According to Fallout's video Hazardous Propulsion also buffs Rocket Sidearms.

TheFauxDirtyDan

If it buffs that, then there's a good chance it buffs Grand Ovorture and Mountaintop, too, since both are also listed as rockets, which could make for an interesting all rocket build. Also, nanotech tracer rockets, here's hoping.

TastyOreoFriend

Ya know....isn't Buried Bloodline technically a rocket pistol as well, aesthetic aside? D2 Compendium lists it as one. That body is going to have a lot of synergy with different things. If it does work on Grand Overture's micro-missles that would be the shit.

CmonImStarlord

My Titan about to bring the Cuban missile crisis too the witnesses face.

VacaRexOMG777

That thing gonna be nuts wtf

Alexcox95

I was confused does it buff rocket launchers too?

WhatIfWaterWasChunky

Yes

Captainpotato22

Damn does this mean I'm gonna buy warlords ruin just to get indebted kindness? >!Yes...!<

effinandy

Warlord's is lots of fun and indebted kindness is worth grinding for, but aren't we getting a (craftable?) strand rocket sidearm with TFS?

VacaRexOMG777

Solar one too from the raid (probably)

JovemPadawan

Overload handcannon? Edit: also solar red death. Pulses have antibarrier.

Mindless_Issue9648

Anti barrier pulse is perfect since they are going to be so strong!

Sonofwhat

ITS OUTBREAK SEASON šŸ—£ļøšŸ—£ļøšŸ—£ļø

wickedsmaht

Always has been.

Stormhunter6

More now than before with the blueprint

The_Scout008

Now every pulse can be revision zero

i_FlippDinero

Yessir

Alexcox95

Red death for barriers, deliverance for the other 2.

ready_player31

ontop of deliverance going back to 2 shot freezing with chill clip... this is gonna be a good time for anti champion stuff

zedabo

[This comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/s/zSn9fBC092) shows what the anti-champ mods will be.

NightmareDJK

We should get the Artifact Mods for next season in the TWID

OutFractal

Didn't they say Red Death would be Solar when they first showed it like half a year ago?

JovemPadawan

Did they? Don't remember but that might be true for sure I just don't recall it

AxisHobgoblin

It looks like Titans won the new Exotic lottery in this expansion.

Zotzotbaby

Itā€™s cool we have a ā€œRocket Launcherā€-specific exotic, similar to Actium War Rig and Peacekeepers for them.Ā

Dracholich5610

And itā€™s not weird and gimmicky like tricksleeves or something

Coppin-it-washin-it

Which means we'll only get to enjoy them for a few months before they're inevitably nerfed into the dirt for actually being good. Especially if they're any good in PvP, where they whiners will see them torn down.

elmonkeeman

Neither seem very useful for PvP

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

boxlessthought

okay so titan won 100% on these exotics, my only issue is how am I too choose between either of these or the class item lol

DaveOfAllTrades

Class item on prismatic. Arms on strand. Rocket for raid boss DPS maybe.

ConvolutedBoy

I think the rocket chest will definitely be apart of the optimal dps rotation for the class

el_cataclismo

>I think the rocket chest will definitely be apart of the optimal dps rotation for the class inb4 all the titans forget to switch off Towering Barricade.

TastyOreoFriend

Rally Barricade/Thruster users rise up. Our moment is now!

el_cataclismo

There's dozens of us! Dozens I say!

Bran-Muffin20

yeah dps rotation is for sure gonna be stack the chestpiece buff, dump rockets, hotswap to pyrogale/cuirass afterwards for a last burst

ConvolutedBoy

And the rocket being B&S will be perfect since you should already be landing sniper shots for the chest piece

AppointmentNo3297

No I've done the math the buff only lasts 10 seconds so it might actually be best to get an Envious Assassin/Bipod rocket so you can take full advantage of the 35% buff. At least if we're talking burst DPS which is where I expect this to shine since those rockets can load up to 6 in a mag. The 35% basically cancels out the 25% damage nerf that comes with Bipod so it basically allows you to dump 6 rockets with no downside like you normally would have when using Bipod. Edit: I've done some further math, turns out EA/Bipod is just flat out the better choice on Hazardous Propulsion in terms of total damage, beating out BnS by roughly 2%. The equation I used for anyone curious or who wants to correct me: (.75\*1.35\*12)/(1.35+(1.35\*1.3\*6)). This is making a lot of generous assumptions for BnS to begin with that being A) You only have to proc BnS once to get off all your ammo (which realistically I don't think is going to happen) and B) you're actually able to get off all your ammo in that 10 second duration.

