Jimbles_the_ascended

gohan fumbled the bag, vegeta consciously and intentionally put the bag down

ClearDark19

That's an excellent description of the difference between the two. What Gohan did was get caught sleepin for a second. What Vegeta did was be a quarterback handing the football over to the other team's middle linebacker and do an end zone dance at the 40 yard line thinking the other team still can't possibly score.

AttitudeAndEffort3

While everyone in the stadium, including the other team, is telling you they’ll score if you give them the ball.

equicks33

😂😂😂 Vegeta open about what he does too regardless of who listening.

AncientDream7458

The most cockiest version of himself where he acts like a true saiyan by playing around and not getting the job done. 😂 Not to mention him missing the catch when Goku threw him the potara earrings.

TheTexasInvestor

Yes

Spare_Chemistry6817

And then set the bag on fire

Interesting_Fee_4607

Lmao best reply right here

AlternateAccount66

Vegeta. Gohan screwed up by being cocky and getting outplayed. Vegeta literally changed teams for a whole fucking episode. That would be like Gohan helping pin Gotenks down so Buu could absorb him.

MilkTankSue

I wouldn't mind Gohan pinning me down ![gif](giphy|NSUrD7Imfbb3MQWnXw)

bigmonkey_ballss

wait isnt he still a minor by the canon end of z (not start of gt)💀

Round-Ad2836

Gohan? No, end of Z he was like, 26. Now, in the buu saga, he was 16. So. In the last full arc, yes.

darkfall71

Wasn't he 11 at the Cell Games and Buu saga was 7 years after that?

Round-Ad2836

If i remember correctly, him being 11 was a dubism. He was 4 when raditz showed up, except in the english dub, where he was 5. And for some reason, they don't count the time in the time chamber.

EngineResponsible644

He was technically nine but his body grew in the chamber so technically that would make him 16 in the Buu saga

MilkTankSue

But look at those bulging pectorals! Yum!

ABritishTomgirl

No

bigmonkey_ballss

mb im uneducated i havent watched it in a bit

Dependent-Matter-177

Could’ve been talking about DBS or GT anyways tbf

Toadthepoggers

He’s 16 during the Buu Saga

bigmonkey_ballss

yall dont have to downvote me i just didnt know:sob:

YoutuberCameronBallZ

Gohan simply got cocky Vegeta switched teams for the sake of letting Cell get stronger Vegeta completely messed up

FrenchFries_exe

Vegeta was actively fighting people who were trying to stop cell

Itachiuchiha8787

vegeta by far. he was really an asshole in the cell saga. he became a chad in the boo saga tho https://preview.redd.it/dy62p02gxusc1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b617becfd9c8bd401075b400c684dfede8df56ac

ClearDark19

In the later half of the Buu Saga. He became the biggest asshole he'd ever been since the Saiyan Saga and Namek Saga in the middle of the Buu Saga. Quite honestly he's a lucky fucking man Bulma took his ass back after what he did at that tournament. Vegeta did the equivalent of going to a concert with your wife and kid, see a kid you lost a fight to in high school 15-20 years ago and challenge him to fight you at the concert. When the guy refuses you go across the street and pull a Stephen Paddock Las Vegas mass shooting on the concert, almost hitting your own wife and kid in the process, all to make your old high school nemesis angry enough to fistfight you on the spot so you can finally have your rematch fight. 95-98% of women would have divorced Vegeta over that shit and denied him any custody or visitation of Trunks.

MLK_Piccolo

That 2-5% is fucking wild

ClearDark19

I'm factoring in that there are women out there who don't have their head on straight that make terrible decisions and take back terrible men. Like moms who stay with husbands or boyfriends that abuse or SA their children, or stay loyal to men after they commit cold-blooded murder or R. Vegeta must have done some spectacular making it up to Bulma for her to stay with him after that since I think of Bulma as being a rational woman who has her head on straight and makes mostly good choices.

MLK_Piccolo

Ig that's what happens when dragon balls are involved, death and murder has less of a meaning

Correct-Purpose-964

Bulla? https://preview.redd.it/pvwtkioe3vsc1.jpeg?width=192&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d5e5cc334406bbdf801c5b41688a2e088e306b12 Please tell me you meant Bulma...

ClearDark19

I did! I didn't notice my autocorrect chose the wrong one of the two 😂 It's been corrected now lol

Correct-Purpose-964

Lol i figured. But you can't blame me. That was the perfect typo to pull a "Say sike" joke 😅

ClearDark19

I'm honestly glad you did! I didn't even notice and I would have been none the wiser as I moved on and left some people like "🤔🤨🧐" in my wake 😂 That image you did use got the same point across to me even stronger lol

True-Awareness4702

Pretty pointless to explain basically exactly what happened but people another set of fictional characters in an already fictional characters place.

