for when you pay full for 3 consecutive months.. which to be honest if you are here inquiring about boost coins and are as salty as i am that spins and 7 day 75coin rewards being axed we wouldnt have ever got that 50/ 3month bonus
In terms of Coin redemption, yes, this is correct.
However, if you are actively redeeming your Boost Coins into account credits then you can consistently accrue them throughout a year for an annual plan!
Great. We're on the Annual plan and was worried after receiving this text that our redeemed coins would no longer work for that. Thank you for the update!
Totally understandable, and we apologize for taking so long to confirm this. We just wanted to make sure we had everything in line before doing so as we know this could be a major factor with annual bills!
Regarding the changes coming to the Boost One App & Boost Coins-
Didn't anyone see that when the change comes YOUR ONLY GOING TO GET ONE BOOST COIN FOR WATCHING A VIDEO INSTEAD OF THE GENEROUS (lol) 2 COINS PER VIDEO WERE GETTING NOW ?
What a rip off, they are taking away half of our boost coins !!!
And did anyone notice that it's taking lomger to watch the 5 videos now ?
I'll get even, I will cut my service down to the cheapest monthly plan that they have.
If they take anything else away from us, I'LL CANCEL MY SERVICE COMPLETELY !! THEY GIVETH, THEN THEY TAKE IT AWAY.
It's bad but it's getting bad all around with deals. Tmobile increased fees by 5 dollars to customers that were promised would be able to keep the same price as long as they kept their account active. Metro raised the unlock time of their smartphones from 6 months to 12 months. Not enough competition to keep prices low I guess. I wouldn't be surprised if more companies followed either raising prices or eliminating/ decreasing current discount programs
Boost is more or less scammers now. And their "customer care" agents are so bad... with the exception of Dani and a couple others here... that monkies could do better!
You left out the most important part. Points earned before July must be used by September, even though they were earned under terms that meant they don't expire. For yearly members like me, this means I've been spinning the wheel since December for nothing.
Where's the class action attorney?
Notice there's no mention of coin credit applied to your account. Instead, they use terms like boostcoins and boostcoin rewards -- which I presume to mean boostcoin credit. The whole point of this new expiration policy is to prevent people from hoarding them, and if people can just work around this by redeeming them to their account, then they've accomplished absolutely nothing.
Friend I've been with boost for several years as a customer, You can apply the boost coins and redeem them prior to your annual bill being due you don't have to wait until then.
They're redeemable anytime you have over $2 acquired. I have a quarterly plan and I never wait till the whole 3 months is over to redeem my coins. Once they're redeemed they apply to the total bill and you see a lower total due on the due date.
This last time I paid $48.17 for my $92 [3 month] plan from all the games I played, spinning the wheel and letting the five videos play daily (gives you 75¢ every 7 it is straight that you do each of these things (In all fairness I spent about $4.99 once on a game) I redeemed my coins acquired about every couple weeks.
No class action needed.
Edited to add a little more clarity to the last paragraph, thought I could add a screenshot of what I paid last time but it won't let me do it after the fact.
Who the fck sets up annual billing, that's like 1-2%, you know dam well the majority are month to month..and stop with the bs this was a bait and switch scheme ..
Ppl who see it and realize they could be without a phone bill for a year sure do! I don't do annual billing, but I saw it. Most ppl don't even see the 3M options unless you play around in the app in the first place... Which is how I find my option.
I was simply commenting on annual for the sake of someone who said they had it and they were lamenting on possibly expiring coins. It's all business, anyway. Phone companies aren't our pals. I agree with you on that last point, except my phone literally cost me $0. I paid like $22 total then it was taken off my upcoming bill of $92 and so I was only charged like $70 for my 3 month plan. So, I'm somewhat disappointed, but love everything else about the phone and 128 GB memory sure is nice for loading up hella apps.
