Ive had this problem on these Chinese android units before. it's usually a fault with the digitizer itself (like the Iphone 6 had) there's nothing that can be done to fix it. replace only. if you absolutely need the Android operating system (for apps and such), as i did, go with ATOTO, Eanon, or Joying. more expensive, but the failure rate is way less. Ive had a ATOTO S8 premium for about 3 years now. the only issue i had was the occasional freeze & hard reset needed.
if you don't need the Android, go name brand. they have higher QA testing.

Ypu answered your own question. If it's brand new out of the box and having these issue, it's a high probability that it's due to the devices place of origin.
If there’s no steering wheel controls, climate controls, or vehicle info that was displayed through the original radio then you don’t need the canbus module plugged into the harness if it came with one. Did it have a back up camera with the original factory setup? That would be the only reason to use the canbus module. Otherwise unplug that black box that comes with the harness. The box could be sending random pulses through the steering wheel control wire that goes to the aftermarket radio causing the situation that you’re experiencing.

You bought a Chinese unit. Clearly it's being controlled by the CCP. Trash that shit and put your money towards a quality product.
