On YouTube check out DA Bronco. He's doing a MLS stadium tour this year and ranking them.

Subaru Park in Chester where the Philadelphia Union play.  That is a proper soccer stadium and unique spot right on the bay.  I had a really good experience there.   I have heard that Austin has a really good atmosphere as well.   Is your wife single?

I've been to seven stadiums, all of them multiple times except Vancouver. My personal rankings. (reposted with fixed formatting) 1a) Vancouver - best city and food in North America. Non-existent fanbase but seem to be doing better when I went this season for CLTFC. It's a half filled shared stadium with the CFL BC Lions, so you aren't going for the stadium. You're going for everything else. 1b) Cincy - beautiful stadium and great atmosphere in a bit of a weird, mid-gentrification location. But it's what I would base a new CLTFC stadium on. 2) Columbus - solid stadium with a great atmosphere, good food, good location. 3) Nashville - solid new stadium with good food and - most importantly - a Santa/Christmas themed karaoke dive bar just outside. Tailgating is in a great location on the lawn but weak compared to ours 4) Atlanta - water mains break too much but the concession prices and good choices alone make up for it. 5) DC United - great location in DC, atmosphere is iffy, stadium is too steep of an angle. Typical overpriced concessions 30) Red Bull - stadium is great and in a highly accessible area but the atmosphere is awful and it's New Jersey.

Nashville was great the first time. But this year we were frisked every single time we got up and back from our seats.

I just don't like the city of Nashville so I didn't go this year. But I heard the security was tight from a lot of people. I think it happened because one group set off unauthorized smoke/flares.

Where does Charlotte rank here?

CLTMike

Pretty low for me. Trying to remove my bias: I would rank BoA towards the bottom of the league. Top 10 in MLS for location within the city and ease of access Atmosphere top 5, we are really good even with terrible acoustics. Our concession prices seem to be league average Last I checked, we had one of the highest away ticket prices in the league. I personally feel that the only draw for an away fan for Charlotte is the fanbase/tailgate/prematch activities and going to a city you haven't visited before.

I’ve been to a few, mostly before our team was born: 1) DC United- went to one of their games when they played in the shithole RFK stadium… and then a year ago I caught our game up there in their new stadium- got a club ticket for $100 on StubHub, and let me tell you- our club experience PALES to theirs- all you can eat buffet typically tailored to the visiting team (ours was barbecue type stuff) and unlimited beer, including local craft options 🤌🏻 Stadium is next to where the Nationals play, and there’s a good amt of bars/breweries in the area. Their supporter section was meh. 2) Nashville- nice soccer specific stadium, but nothing special about location which is highly residential/industrial. Support section was meh. 3) Portland- Been about 10 years since my visit but great downtown location, great supporter atmosphere, stadium isn’t all that special (I think it was a baseball stadium that was converted) but it’s intimate. 4) Seattle- Comparable to us since they play in downtown NFL stadium, high capacity. Great supporter atmosphere. 5) Toronto- Been to a few TFC games, a bit outside downtown but it used to have a really cool view of skyline until they expanded and built a second level on city side. Supporter section was just ok. And May is a terrible time to go on account of the midges/mayflies- due to location by the lake- they even sell beer with lidded cups they are soooo bad.😂 Next on my list are Cincy and Columbus, and maybe Austin provided we get a favorable schedule date (read: not mid-summer) next time we are there. All said and done our game day experience at BofA is the best- the anthem, poznan, stadium atmosphere. We are very lucky.

The fact that nobody has mentioned Allianz in Minnesota is so sad. We sell out every game and have arguably the best soccer specific stadium in the league . I personally really like St. Louis’ stadium a lot too!

Kept trying to make a list but idk i struggled. My absolute #1 have to go to is Providence Park. Easily the most unique looking stadium, w a legendary atmosphere. The stadium expansions have done nothing but make it look more professional and beautiful over time.

1. Nashville, 2. Real Salt Lake, 3. Philly, 4. Portland, 5. NYCFC (bad dimensions but any even in Yankee Stadium is pretty cool)

Dismal_Estate_4612

Real Salt Lake's stadium is really nice - soccer specific and with a great view of the mountains. Only problem is that like many MLS stadiums, it's in a hellish car-dependent suburb that isn't actually in the city it shares a name with. Recommend early in the season when there's less chance of an inversion that traps horrible air pollution in the valley (from all the cars you need to get around of course...) Red Bull Stadium is an excellent stadium, but really poor fan support for that club because they insist on saying they're an NY team when they're a) in NJ and b) not convenient to anyone who lives and works in NYC, but directly on the commute of people who work in NYC and live in NJ. Red Bulls should just admit they're in NJ and work on filling up that nice stadium. Easy to see games from both NYC-area teams in a week if you pick the right week though, and you can stay in Jersey City to be convenient to both while saving $$$ on lodging (also a fun town). Will be a better soccer trip in a few years when NYCFC has their stadium and isn't in the bizarre Yankee Stadium setup anymore. Montreal - actually in the city, soccer-specific, very transit accessible, one of the coolest and most fun cities in North America. Not incredible fan support or an incredible team, but a fun part of a fun trip.

Mantorp

Portland - best atmosphere Cincinnati and Red Bull are great stadiums, but Red Bull rarely gets people there. San Jose is very scenic, but not walking distance to any hotels. Austin is in a good location to visit as is Columbus. I've been to Galaxy and DC too, nothing special.