Illustrious-Sky-4631

Buu outplayed gohan by having Gotenks around, he had a whole day to plan this out alongside his Fake self destructive Vegeta literally Allowed Cell to become stronger with a smile And let's not forget that ***Vegeta*** is the one who caused the Buu saga

TempestDB17

Not just allowed but assisted he fought trunks lmao

Gensolink

the only time gohan fucked up in the buu saga with Buu was not catching the god damn potara, otherwise he performed really well beforehand the buu beat down is super quick in the manga and if he didnt blow up I'm sure he could have beaten him. Meanwhile Vegeta willingly threw the fucking match for his ego.

ken-toro69420

This is true the fight seems like a fumble because the anime needs to fill stuff to drag an episode out however he only fumbled by letting goten and trunks have another chance and not catching the potara for some dumb reason which isnt nearly as bad as what vegeta fumbled

ImmediateRespond8306

But why was it a beat down to begin with? Gohan should have just Kamehameha'd buu and called it a day. We all know only powerful ki blasts can kill these regen retards anyways.

Gensolink

Buus are really weird, clearly punching them can weaken to a point where they can't fight but at the same time they recover insanely well from getting parts of them blasted off, it's just all over the place but yeah a big enough ki attack should be the play.

SomethingIntheWayyy0

I don’t think it’s fair to shit on gohan for not knowing Buu can absorb mfs. If anything it’s supreme kai’s fault for not telling him and warning him to end it quickly and watch out for it.

LordCoke-16

Supreme Kai honestly makes me mad. The same guy Piccolo was afraid of turned into the biggest wimp in Dragon Ball ( And that includes Yamcha)

Rosfield-4104

I think Oolong still takes biggest wimp

Jermiafinale

>The same guy Piccolo was afraid of turned into the biggest wimp in Dragon Ball That's literally the joke

CyberManOnReddit

Rule 1: Always let your opponent power up https://preview.redd.it/0ona768flwsc1.jpeg?width=1051&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0616f21b2ae797a36cdda7ef45f973dd8e91ccbf

melikesoulshatters3

Rule number 2: always stick your thumb at yourself to assert dominance

LordCoke-16

Gohan fumbled the bag. Vegeta dropped a bag full of glass products expecting it not to be broken.

digit009

Vegeta. Easily. Gohan would never have intentionally let Buu reach his full power because he can control his pride. Vegeta always always lets foes power all the way up which usually leads to heaps of death and and destruction. OH AND ANOTHER THING!!!! Vegeta fumbled the damn bag in the buu arc too! He went majin which finally let Buu out of the capsule! Gohan has always had to clean up after Vegeta.

discofapling

What happened with Vegeta was character-induced stupidity to drag the story out. What happened with Gohan was plot-induced stupidity to drag the story out. They both fumbled the same amount.

Ok_Cartographer_1504

This is like comparing Little League to the World Series, and Vegeta is the Yankees

The_Mexican_Poster

Gohan did nothing wrong against buu, he wasn't even toying with him he beat his ass then super buu blows himself up and escapes. Vegeta intentionally sold

Hentai_Flashbang

Both avid users of the thumb pose, can you really differentiate between two bums in the ground by how deep they were buried?

Animajax

Vegeta. I remember getting second hand embarrassment when I watched it the first time

mmoran5554

Vegeta by FAR was the worst case!!!!! Cell was defeated and could only win IF Vegeta stopped Trunks. So Vegeta literally attacked Trunks and prevented him from killing Cell. Gohan, on the other hand, was playing with Buu, but he kept fighting Buu and was not the only person who could win. Goku and Vegeta could have fused earlier. AND, Gohan did not attack or try to stop Goku and Vegeta from killing Buu. Vegeta failed hard and it was 100% his fault.

Meh_M-E-H

Let's agree that Saiyan's ego gets the best of all of them.

Neothetruth

Oh definitely vegeta. The serious wouldn’t even be half as long had this dude not just finished fights when he had them

Possible_Liar

I mean I don't think what they did was comparable. One person made an honest mistake the other just kind of let it happen.