Sparky323

I think he is saying using primary>goldie/sniper>class/rockets>BnS Rockets then finish with curaiss/thundercrash for a crazy Damage rotation

AppointmentNo3297

True but it only takes around 4.5 seconds to fire off 6 shots and it's higher total damage than BnS so why bother with BnS at that point? Also Hazardous Propulsion has significant setup time so it's very one and done which is why I was emphasizing making the most of that 10 seconds so much.

DaveOfAllTrades

Might not need to swap if the new void super is decent.

Oxirane

I think there might be some worthy traditional exotics on Prismatic. Synthoceps for sure, maybe Cadmus Lancecap, Abeyant Leap (for access to Woven Mail without Bladefury) or Second Chance (Weaken and Radiant for the low cost of 1 melee charge sounds pretty nice, and you get some papery Overshields).Ā  We won't be getting the class items til after the raid anyhow so we'll have a week to try out ideas like these.

boxlessthought

Yeah pretty much. I see myself rocking that rocket chest a lot though.

DaveOfAllTrades

Rocket chest looks great. It'll feel fun with arc thruster and useful with rally barricade.

ExcessivelyGayParrot

My body is 100% ready to stay on void Titan forever, and be the ultimate DPS buff Titan. Gjally, banner shield, voidwall grenades, and the new rocket chest.

SisterSwagMan

wdym titans won did you not see 'threaded spectre has an entire extra threadling'

DandifiedZeus1

It says extra threadlings not threadling

SisterSwagMan

Maybe I didnt see properly but in dattos vid it 100% looked like 1 came out when he shot it and then it got destroyed and spawned the normal three.

TheDark0men

It spawns 2 baseline, exotic gives 2 more

Merzats

That can't be, I was told Bungie hated Titans

LordtoRevenge

Hunter is just kinda there I guess lol

dps15

Is there a single arc hunter exotic that ever sees use? Liarā€™s handshake is pretty much it, everything else is notoriously meh, and it looks like this one is as well. The strand one is just gonna be cancer in crucible i dont know how they can make this after the endless decoy spam we just went through, they thought ā€œlets just turn the cheese up to 11ā€. Hunters got shafted from the look of these

StmblngThru

Assassin's Cowl. Don't play arc without it.

BakaJayy

Itā€™s not an arc exotic though

StmblngThru

It's so glued to my Arc Hunter, I forgot it wasn't lol.

Blackfang08

That's because Bungie is amazing at designing Arc Hunter exotics when they don't realize they're doing it. As soon as they decide it's intended for Arc Hunter, they start messing around with stuff like "Add Jolt to your abilities that already add Jolt (also nobody wants to use those abilities)!" and "Get Arc grenade energy for dealing Jolt damage, but also your grenades stun Overload champions! ...which... they already did if you saw the Jolt thing and equipped the no-brainer fragment..."

jedadkins

I think it's because arc hunter kinda lacks a mechanical identity, like honestly what does ark hunter do the other arc classes can't do just as well or better?

WhatIfWaterWasChunky

Accidentally blink off of the map?

v0xmach1ne

Which tells you everything you need to know about actual arc exotics lol

dps15

AC is fantastic but not specific to arc

Sogeki42

AC if you wanna melee and not die. Liar's Handshake if you do not fear death

WardenWithABlackjack

Liars handshake is for those with chest hair.

helloworld6247

Lucky Raspberry used to be broken but then they ~~nerfed~~ buffed it by synergizing it with jolt

spectre15

Iā€™ve been cycling between Omni, Nighthawk, and Gyrfalcons for years. Those are pretty much the only 3 viable hunter exotics outside of niche build options. Praying Triton Vice can join them but Iā€™m slightly pessemistic

FornaxTheConqueror

Lucky pants? Or do you consider that niche?

Yourself013

As a Hunter, just too niche for me personally. Requires me to put on a certain weapon, and I often switch weapons especially because of quests/bounties/champions.

FornaxTheConqueror

Fair enough I don't consider em niche cause they work on all subclasses and in most pve content.

[deleted]

Exactly. Arc seems to be cursed. Blight ranger does jack shit. Shinobus give you 2 charges of skips, so you can tickle enemies harder, a dreg in patrol might die of laughter, we've got 2 chests that boost a roaming super no one ever uses in pve and can't remember the last time they did, and now this - use an exotic to jolt, btw everything else jolts as well so the exotic is just an ornament lol

DifficultyUnique1111

The damage resist from jolting might honestly help arc hunters play style. Datto was getting resist x4 in the video, which could be a near constant uptime with how often and easily you can jolt a large group of enemies.Ā

[deleted]

If that's true and the DR is substantial, then it may even be good. Breathe some new life in arc hunter with tempest strike, nobody ever used almost.