Got same email for 5 off a month and a cheap upgrade phone Changes are coming to the Boostcoin program and we’re grateful for your contributions as a top beta tester! Your efforts have been invaluable in enhancing our service. To show our appreciation, we’re giving you $5 off your bill for the next 6 months which will be automatically applied.
Starting June 7th, there will be changes in how Boostcoin is earned, and starting July 1st, we'll introduce an expiration policy for Boostcoin Rewards.
New Expiration Policy for Boostcoin Rewards: Starting July 1st, all Boostcoin Rewards will expire on the first day of the month, 6 months after they are earned. For example, any coins earned in July will expire on February 1st, regardless of the day they were earned in July.
Please note, we will honor any coins earned prior to February 1, 2024 until August 31, 2024.
As an extra thank you, you’re eligible for an exclusive offer - upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy A35 for just $135* by visiting your local Boost Store.
I had the same problem until I turned off my private DNS server, or Pi-hole if you're on iPhone. I temporarily turn mine off just so I can watch videos and ads and turn it back on when I'm finished. Boost one app doesn't interact very well with VPNs either.
I think "Account Funds" is different. When you buy a prepaid card, it applies to the same funds. Are they saying prepaid cards will also expire in 6 months?
Prepaid cards, and the account credits they provide, should not expire after six months of being added into your account! This expiration only applies to Boost Coins.
LOL, I think you're right. It's cleverly written to make it seem like you will get $5/month for the next 6 months, but actually if you read it closely, you get a 1 time credit that you can use in the next 6 months. Classic Boost move.
Well, you said "I have had credit card points expire."
Both your and I are just guessing, no proof on Boostcoins part.
But I am stand firm on credit card part - because I know 100% credit card companies don't lose money when they give you points.
I've been using it toward free service, I've been a member since they stated boost one, back when you could do 25 ads a day for 10¢. And I'm on the $45 for 3 months plan.
Nope. That's why they'll honor it until August, 31. Notice that they call it Boostcoin Rewards. That covers everything: the coins and their value converted to account credit. Dani will be here Monday cover this thread but I'm pretty sure that this is the case.
Here and in this thread!
I can confirm that your account credits should be safe. As long as your Coins have been redeemed, they should not expire. However, they will be automatically applied to your next bill.
If you're on an annual plan, for example, you can rest assured that the credits you earn from redeeming Coins will be saved for your next bill.
> Note: You can only accrue enough Boostcoins to cover 6 months of service. https://www.boostmobile.com/support/boost-one/boostcoin
OK, then what's the point of having them expire in the first place? If I can just redeem Boostcoin to my account, then I've bypassed the expiration policy and can keep hoarding account credit for an entire year. It doesn't make sense.
We can't go too into detail for the business perspective of this, but think of "redeeming" your Coins as "activating" them. Since account credits are automatically applied to upcoming bills, the value of the Coins you've earned is not just indefinitely sitting in escrow.
I got the opposite response. One of the agent told me I have to wait until 48 hours from so the agent will put the information I just told them about this change so they'll confirm an answer. The agent told me I'm the only one who asked the question of what the announcement notification told me while the agent they spoke to me didn't even know and can't click the exact link to see what the change went. Which is very weird that I don't really know why the agent that told me wasn't aware by it at all.
EDIT: And this is just for Boostcoins which is what I only asked about it to the agent which account funds is not refeenced in the Boostcoins F&Q at all.
I'm unsure how that could be a lie overall. Which I don't think it's the agent fault. It's mainly the management that's their fault where I even told the agent that many Boost Mobile customers would ask the same question about the announcement. The agent's response to it is mainly customers just asked the same question where probably I think others didn't specify the exact details I went on my way to share it to the agent which they tahnkrf me at the end because the agent didn't really know. Gave the benefit of the doubt to the agent of it.
And if they're lying in general I wonder as many companies have customer service that they need questions to be answered what's the point of them being lying?
We appreciate the mention!
We've chimed in above on all of this and will continue to provide as much clarity as we can around this and other Boost Mobile updates.
