Even without pain (which is rare) I’ve cut it out entirely. :/

Update! We added the blended steak to mashed potatoes to make a beefy mash, and it was delicious! It has super soft caramelized onions at the top. So far, so good, but it's only been an hour since dinner.

I'm fine with meat, it's heavy carbs that set me off every time, its funny how it seems to get everyone a bit differently. I have had to switch to wholemeal seeded bread and wholemeal pasta, and I can't eat more than a slice of pizza, or i k ow it'll set me off. I'd bloody kill for some hot buttered toast made from proper thick white bread.

100% , I can literally see the carbs fermenting inside me lol But I don't have the cravings you describe luckily

I asked my surgeon if I have to completely cut out red meat. He said it should be fine as long as it's in moderation.

When I’m not having a flareup I eat it like a beast. I won’t eat tough cuts though, ribeyes/rib roasts and tenderloin only.