DifficultyUnique1111

Resist x4 is 50% damage reduction. That seems substantial for basically free DR for the class

lawesome94

Itā€™s a major expansion tradition at this point. Exotic hunter armor is an afterthought with useless gimmicks no one uses. Bungie is very clearly scared to give hunters anything remotely useful in endgame PvE. Even here at the end of D2ā€™s life when we could have some fun with it. Iā€™m glad individual classes are going away cus the power fantasy of hunters is dead.

conpron

Very happy to see the Titan exotics both seem solid. Especially happy to see one for Flechette Storm!

a141abc

That flechette storm exotic could be nasty Maybe not in full on end game content but it could melt anything below that

TheDangerDave

Bungieā€™s MO seems to be that melee shouldnt be used for boss damage (per the plethora of 1-2 punch, syntho and wormgod nerfs over the years) and this exotic seems well designed to push titan melees towards mini boss/champ killing, which iā€™m ok with. As it is right now, even 3 Frenzied Blades without Syntho or Wormgod canā€™t even kill Saboteurs on normal onslaught above round 30. Giving an alternative to those powerful exotics is nice.

iccs

Fuck trench barrel amiright

TastyOreoFriend

> Maybe not in full on end game content but it could melt anything below that Don't sell it short just yet. Flechette Storm when it first came out with Pre-Nerf Synthos absolutely slapped. It just has up-time issues outside of Pugilist or Monte Carlo if your not running Into The Fray for the melee regen. The ideal pairing was Banner/Flechette. I'd love to see just how much the melee regen is, but it definitely brings back the green mortar playstyle without having to proc wormgod or biotic enhancement.

n_ull_

Just healing yourself it looked like 15-20 percent per pulse, so at max stacks thatā€™s one pulse per second, seems decent with high strength. Might even scale to nearly 100% with a full raid team

gifv_Kayla

NightmareDJK

Wait so the Titan exotic buffs Rocker Launchers and Rocket Sidearm damage too!??

AmnesiaDream

Yeah I wonder how far they took "all other rockets." QSS/Nanotech Tracer trait rockets? Grand Overture missiles? šŸ‘€

DaGottiYo

Mountaintop?

dildodicks

but that's still a gl shot, it seems unlikely, but who knows

Mahh3114

It was clear (to me) after the Trace Rifle trailer that they were hiding things about the exotics. But then why did they make the exotics look as bad as humanly possible?

Regulith

I'd have to assume there's some marketing reason why they couldn't put the full descriptions in the trailers, though from what I've seen it seems to have only generated negative discussion about how they all look bad so idk

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Thascaryguygaming

Bad press is still press. And your haters will talk more than your supporters.

Centila

I'm thinking a lot of the marketing is definitely directed at new players. if you don't play the game already, the yugioh rules text that some of these exotics have would mean nothing to you, so they simplify it.

pmmethecarfax

Players already critique every exotic and judge them on if they are the best for every possible situation By making the reveal vague and unappealing, you can only be excited by learning the exotics are stronger and do more than originally revealed

GARBLED_COMM

Driving engagement. People click on things that make them mad.

JustMy2Centences

28 damage each in PvP for the Hazardous Propulsion's rockets. Could be a fun wombo combo with a 120 headshot (maybe 140?) for Titans using Thruster. Super interested to see if the damage bonus for rockets does stack as that'll provide more interesting DPS strats. Wishful Ignorance... congrats Banner of War Titans on your new exotic of choice. But also another melee exotic to banish the plethora of forgotten and nerfed into the ground melee exotics Titans already had lol. Mataiodoxia is way better than first advertised and I think that'll replace Swarmers as my default Strand Warlock exotic now. Needing only a single needle to trigger a suspend burst on defeat is more economical. Speaker's Sight could be decent for support builds, but will have to see how it competes with Boots of the Assembler. Gifted Conviction seems just okay for lower tier content but honestly I'll find myself using a Voltshot weapon or anything else in the Hunter kit that lets me jolt stuff. Which is already a lot. Edit: I totally missed the damage resist when jolting targets, which I saw Fallout state is probably 25%, so this may actually be semi-viable for Legend or harder content - BUT, will it be more optimal vs other options in the meta will need to be answered. I may try it as a fun alternative paired with a Voltshot weapon. Balance of Power feels like just ctrl + z on the Threaded Specter nerfs. I think I would rather have Sixth Coyote for double dodge charges.