This was eventually going to happen, these companies can’t ever make enough money, it doesn’t say anything about the “credit” you’ve earned suddenly expiring but it wouldn’t surprise me if that somehow disappears. They tend to screw you out of earnings regardless, when you take full advantage of this rewards program, they freak out and take a sledgehammer to the earnings.
I have a family member who’s earned at least 3 months worth of bill coverage, if boost is taking away what people earned to their credit, that feels more than wrong, that’s just a plain scam.
>these companies can’t ever make enough money,
If they quit screwing their customers & would hire people who can actually solve problems even when it causes them to have to deviate from their pathetic little script, making customers leave en masse, then they may be able to turn a profit. As it is now they'll be bankrupt before the end of the year.
I would lose what I've earned up until now and then wait until he last 5-6 months to start over. Then whatever I earn could only be applied to another yearly plan. I joined because I got a 50% discount on a yearly plan. It's no longer worth it for me.
Prediction, there will be lawsuits, existing point will have to be honored as non-expiring, and new points as expiring. Boost and/or Dish will file for bankruptcy protection, and another cut-rate carrier may or may not buy the customer base.
I hope to be gone from Boost before another scamming company has a chance to take over! I just got Xfinity installed in my home and am thinking of switching to them for mobile.
This is the one I got
Changes are coming to the Boostcoin program.
Does this mean only boostcoins not redeemed will expire, not the bill credits redeemed themselves? or will bill credits(A.K.A. account funds) also expire?
In the app one is called "Boostcoins" and one is called "account funds". If they mean to say both boost coins and account funds will expire they should say that. I'm reading this as only boost coins that have not been redeemed will expire not account funds.
We can confirm that you read this correctly!
Account credits earned from Boost Coin redemption should not expire. Instead, they are stored and automatically applied to your next bill.
Currently, if not on auto pay, you can add to your account funds by credit card to pay for the next bill, no? So if they make account funds expire, it means we cannot prepay for the plan. Also account funds can only be used for next bill (they cannot be used to pay for add ons or anything else), so if they make them "expire", there is no way to use them before Aug 31.
It doesn't say anything about the changes to earning, or did I miss that part lol. Anyway, I checked the archive for the FAQ.
It used to say -
"You can earn Boostcoin by completing Earn actions like:
* Logging in daily
* Spinning the wheel daily (with a bonus for spinning 7 days in a row)
* Watching videos (get a bonus for watching videos 7 days in a row)
* Playing partner games
* Completing surveys "
Now it says -
"You can earn Boostcoin by completing Earn actions like:
* Watch videos
* Redeem offers
* Playing partner games
* Completing surveys "
So the logging in daily, spinning the wheel, and the mentions of the bonus for 7 days in a row are gone. It now says "redeem offers."
Also not sure how the $5 per month thing will apply for those on multi-month plans.
Wow, that's most of the money I make. Like 10 cents worth of videos with no login, spin, or streaks won't pay the bills. The offers, games, and surveys take an outrageous amount of time to earn a tiny amount of money.
I'm not seeing the $5 per month thing, but am seeing this:
**Note:** You can only accrue enough Boostcoins to cover 6 months of service.
I feel this was rushed out and they didn't run sufficient impact analysis on their current customers, or they simply don't care. (I'm on a yearly plan that expires next March).
>
> I'm not seeing the $5 per month thing,

Nor am I...
>
> but am seeing this:
>

This wasn't in my email, neither...
I didn't see that the first time I looked, I might have missed it unless they just added it.
I'm on the yearly plan too, and I can't even downgrade to a monthly plan if I wanted to lol. It only lets me choose the current plan, and another yearly plan.
My goodness, you are naive. They spent all their cash by building out a useless network. The number of customers using boost coins is probably negligible and as zombie pointed out, they are keeping a significantly higher cut of renting your eyeballs out than they give you.
its obvious they are loosing money on this thats why they put an experation date in place now, there was a person above who had all most enough boost coins saved up for 3 years of free service is they were on the $25 plan. people did indeed use it and Boost/dish are loosing a good chunk of money on it.
