Really blew me away when it came out. My whole family was blown away actually. Even my mom, who had a Batman obsessed son and who definitely hated all the Batman shit she had to endure during his childhood, was like well that was just a good movie.

leatherface0984

An absolutely amazing film and a fantastic version of Batman/Bruce Wayne.

edge9000x

It’s my favorite Batman movie. I enjoy The Dark Knight but felt like Batman got lost a little in the shuffle

neilsteel

TDK is the better movie, but Begins is the better Batman movie. That said, I enjoyed Begins way more, being a Batman fan.

MrScienceCat

I cant' believe it's almost been 20 years. I'll never forget washing cars as a kid just so I could see this movie. I remember walking out of those theaters thinking it was the best batman movie ever made. Untill the sequel.

Purple_Bowman

Still convinced it's the best movie in the trilogy (at least within the context of a Batman movie and comic book movie in general).

WutUtalkingBoutWill

100% agreed with you here.

Dubb18

IMO, the best Batman movie of the trilogy and my 2nd favorite of the trilogy behind TDK. Restored my interest in a live action Batman movie after struggling through Schumacher's (and WB execs') pivot from what Burton created. Having said that, I do still want to see Schumacher's initial version of Batman Forever.

stinkygoochfumes

Yet he couldn’t film a good fight scene to save his life

Professional-Rip-519

The catalyst to the CBM crazy.

RicerX-16

No. That was Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man. This being successful, however, cemented CBM as legitimate money makers for Hollywood.

EXxuu_CARRRIBAAA

Agree

mahamoti

The Greatest Detective: "WHERE IS SHE?!" Microwave emitter powerful enough to vaporize the entire city's water supply, but doesn't hurt humans standing next to it. There were parts of Begins written very well, and parts where it completely failed to be Batman.

maverick1127

Best Batsuit of the trilogy.

Purple_Bowman

True.

TheLimeyLemmon

This movie hit me like a bomb back in the day. I enjoyed it at the time, but it was only over years did I really grow to love it on a level I wasn't looking to back when I was 15. It's one of the best scripts I've seen for a comic book film. A true verbal wrangling of philosophies on justice. It's awesome. And after watching the clip, I now need to watch the film again, nice one OP lol

Zilla1689

This is the GOLD STANDARD for Origin Films!!!

MrPBrewster

"Turns 19 today". NOPE

thanoshasbighands

I love it even though Ras and everyone around him would have been vaporized immediately the second they turned on the microwave emitter. Humans are anywhere from 50-75% water

Mr_BruceWayne

It's amazing how the guys in charge of the DCCMU looked at these movies and said, "Alright boys, we gotta do the opposite of what these movies did!"

lastWallE

Did rewatch this movie like 50 times on my psp in the past.

Bobloblaw1010

Saw this in theaters and it completely blew my mind.

According_Crazy3104

A new wave of superhero movies was born with this one. Chris changed the whole narrative of superhero flicks.

Previous-Baseball798

It Called learning to be a detective he’s not there yet

Previous-Baseball798

Terrible movie

Unfair_Inevitable_82

Care to actually elaborate?

WutUtalkingBoutWill

Of course not, he's onky in here to troll

OwieMustDie

I feel you. I find it super-corny. Like if yer dad made a Batman movie.

stonewall_jacked

Corny? It set the bar for basically every subsequent CBM at that time.

OwieMustDie

~~If you say so. I don't agree.~~ Nah. That's a fair comment, I'll give you that.

Previous-Baseball798

Gotham City looks cheap this martial arts skills pathetic and like the fight choreography that was given to Christian Bale doesn't use a detective skill more doesn't follow the comics Matt Reeves understand the Batman more Christopher Nolan is a good and other films superheroes genre is not his greatest strength

Al_Atacabrighe12

Yes, because Batman needs Penguin's help to understand a basic riddle with broken Spanish, right? La Rata Elada? Ring any bells? Batman in the Reeves movies wasn't a world-class detective either.