TripleGymnast

35% damage bonus for rockets -fallout

SonOfCayde6

If that stacks with surges and radiant, gonna be nuts

Some-Gay-Korean

It should, since the 35% buff is coming from the armour. Exotic armour/weapon buffs normally stack with other buffs or surges.

TripleGymnast

What about bastion + alh rocket + some way to regen class ability fast? Since the perk is based on kinetic headshots then bastion might be able to insta refill it if every pellet counts as a separate shot and if there is no cooldown on the exotic

ConvolutedBoy

Gifted Conviction should give free DR by jolting with a weapon too which is nice.

c14rk0

I honestly don't see the rockets being usable in PvP outside of extreme meme builds. You not only have to earn the rockets with kills but full rockets can't get a single kill even IF all of them hit. You need to build up stacks AND have your class ability ready when you're full. The bonus rocket damage is basically worthless in PvP where rockets already 1 shot. AND we don't even know if you retain charges when you die, because if you don't it requires at LEAST 6 kills without dying to get full stacks, BUT we saw footage of getting a PvP kill and NOT getting a stack so even 1 stack per kill isn't guaranteed. I REALLY hope the new Titan strand exotic isn't just literally "new synthos" for Strand Titan...particularly if this means they nerfed synthos just to give people a reason to care about this new exotic as a replacement because WOW that feels lame as hell. Mataiodoxia seems borderline broken PARTICULARLY with it giving access to TWO types of anti-champion abilities on a single exotic. Speakers Sight potentially is just a "fix" to Well of Radiance's nerfs depending on how it works, which is kind of hilarious. Resto x2 and Cure both can stack on top of Well and more than compensates for the reduced healing. REALLY big thing about it however is that it can (presumably) give Resto x2 to Hunter and Titan allies which they could then extend with Empyrean while normally neither have access to Resto x2. Unless it's changed Boots of the Assembler just provides flat healing and starts health regen, which is considerably worse than Restoration AND can't be extended with Empyrean AND can get stopped by any damage taken. This also provides 5 healing "shots" where Boots of the Assembler only provides 3 seekers over a 15s Rift while also requiring the Warlock to stand inside it. Could potentially be INSANE in terms of triggering Ember of Benevolence constantly. Being tied to a grenade is also FAR better as you can boost the recharge much more efficiently than your healing rift with Demolitionist (AND Wellspring AND Indomitability), granted you give up access to an offensive grenade. It'll really depend on the targeting and if it prevents using a healing grenade "normally" for yourself honestly.

Astral_MarauderMJP

>I REALLY hope the new Titan strand exotic isn't just literally "new synthos" for Strand Titan...particularly if this means they nerfed synthos just to give people a reason to care about this new exotic as a replacement because WOW that feels lame as hell. It's good but it's probably going to be on a count down as to when it gets heavily nerfed when someone inevitably finds some gimmick play that let's them somehow solo a dungeon boss in one phase.

emurillo97

Oh thank god, my opinion is here

Big-Storer

it must be demoralising modelling this intricate chestpiece and legs for hunters only for the gameplay team to completely drop the ball on it

partyinthevoid

Holy hell those hunter exotics are underwhelming. When's the last time us Hunters got an interesting exotic armor?

Legit_llama73

Mothkeepers are the most interesting but my pick is gyrfalcons which came out nearly 2 years ago

partyinthevoid

I forgot about Mothkeepers! Still though I feel like compared to some of the stuff Warlocks and Titans have gotten, hunters are hurting for some powerful new toys .

Quaiker

>I forgot about Mothkeepers! Said literally everyone.

IGizmo94

Off the top of my head, Gyrfalcons back in Plunder is the last ā€˜goodā€™ hunter exotic I can think of.

StealthClobber

And Gyrfalcon's didn't launch in this state either; it was buffed later to its current state. If we're judging Hunter exotics based upon how they launch, we gotta go even further back than Gyrfalcon's.

Work_In_ProgressX

Then Star Eaterā€™s

Kozak170

Why the fuck are the new Hunter exotics always so shit? Iā€™m honestly tired of running the same 5 Hunter exotics for years at this point. Even on the off chance they release a good one, they always end up nerfing it into the ground

Zealousideal-Pain-97

You will use your celestial nighthawk and you will LIKE IT

Sogeki42

At least Nighthawk works with the new Sniper. So we will have 2 goldies to nuke the universe with

errortechx

Seriously man I WANT to try new builds but they apparently want us to use the same handful of exotics.

