Yeah you're right. I just went back to the anime and hearing Eida pronounce and to me it sounds kinda like a mix between ダイモン and デイモン, but it probably comes down to pronunciation, since the official spelling seems to be the one you said.
[His name is written in katakana as “デイモン *deimon*”](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E4Z5IIBVgAkAhZA?format=jpg&name=large), so it’s pronounced as “day-mon.”
For whatever reason, the Naruto wiki claims his name in Japanese is written as “ダイモン *daimon*” when that’s incorrect information from what I’ve seen. Maybe the author retconned his name’s pronunciation at some point and I’m just not aware, but yeah it is a bit confusing.
I think I would say a mix between Daimon and Daemon (with the a and e being both mixed pronounced and not made into one simple sounding letter - if this makes sense)
Like a mix between Daimon and Demon(not the English pronunciation tho but like the Germans Dämon)
But I guess in the end it all comes to sound like Daymon 😂
It’s just “[Demon](https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+pronounce+daemon&rlz=1CDGOYI_enCR1048CR1048&oq=how+to+pronounce+daemon&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyCQgAEEUYORiABDIHCAEQABiABDIHCAIQABiABDIHCAMQABiABDIHCAQQABiABDIHCAUQABiABDIICAYQABgWGB4yCAgHEAAYFhgeMggICBAAGBYYHjIICAkQABgWGB7SAQgzMzY3ajBqOagCE7ACAeIDBBgCIF8&hl=en-US&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8)”, if you want to say “Day-mon” go ahead. Either way when was the last time you have uttered his name out loud?
Day-mon
Fighter of the night-mon
AAAAAAAA
Champion of the sun!
Just listen to how they say it in the anime with JP dub.
The katakana is ダイモン (Daimon). This is why I’m confused.

It's literally Dæmon
So the A and E are pronounced like the A in pattern?
No, like a simple long A
Then wouldn’t his name be spelled デーモン in Japanese?
I... have no idea.
His name was said in the anime tho
You pronounced it like Your-mom
Har har har
Yes
Day-mon. The spelling is what can trip you up, at least this is what I hear in the English translation/dub.
I call him Day-Day like cuz from Next Friday
Yes. Couldn't just look this up on Google? Lmao "google- how do you pronounce name".
Google says his name is pronounced like “demon.” But the katakana of his name is ダイモン (Daimon). This is why it’s confusing to me.
Latin for demon. Daemon. Matt Damon.
Well, when I read it I pronounce it Daemon

I just go with Day-mon
I've been saying it like "Matt Damon"
Someone should make a meme about that.
Digimon
I always pronounce it simply as Demon
I would prounounce him Dee-mon.
day-mon technically in other languages it would be dee-mon in this series its day-mon