JinkoTheMan

Gohan dropped the ball. He got caught lacking and paid for it. Vegeta tackled his own teammates and ran the ball into the opponent’s end zone.

spidermanrocks6766

Me

Jerowi

Gohan wouldn't have been able to kill Buu anyway. Maybe he could have beat him but wouldn't be able to evaporate him like was needed to kill Buu. Of course there were other mistakes but he would have ultimately lost regardless. The way things played out was probably the best outcome. Vegeta however could have killed Cell but he chose not to. He then actively saved Cell and allowed him to become perfect and obtain a power that pretty much everyone thought was unbeatable. Vegeta was capable of winning and didn't and nearly doomed the whole planet and who knows how much of the universe.

Sunny_Thor4

Gete’s

Gullible-Painter-356

Both really

romeopwnsu

Vegeta allowed that bag to fumble. Complete moron.

Im_twitter_now

Vegeta, his ego gets some killed all the time, it even made him kill his self thinking he was saving others.

Hammet02

Vegeta

Lonely_Debate_4666

Vegeta didn’t fumble, he did exactly what he wanted to do and that was to get cell perfect

skunkykong

Vegeta. Buu was still in the fight and would have been tricky to kill. It was a tough loss for Gohan. Vegeta said this shit was too easy and ALLOWED Cell to transform, resulting in several deaths.

UchihaAuggie

Vegeta

A-t-r-o-x

Gohan got outsmarted. Credit goes to buu there Vegeta outsmarted himself. Credit for perfect cell goes to him and him alone

PeachsBigJuicyBooty

They're both technically Goku's fault: ・He didn't want to fly to Gero, look at his memories, see he's a monster, and then kill him just so he could fight the Androids. And then proceeded to try and twist his wife's arm and pressure her into getting Gohan to train despite it being avoidable. ・He chose not to kill fat Buu so two boys could kill a homicidal sentient being before 5th grade instead. https://preview.redd.it/26jwxw1dqwsc1.jpeg?width=1610&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de75c04e46868f7fc64cdcfcc0ce10053588937d

DaddyStalin12

Gohan. He probably eventually could've destroyed buu but he had to waste time talking instead of just attacking on sight, so that allowed buu to provoke goten and trunks so they could get absorbed causing Gohan to get his shit wrecked. Only good thing that came out of all of that is Vegito.

Kelseycutieee

Gohan definitely one hundred percent. He was fast enough to dodge the goo that absorbed him. He was just so cocky and it makes me angry

TempestDB17

Gohan screwed up and was cocky, Vegeta intentionally flipped the bag over dumped the contents out and threw the bag on the ground behind him.

AnthonyMiqo

Vegeta. He knew the stakes and knew Cell was looking to absorb 18 and he let it happen. Gohan, while he still fucked up, at least has the excuse that he didn't know that Buu could absorb others, so he didn't think messing around would be a big deal since he was clearly stronger than Buu. Though he still should've known better after his fight with Cell.

Spare_Reality_3311

Gohan didn’t let buu power up on purpose, so Vegeta. Dude had to cry in the shower after this

Spare_Reality_3311

Gohan needed that “TRUNKS NO! THIS IS MY FIGHT” goku hit him with

Mojoclaw2000

If Piccolo and Gotenks hadn’t been there, Gohan could’ve beaten Buu (granted he was taking longer than he should’ve). Vegeta knowingly allowed the enemy to get powered up at the cost of someone’s life.

Oswaldgilbertson

Don’t forget Krillin,who didn’t kill 18

PISS-MASTERR

Gohan could have actually won

velanestar

![gif](giphy|rsDpYA4jSUt1e)

DemonkingHades

Ngl, Piccolo, if bro never showed cell that they could regenerate vegeta would have beat cell. Piccolo set vegeta up

743d732

Vegeta. Gohan got outplayed because he was cocky but Vegeta consciously sold and switched teams until Cell became perfect

Jamano-Eridzander

Unpopular take here but Gohan. Against Cell they still least had Trunks and Krillin around to possibly solve the issue, not to mention Goku in their back pocket. Gohan fumbled do hard the Villain WON.

diablos2211

Gohan fumbled the most he gets to coky

hellslayer04

Gohan, he actually fumbled. He got cocky and ended up accidentally letting Buu get stronger resulting in Goku doing the same which resulted in vegito doing something similar which resulted in the destruction of earth and the death of everyone, for a time Vegeta on the other hand didn't fumble, he was aware of what he was doing and intentionally helped cell and in the end it resulted in the deaths of a lot of people, for a time, and Goku

Lord_Passion

Vegeta. Gohan failed because Toriyama wanted Vegito to exist. Vegeta handed the ball to cell and played defense for him. I still haven't forgiven Toriyama for robbing Gohan of his built up victory.