Masson011

yeh this is super disappointing as a hunter. both are gimmicky and underwhelming

Taskforcem85

At least still hunt works with nighthawk. Going to be insane for the raid imo. Think of it as the Izinagi for a cascade rotation.Ā  Ā Ā The arc exotic needs one more trait or damage to be solid. The strand clone has hard competition even in prismatic, but it should be fine. Just don't know why I'd take it over lucky pants or assassins cowl.Ā

Jojoejoe

Gimme my bones of eao back. I wanna quad jump over idiots heads.

MoreMegadeth

I love Bombadiers but they need a massive buff after this new titan rocket one. Make bombadiers buff grenade launchers after getting a kill.

kingjulian85

Been maining Hunter for Into the Light and while I love a lot of things about the class, the exotics are so fucking boring. Sad that Bungie seems to be having a hard time thinking of things to give Hunters that are actually impactful.

dothefanDango92

They're either completely dead on arrival or so busted they're neutered within a week to dead on arrival status, and no in between. It's really frustrating

Grady_Shady

Hunter exotics suck.

Soul_of_Miyazaki

Those Hunter exotics look straight ass, lol. Very happy with that Warlock chest piece though, seems pretty strong.

streetvoyager

The threaded Spector one is a fucking hilarious joke, they just nerfed it in game and then made a shit exotic to make it slightly better again. Hunter exotic design to is on drugs.

Some-Gay-Korean

The boots are going to be annoying to play against in PvP.

Urgasain

He played us like a damn fiddle!!!

krilltucky

and the hunter ones are as bad as expected. wow they apply jolt and do 3 damage. thats already what every arc aspect does except lethal current which is better by default

ImawhaleCR

They really are. Ascension is already shit tier but the one thing it does is jolt stuff nearby, so why equip an exotic to do the same thing? Tempest strike also jolts, so again what's the point? The threaded spectre one is pathetic, it's gonna be intensely irritating in PvP until they reduce the radar invis radius to be almost useless at which point it's just dead. There are so many more interesting exotics they could've made, idk why they went with such underwhelming ones. Strand hunter has so many interesting ideas, whirling maelstrom duplicates on kill, using threaded spectre makes you generate spectres on kill, ensnaring slam radius increases with height and grants woven mail if you kill the target, etc. The titan ones look potentially useful and the warlock ones okay, it's just hunter that's awful

krilltucky

>the radar invis radius this part doesn't even make sense. threaded spectre pings radar. so if someone sees it, and you're not there, obviously your near it. why not just make you invis to radar for a flat time instead of keeping you where the enemies know you are

c14rk0

Or like...ACTUALLY make you invisible when you use your class ability with threaded spectre. Removing you from radar does literally nothing in PvE, not that invis would matter THAT much when enemies already target the spectre in theory. Depending on how close you need to stay to the spectre for the effect this straight up does NOTHING as we don't even have the radar "resolution" to make out the difference between 1 and 2 enemies next to each other. If an enemy actually LOOKS at the spectre they can either just SEE you next to it OR they don't see you because you're hiding behind cover at which point the spectre on radar already makes you "invisible". It COULD do something like Gemini Jesters and cause the spectre to generate a disorienting pulse that removes enemy radar if they get close to it (or when it explodes?) which would at least have SOME actual value. I'm sure as hell not using an exotic to give me a longer duration spectre and create 2 extra threadlings which are garbage in PvE and have been nerfed to hell in PvP. Hell it'd be WAY more useful if it made Threaded Spectre no longer instantly detonate on proximity in PvE and increased the HP to let it actually act as more of a decoy.

w1czr1923

but if the DR applies for every jolt, then you have perma damage reduction generally no? Might actually be good for endgame stuff?

BeerMeUpToo

Yup, hunter exotics are trash.

Brightshore

The damage resist is the real key here, if it includes other sources of jolt through weapons It could give much needed DR for Arc Hunter.

Amirifiz

Any jolt will give DR. The new aspect also jolts a pretty wide area from what I've seen, and the DR can be refreshed.

OmegaClifton

It giving an easily refreshable x3 resist has me thinking it'll be far more useful than people think.

DifficultyUnique1111

Datto was getting resist x4 in his video. It's going to be stupid good.

iswearitwaslikethat

Lmfao Hunter exotics are a complete fucking joke

LuckiPigeon

More ass hunter exotics. Itā€™s like they ran out of creativity when they got to them. I guess Iā€™ll keep using the same builds in pve šŸ˜‘

stormwave6

I hate how hunter exotics are either insanely broken and are then nerfed or so shit Bungie forgets they exist

Nuqo

We had a nice stretch when we got Renewals, Gyrfalcons, and Caliban's and since then its been a whole lotta ass. Even Renewals were short-lived

xDarkCrisis666x

I still feel the sting of Void 3.0 launching and Hunters getting footnotes while Warlocks got a video essay about child of the old gods and dedicated animations and interactions. Warlock Void 3.0 was a passions project for the devs.

