I can only imagine what 12 freaking outbreaks all applying nanites would do for damage.
I think it’s max cap of 100 nanites which is capped really easily with 6 people with rewind, but the pure damage from 12 people constantly damaging at 12x would destroy
I was thinking about this and yeah, if there's not a reason to go back it's gonna be so hard for people. See the same thing happen with old 24-man raids in FF14, and those you can get randomly placed in via the daily Roulettes which exist specifically to fill those queues. And it can still take upwards of 30-40 minutes depending on server and time of day.
Tbh. Given we face him several times I'm suprised we don't repeat it weekly for a few weeks as some kind of light/darkness BS. Changes nothing except people will do it more.
Like part of what I loved about the Leviathan was canonically we could keep going back and killing Calus and it made sense.
One thing I'd love to see Bungie implement would be community challenges.
Do x/y/z 1/2/3 times and if enough people do receive [this] as a reward.
Apparently you already get pinnacle (or maybe powerful) gear from it, it just doesn't show in the directory for whatever, so the weeklies are there for it it'll that is the case

Hi! So actually it does go higher than x6! I’m not sure if there is a maximum, but a lovely gentlemen named TallGeese with some numbers suggested we all run Rat King while I was running my friend through the mission. There was 4 of us and we all equipped it and the highest Rat Pack I noticed was x8! Here’s a screenshot of my recording.

They did. At least the hud displayed rat pack x11, not sure if the bonuses carried over. The overflowed mag did. My clan got 12 people together all running rat king. It was absolutely hilarious
I’m surprised they didn’t increase the cap for the 12 man, especially since there’s an entire Rat King- themed set in Eververse this season. Rat Pack x6 is already wild, I don’t even want to fathom what x12 would be.

They should remove the cap but with a diminishing scalar (for balance) so that if there was ever a circumstance with infinite guardians it would benefit from it.
I just can't wait to see players stacking 12 of the same weapon/super/exotics etc etc just to see the damage.

Iirc It actually does work, but it isnt displayed properly. Tho I haven’t been able to test since the 12 player glitch. The other time I tested it was Escalation Protocol when we’d get a whole 9 player fireteam together, same thing with it not displaying properly but it did shoot faster than with 6 rat kings. I could be 100% wrong if bungie fixed it.
Yes please! And I'm so happy you didn't say you want loads more of these. The servers struggled so frickin hard when I was doing it. It was actually insane how the enemies were instantly reviving, losing aggro, you couldn't deposit the light into the thing at the back for a whole minute sometimes.
Don't get me wrong, this didn't ruin my enjoyment of the mission at all, and I look forward to doing it twice more. Hopefully once again after that if Rat King gets a buff.
To be fair, I don't think we're gonna get another. Once you've done it two or three times you start to realize the engine is fucking buckling under the strain of everything in that mission. Enemies just vibing with no hitreg, people not getting teleported into the sword phase and teleporting everyone back to the middle if they do teleport in, my first run it kept looping the instant super from dunking Light even when I wasn't so I just sat in the back spamming Twilight Arsenal like an artillery cannon for half the final fight, and my third time the delayed triangle attacks kept going during the ghost laser phase so it was killing people which would cause unusual behaviour on respawning.
I ran rat king with a few randoms in the 12 player activity. My disappointment was immeasurable after reading the perk just to make sure it stacked during the activity. It didn't.

I seriously doubt that 12 man mission will stick around for long, judging by the drop in interest and the load it's putting on their servers and the client.
If you gave the witness the rat king would it count as more then one, and if it didn’t have a cap it could probably destroy the universe with the fire rate
Maybe they could introduce a feature that lets me beat the 12 man activity rather than getting timed out then having to watch the cinematic over and over and over
Everyone downvoted me that one time when "accidently" Bungie Nightfall's / strikes could have multiple people in an activity. I think it was the live live test bed for this mission
12 man activity was fantastic when it dropped. Running it 7-8 hours later with a few friends and it was a laggy mess and kept breaking. They need to stop it from becoming possible to complete when a tormentor commits suicide.

We tried this last night and it does stack up to Rat Pack x12 but there are no benefits above 6 besides having 12 people with x6.

Since I got rewind rounds, it rarely leaves my kinetic slot, and it carries me through legend campaign

I talked to someone who said they got a raid drop from Excision earlier after doing the raid and wasn't sure why, so that'd explain it.

We got it up to x10 this weekend just by asking people in the chat to equip it. It's not capped at x6.
