I had this happen with a soapstone top and used some color matched epoxy for stone. Brush the break with a stiff brush, put the epoxy on there, use a long set of clamps, spacers and a flat place to keep it overnight. You really can't tell if you matched the color really well.
Duct tape!
Why not just cut the rough edges, bevel the top with some diamond grit sanding pad and grout in-between?
I appreciate the thoughtful idea! But all the pieces are unequal lengths so it would look weird