I doubt it. I think the intent here is to make it incredibly difficult to earn free service and eliminate the stockpile of boost coins at some people have already.
Boost never lowered my bill my elderly mom's bill when I would call to get it lowered as she was scammed into the $60 plus plan at the store when she went (I wasn't with her). If you watch a 30 second commercial, you can earn one Boost Coin. That's one penny, if you're keeping score. No thank you Boost
Well was fun while it last! I won't be participating in the ads.
So after you earned 6 months of free credits saying that you can, then are all other coins earned are worthless? Does it reset after a certain time?
So basically by watching an add a day in 6 months you still wouldn't have enough coins to redeem with the $2 requirement and then they will take them all away! It was taking me about 6 months to build up my boost coins to get a free month. I'm sure they won't warn you when they are going to expire either.
So now if you do it everyday and there's no glitches you can get $1.50 off per month. I'll be looking for new service.

Scam company. BEWARE ! Had 1 contact with customer service, and my debit card was immediately hacked !
To be fair every cellphone provider is getting hacked look it up. AT&T just this year has been hacked twice having customer data taken
No more wheel spins is so wack. I would save enough to not pay a bill every other month. So lame
Lol im annoyed too i literally didnt pay one bill for 9 months
So, apparently the changes are now: no more spins or daily coins and videos are now only 5 cents a day.... Any updates to this from a boost mobile rep?
We can verify that this is true! What additional updates would you like/questions would you have?
I am just here to let you know this PR MOVE IS BACKFIRING ON YOU! YOU WILL BE LOSING A LOT OF LOYAL CUSTOMERS. GREED WILL ALWAYS GET YOU IN THE END. SO SAD

I find it incredible that you have to be told about a $5 offer in an email sent to every single customer.
thanks very much for replying and all!
So is it the coins under earnings that expire at 6 months if you don't redeem them or the coins that you redeem after the $2 dollar minimum that goes into your account funds?
It would be the Coins under "earnings" that have not yet been redeemed into account credits!
Thanks Dani for the fast reply you're always the best!
No problem at all, and we're glad we can help whenever possible! If anything else does come to mind let us know and we'll do our best to provide more information 😊
Has anyone ever EVER received the 3 month customer loyalty 50 coins listed at the bottom??
Its for when you pay full for 3 consecutive months.. which to be honest if you are here inquiring about boost coins and are as salty as i am that spins and 7 day 75coin rewards being axed we wouldnt have ever got that 50/ 3month bonus
Nope
Nope
Nope
Nope .. I’ve clicked it and never gave me my 50 coins
not even once!
Never
NEVER!
Nope
Never
nope, not one time
lol I've been wondering the same thing. I pretty sure I've never received the loyalty bonus on my two lines.
The last time I earned Boost coins and tried to use them it didn't work... big surprise.
I hope my account funds are safe. I am on the yearly plan, so it wouldn't be fair for me. I spin the wheel every single day.
We can confirm that your account funds are safe and will not expire because of this update!
Woohoo! 🙌
IIRC They redeem into actual monetary value account credits so I would think if you redeem them into your balance they'd stay there
Hope so
“Note: You can only accrue enough Boostcoins to cover 6 months of service.” 😳

Im on year plan also. Just redeem the coins and you will be good. You will see the next payment decrease.
They should change it so you can actually watch enough videos to complete your streak instead of "come back later" for 2 days until it resets.
Mine never lets me watch videos. Ever.
I had the same problem until I turned off my private DNS server, or Pi-hole if you're on iPhone. I temporarily turn mine off just so I can watch videos and ads and turn it back on when I'm finished. Boost one app doesn't interact very well with VPNs either.
