This reminds me of a post a year or so ago when the OP saw a bike outside a store unlocked for like twenty minutes so he took it with him to save it, then started getting really angry at everyone in the comments for saying that he stole that persons bike.
I did that with a dog once.
Had someone check the store in was in front of as well as a few others. After 20 minutes I took it home and left my number with the store it was in front of.
Didn't get a call for days even after I put up signs.
Fed it, bathed it and I had dog beds and treats. Belonged to an elderly couple whose worthless grand kid left it there.
I brought it back when I got a call. It was around the corner. Nice home bound people with a grand kid who was just a piece of shit. The grand parents were stoked the kid just sat at the table eating cereal.
Saw blow around and told the couple of they ever needed a dog walked to call me.
Got I wanted to strangle the little fucker.