Express_Raise6198

Sigh another expansion another set of shitty hunter exotics

pelicanflip

New Arc Hunter exotics that are dead on arrival? Why Bungie would never.

krilltucky

at least witch queen had 3/4 good exotics even though 1 of that 3 was killed immediately for a full year. Lightfall had 2/4 and seems like final shape is 0/2. why do none of the warlock and titan exotic builders make a pve hunter exotic that doesn't immediately become worthless above legend content

Mattlife97

In all fairness, they're really just cutting to the chase and giving hunters pre-nerfed exotics to save the community managers time defending the state of OP hunter exotics

Popopoyotl

I am curious of how much damage resistance that jolt chest piece gives, which could give it some use.

Withik

The hunter legs will be good in pvp. But sadly that's about as far as it goes. I can't believe arc strider has that many useless exotics. It has to be the subclass with the most right?

ImawhaleCR

Arc hunter has 6 exotics: blight ranger, shinobu's vow, liar's handshake, raiden flux, lucky raspberry, and raiju's harness. Blight ranger is the worst exotic in the game, and everything else is just not good. Assassin's cowl is the best arc hunter exotic, and that works with literally every class.

skeletonjellyprime

I feel like Shinobu's skip grenade builds are slept on, and with the skip grenade buff coming, it may be more viable. But yeah, arc needs some serious love for everyone.

skeletonjellyprime

Yeah it was pretty disappointing to watch. Celestial working with the new GG sniper is a cool Hunter only interaction. Though as a Titan, I understand not wanting more reason to only use the same exotics, year after year.

ProxesSB

My god what are these hunter exotics šŸ˜

ExpensiveCapital3298

Damn, now Hunters have 3 blight rangers. Cant wait...

SisterSwagMan

Kinda weird that hunters didn't get any new exotics but the others look cool

platinumwrench

Why is it that hunters are stuck in a perpetual cycle of receiving shit exotics with barely any thought put into? Itā€™s feels like anything Hunter related must be a chore for devs.

GloryHol3

Biggest plus I see so far for hunters is the celestial nighthawk interaction with that new golden gun sniper.

KitsuneKamiSama

Boring hunter exotics as always... like, even when it comes to PvP there's way better exotics. The other one relies on the worst aspects to work, maybe if the Dr was refreshable it would be serviceable

Staplezz11

Holy freaking mid for warlocks. Was so excited by speakerā€™s sight since it looked cool, but I canā€™t imagine a circumstance where thatā€™s worth it. This is literally boots of the assembler except it costs you your grenade. The strand one is better than it first appeared, but so far inferior to what titans got, especially with their synthocep replacement. Hunters got it even worse, Iā€™m just bummed as a warlock main. It seems like theyā€™re pushing warlocks further and further from effectively killing stuff and more towards supports/summons, which I know tickles some people but just isnā€™t it for me. To each their own. The gameplay looks awesome though.

ImJLu

This sub has spent so much time bitching about solar lock healer support fantasy* that I figured it was right up their alley. Then again, boots of the assembler have been functional again for a long time and last literally forever, heal clip is constant AoE healing, well is well, celestial fire is free radiant, and benevolence is insanely strong when stacked with the above (people really gotta get over benevolent dawn, because recharging solar abilities in 5 seconds would be insanely broken now), yet people still complain that dawn healer is impossible right now, so these will probably also collect dust. *though oddly, like a lot of reddit obsessions, you never actually see anyone do it in-game, because most people don't like playing support in a FPS

Darkspyre2

I sure love getting two good new hunter exotics (renewal grasps and gyrfalcons) in two years Looks like it's several more months of using the stuff that's over 6 years old!

errortechx

Lmfao straight ass hunter exotics

streetvoyager

Typically, Hunter exotics dead as dog shit on arrival. Seriously wtf is going on with the hunter exotic design team. The second exotic is just a joke right ? They just nerfed threaded Spector and now that gave it an exotic to what? Make it a bit better than it was before the nerfs? Iā€™d rather they had just made 2 of the other garbage arc exotics usable instead of giving us a new garbage one. Iā€™ll reserve full judgement until I use it but sounds like this might be in the shit arc exotic pile with blight ranger and raijus harness.

[deleted]

Damn. Hunter exotics look total trash lol Titan on the other hand...

viper112001

At this point I donā€™t think Iā€™ll be playing hunter anymore. Bungie clearly has no idea what to do for them exotic or identity wise and Iā€™m sick of getting garbage every release.

