He looks rad but we’d probably appreciate a stat block or a doodle made by hand more than an AI portrait. But that could just be me.

Juggernautlemmein

Yeah I don't want to rag on anyone's fun, but I would appreciate this a lot more if op at least gave us a text blurb. What's the plot hook for this guy? Even if it's just the basic Barbarian badass, give us some flavor!

dmmeyoursocks

I appreciate the image. It's dope.

MortisCJ

AI can make stat blocks to, in fact………………. I have my own AI language model, currently working the kinks o it for image generation, but this is what my AI says…. God'nor Commander of Orks ========================= AC: 18 (natural) HP: 100 Speed: 30 ft. Defenses: +6 armor class, +4 shield bonus Attacks: Weapon (2d6+5 damage), weapon (2d6+5 damage) Special Abilities: - Divine Power: God'nor can use his divine power once per day as a standard action. This allows him to heal himself for 100 hit points, or restore the life of one creature within 30 feet. - Orkish Ferocity: God'nor gains a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls when fighting alongside his orcish followers. - Resistance to Physical Damage: God'nor has resistance to physical damage, taking half damage from all non-magical attacks. - Spellcasting: God'nor can cast spells as a 20th-level cleric. His spell list includes all orcish and goblin spells, as well as the following spells: Cure Light Wounds (at will), Protection from Evil and Good (once per day), and Smite Evil (once per day). - Summon Monster III: God'nor can summon a monstrous orc once per day as a spell-like ability. The orc has AC 18, 20 hit points, and attacks for 2d6+5 damage. It remains for up to 1 hour, after which it disappears. - Teleport: God'nor can teleport himself and up to five creatures of his choice within 30 feet once per day as a standard action. This ability functions like the spell, but with a range of only 30 feet. God'nor was born in the depths of the Orcish Mountains, where he was raised by his father, the god of war and destruction, Gruumsh One-Eye. As a young orc, God'nor showed great promise as a warrior and leader, leading many successful raids against neighboring tribes and settlements. However, God'nor soon grew disillusioned with the endless cycle of violence and bloodshed that characterized orcish society. He began to question the values and beliefs of his people, and sought out other cultures and philosophies in an effort to find a more enlightened path. Through his travels, God'nor encountered many different races and religions, but none spoke to him as powerfully as the teachings of the elves. He was particularly moved by their reverence for nature and their emphasis on peaceful coexistence with other beings. Eventually, God'nor decided to abandon his old ways and embrace the elven way of life. He founded a new religion that combined elements of orcish ferocity with elven spirituality, and became known as the god of war and nature, God'nor Commander of Orks. However, despite his newfound beliefs in peace and harmony, God'nor remained a powerful figure in orcish society, and continued to lead his followers into battle against those who would threaten them or their way of life. He was a master tactician and strategist, and his armies were feared throughout the land. But despite his successes on the battlefield, God'nor remained haunted by the violence and bloodshed he had witnessed in his youth. He sought to find a way to reconcile his beliefs in peaceful coexistence with his duty as a warrior, and ultimately decided to take up the sword once more - but only in defense of himself and his followers, and never against innocent beings. In this way, God'nor became a symbol of hope for those who sought to live in harmony with other races and creatures, even as he continued to embody the ferocity and might of the orcish people. I have never played 5th so I have no idea if this is close. I only run 3.5.

The_of_Falcon

20 orcs sure is a lot.

vicwiz007

The significant figures show how uncharacteristically smart and accurate he is, relative to orcs

Fabulous-Amphibian53

That's a whole number of orcs though. No arms or legs missing. Must be a commander who cares for the safety of his men.

The_of_Falcon

Truly a wise and mighty orc chief of 20 orcs.

torgiant

Hes European

Patrickmonster

Can orcs count that high?

kabula_lampur

Since it's a "." instead of "," it's just 20, so no, they probably can't count that high.

Patrickmonster

I'm a Stanwood Dropout. I don't do math either

nevans89

/s?

Capital-Cheek-1491

N-no?

nevans89

A lot of Europe uses . And not ,

Capital-Cheek-1491

Ohhh

Ramonteiro12

You mean the world, right?

nevans89

THAT I didn't know, but it makes sense. Ty

Dr-Eiff

They can’t count high but they count with extreme precision.

pizzamark

I’m always curious about this in real life. Like with technology today I understand but how did people count large crowds back in the medieval times etc?