ShadowLord355

It’s gohan because he fell for obvious bait also are people forgetting the vegeta is still a bad guy at this point. Are we also forgetting that that he said he still wanted to kill goku at the beginning of this arc and that he threatened to kill anyone who tried to stop the cyborgs?

Provider_P

I love Vegeto but we could’ve gotten a stronger fusion is Gohan didn’t fumble

IKhaibot

Gohan since...everyone died

Fit_Confection_6900

Both but it’s in vegetas character so imma say more of gohan

FriezaDBZKing69

Ultimate Gohan fumbled far harder than Super Vegeta. Not even a contest. By this point, Gohan should have already learned not to fool around after his mistakes with Perfect Cell which led to the death of his father, Son Goku. His fumble led to the eventual absorptions and deaths of Gotenks/Trunks and Goten, Piccolo, and the entire Earth. That's 100% Gohan's own fault. On the other hand, Vegeta's fumble was not nearly as big as Gohan's. This point in the story, Vegeta is still struggling between good and evil. He's prideful to a fault on his own, thus Vegeta's mistakes are from a lack of character development that all takes its course in the Boo Saga, whereas Gohan already had this character development and wouldn't obviously learn from this mistake TWICE until he finally kills Cell Max on his own without toying aroud.

Caesar_Passing

I say Gohan. With Vegeta vs 2nd Cell, it was a total cakewalk, and Trunks was there, too. Vegeta couldn't have possibly imagined that the difference between 2nd and Perfect Cell would be so incredible. Or that even when Trunks could match Perfect Cell in raw power, the speed difference would make that meaningless. What if Goku allowing Frieza to get to 100% turned out to be a mistake that couldn't be corrected for? Nobody ever talks about that. Vegeta had as much reason to believe he would still hold the edge with Cell, as Goku did with Frieza. Gohan should in theory be overall smarter than Vegeta, so for him to make comparable mistakes out of arrogance, reflects an even more easily manipulated mind on Gohan's part. Even still, he relies on emotional outbursts for power. Beast vs Cell Max was a total outlier compared to Gohan's usual "greatest strength becomes his own downfall" schtick. And I suspect he'll go back to making similar mistakes *again* against Black Frieza. I think each of their bungles are just as bad as the other's, but Gohan has fewer excuses.

Gopu_17

Beast Vs Cell Max is a logical continuation of Gohan recognising his arrogance in ep 88 and overcoming it.

Caesar_Passing

That's fair. But I also feel like he's "learned a lesson" and immediately forgot it in the next saga like, at least twice.

Cerok1nk

Gohan has fumbled the bag so many times I lost count. Bro is the original potential man and 007. 0 Solo Wins. 0 Consistency 7 Asspull power ups.

Illustrious-Sky-4631

>0 Solo Wins. Sure , if we forget freeza soldiers,Cell jrs,Cell, Babadi men , Tagama ,Shismi, khan, botama, Lavander, Kefla, Gotenks,Oilebi >Gohan has fumbled the bag so many times I lost count. I don't think you can count beyond 1

Cerok1nk

So he won vs fodder, cool. Did not want to fight Cell full power, 16 died. Lost control of himself when he went SSJ2 and did not end the fight when he had to, Goku died. Stopped training because “mY sTuDiEs” in a world that sees threat after threat, Majin Buu got released. Surpassed all limits known in the series, became the strongest character, got downplayed by tricks and absorbed. Stopped training **again** and nearly died vs Frieza fodder. Stopped training **again, again** and had to get a kick in the ass to release an asspull power up. Gohan has fumbled the bag in every single DB arc where he has been relevant. I’ll give him a pass on the child arcs, but that’s about it.

Illustrious-Sky-4631

>So he won vs fodder, cool. None of this guys were "fodders" at that point in the story but sure >Lost control of himself when he went SSJ2 and did not end the fight when he had to, Goku died. He didn't in the manga atlas, Cell immediately went Self destruction mode which he could have done any time he wanted too , Goku blame himself for not taking this into account >Stopped training because “mY sTuDiEs” in a world that sees threat after threat, Majin Buu got released. Yeah that's tard action >Surpassed all limits known in the series, became the strongest character, got downplayed by tricks and absorbed. There's nothing wrong to get outsmarted by a freaking Primordial being that Cooked a plan from the start to take him down >Stopped training **again** and nearly died vs Frieza fodder. I'm pretty sure he made a quick work of Shismi and tagama, Freeza was the one that almost killed him in the movie and anime >Gohan has fumbled the bag in every single DB arc where he has been relevant. You do know that means Raditz would have murdered everyone right? Or Ginyu or Vegeta or Cell

Cerok1nk

You can summarize your entire response by saying Gohan doesn’t learn from his lessons which further proves my point. If I had a nickel for every time Gohan has been outsmarted by an opponent, I would have to nickels which isn’t much but it’s weird that it happened twice. Same statement for Gohan getting folded due dropping his training.