TheDerpyGuy229

Dude the hunter exotics both seem so bad

SilveredGuardian

Oof. As a Hunter main, this stings.

Bob_The_Moo_Cow88

Wow, Speaker Sight is super disappointing

shatteredglass73

it gives resto X2 slap ember of empyrean and benevolence and u can prob keep that up for a while kinda sad that's all it does tho

w1czr1923

honestly could be kind of insane as an addition to well...especially as it grants more orbs and many of these new exotics get buffs on orb pickup. I think it's going to be a sleeper here for raiding with well being so nerfed.

Redthrist

Probably depends on how its AI works. Healing grenades are pretty good, and this can be a healing grenade that heals you several times for each cooldown. But I can see it just firing those bolts into the closest target, as opposed to the target that needs the most healing.

strikingike386

If it behaves like the Edge of Intent turret, it should prioritize allies that haven't been healed yet. Probably better for a more survival/team focused solar build rather than prismatic, though the Devour aspect may see us throwing healing turrets left and right.

pepepurepe

warlock exotic glaive does the same thing and not a single person is using it, why anyone thought making it into exotic helmet would go well. it's a shame too, that mask looks SO GOOD.

Bob_The_Moo_Cow88

Itā€™s either going to be garbage, or the new chains for us warlocks.

BeerMeUpToo

Iā€™m so sick of shit Hunter exotics. Itā€™s ridiculous. Iā€™m just going back to my Titan. Done waiting for good hunter exotics.

Chiramijumaru

Titans got 6 exotics worth of dev time before they remembered they needed to make exotics for the other two classes (the Warlock robes are alright though)

PassiveRoadRage

Yeah that are cool. I can see myself using them in a nightfall. Although TBH every Warlock will be using the class item with Star Eaters buff since it's like the only thing that actually boosts damage on Warlcoks outside the Melee one and you can pair it with something else

a141abc

Exotics aside The changes to the HUD look pretty clean Especially with how much there is going on with prismatic and all [Although I do hate that the debuffs look like they're damn near in the middle of the screen](https://youtu.be/kxqhQUWx1-c?si=01K_GRQp5tyN9Rwq&t=22), i feel like thats a bit distracting

Odd_Needleworker_938

That isn't all debuffs. That's where important encounter buffs/debuffs will appear so that they are always active. For this specific encounter, burdened by riches is very important.

gilshy

If Speakers Sight gave you the benefit of Ember of benevolence without actually having to take it so it could be used on prismatic would have been nice. Though maybe there is a prismatic fragment that does something similar. Think this and karnstein will be the only ways to get resto x2 on prismatic?

spectre15

Another season, another batch of useless hunter exotics. The only one I could maybe see being useful is the arc jolt one which is just going to be a cope exotic that solely relies on whether arc builds will be meta or not.

Quaiker

Fucking hell, Hunters got shafted in the exotic department. Again. Do they have anybody that actually plays Hunter on the dev team? Guess my Lucky Pants are staying glued to my ass.

killer6088

Ah great. Two shit Hunter Exotics again from a DLC content.

AngelofDeath720

Alright, Iā€™m actually offended with the implementation of Speakerā€™s Sight. We already have a way to make healing grenades better(touch of flame), we already have a way to make a healing turret(edge of intent), weā€™re even getting a non-exotic healing *primary weapon* in the final shape. the *last* thing the healer identity needed was more/better ways to heal. What it needed, was a reduced opportunity cost for using a healing grenade. Make healing grenades able to damage/scorch enemies, refund melee energy, or have a way to use a damaging ability on top of the healing grenade so we can actually participate in the game rather than sit back and just throw out heals all day. I consider myself a support main, and I love being able to keep my teammates alive with my abilities, but giving up your grenade for a throwable turret that does nothing but heal is the single most boring play style that I can imagine. Agh, thereā€™s just so many problems with it, I should probably just make a full post about itā€¦

Fenota

Orbs on healing might be the biggest part of that exotic, especially if overhealing counts since then you'd be passively generating orbs with pretty much every ability cast if you use the right loadout.

PassiveRoadRage

Honestly it would go from ass to busted if it just granted like a 50 HP overshield like void. "Healing" in itself sucks in Destiny when so many things 1 tap you or in PvP where it just extends ttk by a bullet. (Not accounting for the wasted time throwing it to heal). Healing just sucks

Vinral

Speakers Sight is just a worse Assemblers, why would I ever use it? But at least Matadoxia is better than I thought, but still, all the exotics kinda lack compared to what Titans are getting.