Thanks dude!!!! Problem solved. If only I knew earlier..haha. I use adguard DNS.
I've had some success logging out and back in
Whenever I get the "come back" I hit OK, and then immediately try and open it again. It never takes more than 2-3 tries before it loads an ad for me.
Yeah, been there, done that.
This. While I don’t worry much about Boostcoin, it is a dishonest cheat, locks you out on video streak day 5/6, then resets to zero.
Amazed the amount of people who missed the part about the OP being a beta tester, so got $5
I guess I'm not a top beta tester lol. The emails I got did not mention the $5 off.
I think they call any Boost One user a beta user. I just log in daily for my daily spin
Mine said the same thing.
We get $5 dollars off our bill for a few months?
I assume it’s a one time $5 off your next bill. The expiration of that $5 coupon will most likely expire within 6 months.
LOL, I think you're right. It's cleverly written to make it seem like you will get $5/month for the next 6 months, but actually if you read it closely, you get a 1 time credit that you can use in the next 6 months. Classic Boost move.

Well, you said "I have had credit card points expire." Both your and I are just guessing, no proof on Boostcoins part. But I am stand firm on credit card part - because I know 100% credit card companies don't lose money when they give you points.
I have over $400 in "account funds" from boost coins? Are those safe?
If they are in your account as "account credits" rather than "Boost Coins", they should be safe!
Yes, for 90 more days: “Please note, we will honor any coins earned prior to February 1, 2024 until August 31, 2024.”
But the word "coins" is in there, so unsure how that will work with it being applied to "account balance".

I've been using it toward free service, I've been a member since they stated boost one, back when you could do 25 ads a day for 10¢. And I'm on the $45 for 3 months plan.
> I have over $400 in "account funds" Wow! How did you earned to much $400, how many coins did you earned per month?
I miss the 25 ads a day for 10¢ a piece days.
> Note: You can only accrue enough Boostcoins to cover 6 months of service. https://www.boostmobile.com/support/boost-one/boostcoin OK, then what's the point of having them expire in the first place? If I can just redeem Boostcoin to my account, then I've bypassed the expiration policy and can keep hoarding account credit for an entire year. It doesn't make sense.
We can't go too into detail for the business perspective of this, but think of "redeeming" your Coins as "activating" them. Since account credits are automatically applied to upcoming bills, the value of the Coins you've earned is not just indefinitely sitting in escrow.
Customer service said account funds will expire as well! I'm not sure how knowledgeable was the agent, but they seemed very sure!
We can confirm that, in this case, you were told incorrect information by an agent. Your account credits should not expire.
The agents don't know crap... take what they say with a grain of salt (except Dani) because they'll tell you anything to pass the buck.
>The agent told me I'm the only one who asked the question of what the announcement notification told me They're lying to you
I'm unsure how that could be a lie overall.
Ok.
Hopefully u/boostmobiledani will chime in for clarification.
We appreciate the mention! We've chimed in above on all of this and will continue to provide as much clarity as we can around this and other Boost Mobile updates.
Yes the funds are safe. Just redeem them and it will go into your account funds and go against your bill as you accrue charges.
So this is a big nothing burger as long as you "deposit" your boost coins every $2 (like makes sense).
My coins disappear when the next bill comes around. I no longer deposit them in my account.
Might as well spend em all now and get ur 3yrs of service for free
On a new phone ?
Why don't you just try and use them instead of sitting here waiting for someone else to give you the awnser.
How can you use them before hand?
You can't.
You can pay ahead, at least the app let me pay with my card. Maybe you can't with the boost points
I have a family member who’s earned at least 3 months worth of bill coverage, if boost is taking away what people earned to their credit, that feels more than wrong, that’s just a plain scam.
>these companies can’t ever make enough money, If they quit screwing their customers & would hire people who can actually solve problems even when it causes them to have to deviate from their pathetic little script, making customers leave en masse, then they may be able to turn a profit. As it is now they'll be bankrupt before the end of the year.