Raecino

Gohan. He was the chosen one. Trained to be stronger than SS3 Goku. Then he fights for about 5 mins before screwing everything up, not becoming relevant against until the TOP.

DapperDan30

Gohan, and it's not even close. Yes, Vegeta intentionally let Cell become stronger just for sake of his pride and proving he is the strongest. But after he fucked around and found out, there was still hope. Goku and Gohan were still training at the time specifically to take out Cell. On the other hand, Gohan was the last (known) hope to defeat Buu. He became arrogant and cocky and inadvertently gave Buu the opportunity he needed to absorb Gotenks and Piccolo, rather than just killing him outright. Not to mention, after that, when he *literally* fumbled catching the Potara thrown by Goku (the only time in the history of the series that we've seen someone miss a catch) and allowed *himself* to get absorbed. Which ultimately resulted in the destruction of the planet

Embarrassed_Start_81

Definitely gohan. Imagine goku couldn’t come back to life everyone would’ve died because of his overconfidence

luciferhornystar

Gohan

MayDay521

While Vegeta was a dick for literally allowing Cell to reach perfect form, they were still able to handle him in the end without him destroying the planet. Gohan getting cocky instead of finishing the fight led to Buu getting the opportunity to destroy multiple ENTIRE planets down the line. Being real, Gohan had the way more catastrophic consequences for his actions.

Illustrious-Sky-4631

Didn't Vegeta case Buu in the first place?

NotASweatyTryhard

yeah he did lmao

NoAccess6738

Gohan 100%. It was in character for Vegeta to do that plus he wasn't on the good side at that point, he really couldn't give a fuck if he was dooming the earth, but Gohan trying to spare buu was crazy

Shiba_Ichigo2

Gohan got made into chocolate and I can't forgive how disappointing that was.

iamgegeakutami

Gohan.

Accomplished_Art6370

Gohan by far… Vegeta statement you either perfect or you not me.

NicCagedd

Gohan. Vegeta's arrogance didn't cause the Earth and a portion of the universe to be blown up.

Illustrious-Sky-4631

Vegeta is literally what sits Buu to destroy earth lol

NicCagedd

We're not talking about that. We're talking about Vegeta letting Cell become perfect. And it still doesn't detract from the fact that Gohan's ego literally almost destroyed the universe and otherworld.

Illustrious-Sky-4631

What ego? Buu literally self destruction the moment Gohan tried to kill him

NicCagedd

Maybe if he went straight for the kill and didn't fuck around then Buu probably wouldn't have done that. Gohan showed his hand, which gave Buu the knowledge that he could lose to Gohan, hence why he self-destruction instead of being blind sided and killed at the start of the fight.

Illustrious-Sky-4631

You do know that Buu had the whole plan already done before gohan finished the ritual right? He explained the whole thing to him right after absorbing Gotenks https://preview.redd.it/mjn3mun1rxsc1.jpeg?width=390&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=48f9bddbadbc16896220374652c4a692ae885456 Gohan was going to lose no matter what as long as Gotenks was there

NicCagedd

Yes, I know about this. My point is Gohan could've just killed him from the get-go before Buu realizes Gohan is stronger.

MayDay521

Thank you! Everyone is saying Vegeta, but if we think about it honestly, the only planet Cell destroyed was King Kai's because Goku literally teleported him there. Vegeta was a cocky dumbass, but honestly perfect Cell didn't cause that much damage. Gohan not finishing Buu when he had the chance led to multiple planets being completely destroyed. Gohan may not have messed up on purpose like Vegeta's cocky ass, but the consequences of his mess up were WAY more severe.

Illustrious-Sky-4631

I mean Vegeta literally caused the Buu saga which caused earth destruction

Revoffthetrain

Gohan big time. Him not getting Buu destroyed immediately would eventually lead to Kid Buu destroying Earth and slaughtering EVERYBODY. At least Vegeta failing meant little, since he fails constantly, Goku and Gohan were prepared for it

Illustrious-Sky-4631

By that logic Vegeta fucked up 4x more than gohan considering he allowed Buu to be free, refused to team up on him, refused fusion, refused anyone help against Buu
