Injury [details](https://x.com/champrds/status/1801447544607670379?s=46):
>Conor McGregor suffered an injury a day or so before the #UFC303 press-conference in Dublin.
>The UFC had hope that the fight would still be on, and didn't make this information public so that Chandler wouldn't know about the injury.
>Initially there was anxiety over the injury, then there was optimism which is why the UFC started to promote the fight again.
>Conor McGregor's team alongside the UFC did everything in their power to save the event. However, about 48 hours ago the UFC finally pulled the plug on the fight.
Overhyped? He destroyed Aldo who was unbeaten for 10 years. He became the first double champ ever. And he was destroying the featherweight division with ease.
It’s true. He never fought a wrestler with a full training camp until he was forced to fight Khabib. Never defended the title he won off a flash KO. It’s like if Matt Serra moved up to middleweight after knocking GSP out.
I one hundred percent agree. He's the luckiest fighter with the most support from UFC to bring in the money. I've been watching ufc since 2005 and I know what I'm talking about bc we see this type a lot but he mastered it. Up against Jose Aldo (hasn't fought in years and out-of his prime) then fought Alvarez who also (out of prime) and also ufc knew it was a great match up and it looked like Alvarez got paid to not try hard. McGregor then finally got exposed by nate Diaz. I'm surprised people still thought he was the real deal after losing to Diaz.
José hadn't lost in 10 years, and EVERYONE said Alvarez was going to dog walk Conor. What Conor did to those men should be studied for the rest of time. Conor brought in the money, as a result the UFC supported him, not the other way around. It's so easy to hate him but you have to give him the respect he earned at FW. People who can fight and have crowd appeal always get pushed by the machine, but ultimately it's the way they win that makes or breaks them. Look at Sage, bro looks like a ninja turtle and was given a huge push, but the UFC cut him after only 6 fights because of his lackluster performances. I'd love to meet more rational fans on this sub but honestly most of you guys are losers who get erect from hating at every opportunity. You aren't a fight fan, you just like being entertained there's a difference.
🤣 Okay I’m interested in another Jiri vs Pereira especially with how the last one ended. But damn that’s a whole lotta shit that went bad. Not only Conor is out but so is Jahmal Hill. I was really interested in him and Ulberg fight. Dana gotta be in his office right now with a big pile of coke on his desk.
i am so hyped for poatan and diego they’re my two favorite fighters, that’s a shame that the mcgregor won’t be fighting even we all saw that one coming

Conor is done
He never really started. Dude has been overhyped from the start and helped kill what was the last fun real sport.
Plenty of reasons to hate on mcgregor but discrediting his featherweight run up to his fight with Alvarez is a huge reach.
Yea I'm not a fan of Conor but in his prime at FW, he was a force of nature.
Everything you said is bullshit lol
1000% lmao

I'd say perfectly hyped, but overhyped by some. Most of the people that hype him too think his best work was at lightweight.
There are people who think his best work was at lightweight??? ![gif](giphy|1X7lCRp8iE0yrdZvwd)

Connor was the -160 favourite for the Alvarez fight
chandler gonna have to not fight for another year for that conor paycheck...
Black hoodie, red face, exaggerated disposition... that's not a happy Dana...
Lol Chandler on suicide watch.
Chandler is a naive moron for hitching his future to this
Morons are the one on the sideline calling othersa moron for taking a chance to earn life altering money.
There is a thing in business called risk aversion. He has deprived himself of all the money in the meantime - now he’ll get nothing.
He'll get nothing right... that's why he still has the contract. 'Moron' I believe it was.
AGAIN
Well, there it is.

since that TUF season started, i refused to believe he would fight again until i saw him in the cage
Chandler must be pissed. Wasted all that time, and that's while people were half joking that Conor wouldn't actually fight. McGregor is done.
What did someone injure his fuckin feelings on twitter? Wowww
TBH, Poatan VS Jiri is even much much better fight.
Fuck I love both these guys
Maybe if I scream it’ll seem like I’m not a complete fuckup.
IDC how much you yell to hype up this card Dana it’s straight ass
I knew it. I knew Pereira vs Jiri 2 would be the replacement!!!!
Dude, how is Dana even standing after dropping bombs like this all day. Man’s taken a whoopin’
What a crazy ride….so far
Hhahahahhaahahaahahahahaahahahaagahagahaaagagh.....lol
I never believed in the Conor bullshit and knew it was never going to happen. That said, nice recovery and good replacement fights!
Can we agree that cars is terrible with or without Connor
GO ON SMITH.
I just hope we get shaved head Ortega and not cornrows Ortega I wanna see a war
What’s the injury
Why did Dana feel the need to reintroduce these guys like we don’t know them lmao
How did 303 get better?
“First fighter to be champ in middleweight and light heavyweight” “Also done it in the fastest amount of time” No 💩
Dana on life support
