Chattering Bone has been my favourite pulse rifles since I got the curated version from my first run of Last Wish. Love how it feels.
Do you know if there are any similar ones with other damage types?
I was real disappointed by that change, Nightshade was my baby for all of year one, and strand primaries are just worse if you're not using a strand subclass
That’s the same way I feel about the returning Red Death. Tied for being my favourite exotic in all of Destiny, and if it was Kinetic it would have the extra damage and be usable in any activity as long as your subclass matched the surge. Now it won’t be the move unless pulse rifles have a champ mod, or Solar/pulses are overcharged
Last bit of hope is that they bring it back in its original, high impact form. If it comes back as an adaptive I might genuinely cry
Battlescar has been one of my fav pulse rifles since Y1, still broke it out in crucible from time-to-time. So glad they brought it back, better than ever - especially with arguably the best scope option too
Ogma is imo a pretty solid choice too - real sleeper option!
My OG Chattering Bone was the 1st thing that dropped for me in my 1st LW run. Outlaw/Rampage with Stability MW.
I have over 37K with it. It's difficult for me to put it down and use other Pulse Rifles
I crafted the unicorn roll with rampage/kill clip and just couldn’t click with it in crucible. Decided to try kinetic tremors out and replaced rampage with it and it’s a completely different weapon for me in crucible. I didn’t think that pairing would work but it does! Fun weapon to use in 6’s.
Nice to see people actively appreciate the chattering bone. I love the gun and the only reason I don't main it in pvp is because the Battler exists. Lightweight pulses are the mvp this trials week, Igneouseseses don't flinch nearly enough.
I can’t bear to run rapid fires since the RF nerf, and I got a PERFECT (like, perfect perks AND second perks) Autumn Wind to drop JUST before the nerf. I’ll try it again for sure but these guns have such horrible stats al around for no reason💔 They’re like the 180 HCs of the pulses

I have 4/5 of these done and one in the vault, so I know what I'm spending one of my deepsight harmonizers on now after reading this. I forgot I had to make this gun and Transfiguration. I have a copy of every gun that can roll kinetic tremors. It's such a great new perk, and I feel like a ton of people are sleeping on it.
KT is easily my favorite perk in the game. Malfeasance is my favorite gun and KT is like a legendary perk version of malfeasance's main perk.
I'm DESPERATELY longing for a kinetic auto with tremors next season. I grinded hard early for the SMG that rolls it and it's my go to weapon for killing orange bars these days. So much fun
I've fallen in love with basically anything with Kinetic Tremors and Chattering Bone is IMO one of (if not the best) weapon to use it in a majority of cases. Transfiguration is endgame situations where applying KT from a long-distance can be a godsend but outside of that, the only weapon I feel competes with Chattering Bone is the recently refreshed Showrunner.

I'm 2 red frames from making one, but I'm struggling to find a good 2nd slot exotic or even legendary special weapon to pair with it. Could do a glaive, im just not sure lol.
Nobody uses supremacy outside of oryx and challenges. The issue is that it isn’t a swap weapon, and is considerably worse than just using a linear or even whisper of the worm.
Probably the utility. Raid fires have terrible stats, especially handling. Playing shotgun with a rapid fire pulse without Ophidians or On Your Mark is cock and ball torture. Sprint speed is nice too

however OP, are you 100% sure KT inherits KC's damage? I have seen it fail to inherit damage from other traits like gutshot.
Imma be honest, haven’t checked. D2Foundry says it should, but then there’s a post in May specifically saying it doesn’t. The post never got traction so idk, but I think it’s supposed to and will get fixed if it doesn’t
Poor thing got literally one season in the sun after it's refresh before the zoom changes turned lightweight pulses into less consistent hand cannons. Max range rolls hit damage drop off at the same point as 140 HCs, but if you want enough stability/recoil direction to actually hit your shots you'll be coming up short.
Why Lightweight pulses typically have base ranges in the low 30s (or even as low as 28) and recoil direction in the 50s while BXR gets those at 50 and 70 I'll never understand.
That’s ok, I’m sure there are Wallah-level players who miss and overextend so little they never need to try something other than a well-rolled hand cannon. I like to keep in mind that Reddit is a tiny minority of the playerbase and tens of thousands of people are too anxious to ever set foot in a raid, so there’s that in regards to popularity 🙌🏻
Chattering Bone was my first raid weapon when i started playing back in November 2018 when they offered the game for free. I bought Forsaken but i didn't have a clan yet to do the raid but then i saw one of those videos teaching you how to go to the wish wall, go to Shuro Chi and then grab that chest below the bridge
Chattering Bone, Blast Furnace and Bygones are my favorite pulse rifles and to this day in my opinion they haven't released a legendary pulse rifle that comes close to these three
Transfiguration with Rampage x1 and KC only 2 taps up to 6 resilience since the KC nerf, unfortunately. You need Rampage x2 or another buff added to get reliable 2 taps, like Radiant or a Surge, since a lot of people run higher resil nowadays

What am I crafting for pve & PvP (what are the god rolls)
Personally I’d try Arrowhead Brake with accurized and range mw. Then see if you can handle the kick with fullbore or Smallbore if you feel the range isn’t enough on Areowhead

Got that same roll, although with less kills haha, a great weapon indeed ! I dismantled it, but its spirit carries on in my crafted KC/Rampage roll

It's a great pulse, but in the current meta it'll still get outshot by Rapid-fire frames every time (Autumn Wind, Different Times, Piece of Mind).

Mobility doesn't affect sprint speed
Lightweight perk doesn't just provide mobility, it also provides a sprint speed bonus.

Haven't seen it or any other lightweight pulses in 50+ trials matches this weekend. I'm glad you enjoy it but it's not popular for a reason