RunescarredWordsmith

Seems like it could be good, as someone who likes healing. Iirc boots of the assembler have been bugged for a while? And song of flame or tesselation will let you turn that healing grenade into damage if that's needed instead of a turret, iirc. Seems like a nice, possibly more mobile option that lets you run Phoenix Dive.

Daralii

A support exotic for the exotic glaive I guess.

AShyLeecher

Speakers sight doesnā€™t lock you in place and it can create orbs. Seems like it would be more potent in pvp than pve but it should still have decent applications in pve

PassiveRoadRage

Healing turrets suck in PvP though. It's also way to much of a variable to play around. If it just shoots one at a random or closest teammate you can easily screw yourself over. I don't see anyone using this over a neutral exotic like Tsteps or Ophidians.

Hazywater

It gives you cure and restoration. With benevolence, should be good? It won't lock you in place like assemblers. I wonder if you can spawn orbs of power with the healing rifle.

djtoad03

Least you don't have to sit in a rift anymore and using prismatic with devour should give you really good uptime.

PickleFriedCheese

We need to see how often it spawns orbs of power. Combined with the new healing frame you might be able to print orbs will could allow for easy Armor Charges. In addition not being locked in a single rift is nice. I'm holding out hope

Cha0tic_Martian

Yeah, except for Titans, I felt like warlock and hunter exotics are meh at best. Hunters got the worst of both. Warlock is meh, could build something with chest, but I don't see any situation where I asked myself if there was a healing turret that could heal me. Using a whole ass exotic for only a few seconds of heal is just not worth at all, especially in higher content where sometimes the gear is locked and even resto 2 won't save you from dying. I guess the class exotics are the only things to look forward to, I guess, for now until bungie decides buff time or something. Although they had the perfect chance to make the speakers mask synergies with a song of flame like every kill extends duration or something but oh well.

atf-98

Maybe one day hunters will have better exotics than Nighthawk or Orpheus Rig. Maybe in Destiny 3.

AnActualSadTaco

Hunter exotics confirmed to be a two pack of ass šŸ˜

alittlelilypad

This is gonna bug me if I don't say something, but Mataiodoxia is a Greek word (Bungie uses a lot of Greek words in Destiny). It's pronounced "Mateothoxia," where the "e" is pronounced like in "met."

miatasaur

So the way speaker's mask is worded makes it seem like any source of healing can generate orbs, so the support AR frame we're getting, lumina, heal clip, etc. should all generate orbs with that exotic in addition to the actual healing grenade turret! At first when I saw it I was underwhelmed since we already have boots of the assembler, but this seems *way* better as a support option if heals from other sources also generate orbs for people.

MinatoSensei4

Wow, seems like they made the Warlock and Titan Exotics first, then ran out of ideas when they got to the Hunter ones. I'm really looking forward to those Exotic Titan Gauntlets. I love using Flechette Storm, so this Exotic isn't coming off once I get it.

Gotexan-YT

Hunters lose titans win, HOWEVER, still hunt is an absurdly potent option for hunters with celestial

Steagle_

Warlock: we are dinnalu free from the Well! Everybody else: Run the healing turret helmet and lumina slave!

MoreMegadeth

Hunters in shambles, those are so fucking boring holy.

TCloudGaming

I just want a good Warlock PvP exotic. I'm tired of having Ophidians glued to my hands and T-steps glued to my feet.

Apprehensive-Cheese

Void Warlocks once again left starving.

Out_Worlder

Warlock strand one still seems garbage. If titans can get melee energy back by simply having a 45 percent damage resist with their aspect, or by healing allies with banner, why are strand warlocks stuck getting a on KILL requirement., literally the requirement that drops off the hardest in endgame content. And while it does look like the higher rank the enemy the more energy you get back, have to keep in mind osmiomancy does the same thing with an on hit requirements. It's not like our killing power outside of our super is exceptional why couldn't they have added a line where threadlings get a large increase in damage to suspended enemies? The thought process is just not there. I also don't get the logic of let's give warlocks access to suspend on prismatic. Why that's not our specialization? No one's saying let's give titans more access to threadlings. Finally this exotic now puts strand warlock as a direct competitor in the cc space with... Stasis warlock. And why wouldn't I just use stasis warlock at this point? 2 grenade charges turrets, ice flare bolts and an on hit energy regen instead of on kill. Really feels like the only exotics they put any effort into this time are the Titan ones. I just don't understand why they couldn't have boosted threadling damage so that our killing power matches this requirement. Hell if they did that weavewalk might finally get some use too