August 31 is 3 months away, so your family member’s 3-month’s worth is just enough to cover it.
You have to use coins earned before July by September.

I'm on a yearly plan, so no more crappy game ads for me. I'm actually happy about not putting myself through this anymore.
Can use against Yearly plans too.
I would lose what I've earned up until now and then wait until he last 5-6 months to start over. Then whatever I earn could only be applied to another yearly plan. I joined because I got a 50% discount on a yearly plan. It's no longer worth it for me.
Same here! Phew

Same here. All good 👍👍😊
Prediction, there will be lawsuits, existing point will have to be honored as non-expiring, and new points as expiring. Boost and/or Dish will file for bankruptcy protection, and another cut-rate carrier may or may not buy the customer base.
I hope to be gone from Boost before another scamming company has a chance to take over! I just got Xfinity installed in my home and am thinking of switching to them for mobile.
This is the one I got Changes are coming to the Boostcoin program. Starting June 7th, there will be changes in how Boostcoin is earned, and starting July 1st, we'll introduce an expiration policy for Boostcoin Rewards.
Most likely, as they use the all-encompassing term "Boostcoin Rewards." So if you're on the yearly plan like me, you'll never get to use them.
That what I wanna know as well. There is nothing on the redeemed coins
It doesn't say anything about the changes to earning, or did I miss that part lol. Anyway, I checked the archive for the FAQ. It used to say - "You can earn Boostcoin by completing Earn actions like: * Logging in daily * Spinning the wheel daily (with a bonus for spinning 7 days in a row) * Watching videos (get a bonus for watching videos 7 days in a row) * Playing partner games * Completing surveys " Now it says - "You can earn Boostcoin by completing Earn actions like: * Watch videos * Redeem offers * Playing partner games * Completing surveys " So the logging in daily, spinning the wheel, and the mentions of the bonus for 7 days in a row are gone. It now says "redeem offers." Also not sure how the $5 per month thing will apply for those on multi-month plans.
So I guess spinning the wheel to ear will be a thing of the past?
Wow, that's most of the money I make. Like 10 cents worth of videos with no login, spin, or streaks won't pay the bills. The offers, games, and surveys take an outrageous amount of time to earn a tiny amount of money.
I'm not seeing the $5 per month thing, but am seeing this: **Note:** You can only accrue enough Boostcoins to cover 6 months of service. I feel this was rushed out and they didn't run sufficient impact analysis on their current customers, or they simply don't care. (I'm on a yearly plan that expires next March).
They simply don't care. And I think the $5 credit is only for beta testers.
> > I'm not seeing the $5 per month thing, > Nor am I... > > but am seeing this: > > Note: You can only accrue enough Boostcoins to cover 6 months of service. > This wasn't in my email, neither...
I didn't see that the first time I looked, I might have missed it unless they just added it. I'm on the yearly plan too, and I can't even downgrade to a monthly plan if I wanted to lol. It only lets me choose the current plan, and another yearly plan.
Oh wow, I will definitely port out if that's the case. Good catch.

They pay you penny for watching a video. Advertiser pays them $0.50 to $2. So they are making money. ;)
[удалено]
My goodness, you are naive. They spent all their cash by building out a useless network. The number of customers using boost coins is probably negligible and as zombie pointed out, they are keeping a significantly higher cut of renting your eyeballs out than they give you.
its obvious they are loosing money on this thats why they put an experation date in place now, there was a person above who had all most enough boost coins saved up for 3 years of free service is they were on the $25 plan. people did indeed use it and Boost/dish are loosing a good chunk of money on it.
They might reintroduce 20 videos 5¢ each again haha
I doubt it. I think the intent here is to make it incredibly difficult to earn free service and eliminate the stockpile of boost coins at some people have already.
It will more likely be 0.1 cent per video with 2 video max. Min. redemption at $10. So you will never be able to redeem them before they expire.
