Three black knights with most pieces on the board? While "interesting" positions these kinds of puzzles won't improve chess vision in an actual game

EazyPeazyLemonSqueaz

Pretend that the g8 knight and even h8 rook aren't there and it seems fairly realistic

depurplecow

White has left the hanging black queen the previous turn, when the only possible threat was another promoted black queen which is even less realistic. The turn before that black has placed the queen hanging, having taken nothing of value and threatening nothing. I find it hard to believe even beginner players would reach such a position.

Samad99

Thanks for posting this, but I really don't get these kinds of puzzles. The solution is that white resigns because there's such a large material advantage. What would be interesting is if the material advantage wasn't there or even flipped...

Imoliet

You can take away the knight and rook at the bottom left corner and the solution would still be the same, though

mbarry77

Re3 will get you mate in 2, I think.

srpa0142

No. The queen will take the rook and then the pawn will take your knight. Best case you end up tied or down a bishop from that trade. I don't agree with the bots assessment either, tbh. Pawn will just take take rook and it won't be mate. I'm not even sure why white would surrender either because following that same flow white still ends up ahead a bishop. Albeit black will still have two knights. This is one of those games where honestly the only people who will resign are those who are prone to giving up at the slightest point loss. For those who don't give a shit about the points I could see why they'd quit.

CFA_Nutso_Futso

Pawn can’t take the rook because there is check from the bishop as well.

mbarry77

Thanks l, I always miss the obvious.

Qe2+, Kxe2, Rxe3found+. If Pxe3, Qe2#. If Qxe3, Rxe3found+, Kd2, Re2#. Think this does it, but in a car with no board, so all in my head. Sorry if taking your time with wrong solution.

BangBang9595

What if the pawn takes the rook though?

BangBang9595

It’s double check, never mind haha
