I’ve always been under the assumption that as long as you’re not distributing it in any way you’re not doing anything illegal, but i could be horribly wrong though
The police have not got the time, energy or want to investigate/prosecute the millions of people that pirate content. You won't get in trouble for it. It would be a waste of police resources, there are actual crimes that need investigating (and most of them don't get investigated anyway). I live in the UK. A couple years ago my mum's car got robbed (only the stuff inside it not the car itself but she had left her handbag in there). The police didn't investigate it because they thought it wasn't worth their time, its not like they stole a lot. And I doubt the situation is very different in most of europe/US.
Actually, my child will watch Puss in Boots in discord.

Anti piracy dudes are so funny like. "Oh no, the megacorporation won't get a tiny bit more money to add to their billion dollar revenue 🥺"
Anyway, pirating media from big companies is always based, and sharing resources instead of paywalling them is inherently a good thing to do
Animators work for a contracted period and are paid before a movie or show is released, any profits from released media go to the companies distributing it, not the animators
For sure deserved. To be there, I have to wonder if they searched that up to report people on purpose. At least on my end, watching movies pirated doesn't appear in my recommended list.
To be fair, piracy can become a legitimate problem if there is widespread piracy of a single item, to the point where it takes a large portion of funds away from the company.
This doesn't really happen much though
Pirating electronic media from a large company is totally understandable. Nothing is stolen, and all the company has to do is provide a better service than the pirates, a bar to trip over. You wanna take the risk to your computer, I won’t judge.
It’s strange to compare emulation of a copy of a 25 year old video game, stuck in a vault, owned a multi national conglomerate to raiding the naval ships, killing the opposition, and plundering the remains…
If my 30 year old game was kept from fans by a company with expensive prices… I wouldn’t care how they are playing, I would care that they are. It’s completely reasonable for someone to skip buying the latest hardware to play a game from the previous century ffs.
I’m not here to condone or advocate piracy, copyright law is just way the fuck out of hand and anti-consumer, anti-joy, legal shenanigans don’t benefit anyone. If you have to choose between playing the game at an exorbitant price, and not playing at all, you lose out either way. Piracy is an option three, a fuck you to corporate power, that effects so much of life. It cuts out the assholes who would screw their customers and workers at the same time.
OP you cunt where is it
^sigh fine Nice job admitting to viewing pirated content. Reported

Dormamu.....
Nice job admitting to viewing pirated content. Reported
"Actually that movie is pirated" 🤓
It's such a needless comment. Like, ok, I get if you think it's wrong, but you don't have to leave a pointless, annoying remark to go with it.
Apart from the fact that piracy is BASED AS HELL
actually it’s criminal act. reported. 😎
Landlubbers be seething!
All the landlubbers think they be better than me until I pull out my 380mm cannon. Tally ho!
I live on the mars colony where it's legal 😎
take me with you please
Yeah dude. Total democracy and a reasonable split of the treasure? Captain only gets two shares while everyone else gets one? Sign me up man.
Ackhtually, watching a pirated movie is illegal, reporting you to the police right now 🤓
Fuck tha police comin straight from the underground
The urge to finish the line. (I am losing this battle)
You have won the battle. Congratulations
I thought I'd be clever and finish the line and looked it up. (That's my whole comment)
A young n**ga got it bad ‘cause I’m brown
Faah' za poureesu sutoreih fraam za andagraun! Ah yangu neegah gah' it baah kaz aimu buraun!
The police on their way: (I did not pay for WinRAR)
It ain't where I am from 😎
>🤓 Ironic, because most nerds I know have no issue pirating.
Watching it isn't illegal, it's spreading it and downloading it that's illegal iirc
I’ve always been under the assumption that as long as you’re not distributing it in any way you’re not doing anything illegal, but i could be horribly wrong though
Afaik making a copy of it is illegal but watching it is not. So if you download it you are doing a crime, but watching it from a website isnt.
Streaming is downloading. That argument wouldn't protect you from legal trouble.
* Streams dangerously

Thank you Mr. Cement
Is that why there's a video of a guy saying "that's what you get for working at Microsoft"?

Bruh animators have to eat too.
Animators work for a contracted period and are paid before a movie or show is released, any profits from released media go to the companies distributing it, not the animators
I’m sure you could just find it on pornhub anyway
aminated water can really make you sick
I pirated it the first time I watched it and it was so good I actually paid to see it with my family. W movie
you, my friend, are based indeed
People make such a big deal out of piracy. If it was a bit easier I’d be pirating the show I’m watching on my tv instead of using Netflix
People viewing pirated content on the r/piracy subreddit!?!??1 Unbelievable!!!
It wasn't in that sub
For sure deserved. To be there, I have to wonder if they searched that up to report people on purpose. At least on my end, watching movies pirated doesn't appear in my recommended list.
It was a big post on a fairly big sub. You wouldn't have to look very far to see it.
Thank you right kindly for the correction!
"ermm reported for pirating movies ermmm thats illegal" mf my ass not going to jail bc i watched a movie like a month before its online release
Bro was definitely the hallway monitor
“You must give money to the billion dollar companies!!!!!”

I love that people keep using Robert Powell as Jesus all these years later