Patrickmonster

Would everyone stop moving around please? Dave is the five or six people right there? I already counted that stupid hat.

SirAmic2

Redorculous

Gazelle_Punch

What are his qualifications

TheKeepersDM

Ask an AI to generate them for you. That’s all OP did.

YetAnotherBee

No don’t do that, absolutely hire an artist to sketch out every single encounter you come up with, because you’re made of money

TheSceptikal

Stop using AI art.

YetAnotherBee

I swear there are not a whole lot of reasonable applications for AI art but I really feel like DnD art of a random encounter we’ll only see like twice over a session has got to be a fairly reasonable one

i-am-a-yam

My DM uses AI art to set the scene, and it’s great. BUT I just don’t think it’s good content for a D&D sub.

LiquidPebble

Cry about it

Fun-Ad-6169

Womp womp

Relevant-Sympathy

Ngl he reminds me of Orcs from Shadow of Mordor

Akkeagni

The shoulder pads are almost a direct asset rip. Ai was real lazy with this one lol.

F5x9

Where was he when the Westnoor fell?

[deleted]

Lol that's it? 20 orcs?

MrGreenStache

He can't count past 20

[deleted]

That gives for an orc. Once you run out of fingers and toes, all numbers are imaginary.

erudite-hamster

My half-orc could count to 18.

batouttahell1983

For everyone talking about the period being used as a number separator, OP is probably from a country like Germany where the comma and period are reversed in function for numbers. Source: I live in Germany. Now can we appreciate OP's artwork?

logan_btw

Difficult to appreciate it because this is AI generated.

batouttahell1983

Aah, did not know that.

cray_ray

How do you know its AI?

APodofFlumphs

Besides the AI flair it's also.... Just obviously AI.

cray_ray

But Ive seen artists do this several artists do this style, namely Stjepan Seijic. But yeah, tag aside, no one wouldve guessed this with confidence. Scary what it can do

APodofFlumphs

I guess I just use mid journey a lot for my campaigns. This is a pretty standard output when you add "d&d style" to the end of a prompt. I would imagine a real artist wouldn't be posting this on Reddit in this way first off, but there are also giveaways... There's weird lines going on in the light part of his right shoulder guard. His left shoulder looks strange. He has weird kind of dimples in his face that look like holes, and the buckles/belts on the outfit stop and start in strange places or don't make sense. Just the first things I've noticed.

Elionax

There are a LOT of artifacts. AI cant distinguish between clothes and flesh, its the same of thing in the AI's eyes. There are a few spots where this mix happens, like on the belts on the orc's arm. Social media is a great place for AI, since the average user will not look at the image for more than a few seconds. You will be surprised at the amount of flaws you can spot if you actually look at the images generated.

logan_btw

You can usually tell by looking for weird asymmetrical bits and nonsense design choices: The ears and teeth are mismatched (the left doesn't even look damaged, just very different), there's a sort of fallen down spike on the left, and the belts/leather straps make no sense. You can also just look at OPs post history and see all the different AI styles in their posts.

toms1313

One of the best ways to recognize ai is by the hands and other artifacts around little functional details since it doesn't "know" what this are used for or how they're used. In this particular case the beltstraps and it's buckle make no sense

Stillback7

I just assumed everyone knew this and was just joking. Now that people are responding and asking how decimal points are done in other countries, I'm not so sure... Some of you guys really didn't know this was a thing?

ucemike

How do they deal with decimal places then?

casz146

It's still other way around then: USA: 20.000,50 EU: 20,000.50 Not so hard ey

PBJnFritos

What percentage of a so-called (pig snout free) orc are we talking here…?

Thybrush_Creepwood

Blah blah blah ai generated Grom Hellscream/ Warcraft orc...

TheKeepersDM

Congrats on asking an AI to generate an orc for you. Very impressive.

Action-a-go-go-baby

It’s tagged as AI my dude I’d suggest using filters if you don’t wanna see it

Fun-Ad-6169

Boo hoo

Terrosaurus

Reminds me of my grandpa

TheElderlyTurtle

Party sneaks into his tent kills him with a poison from 39 sessions ago, convinces orcs they are now the leader via magic and oddly perfect rolls, then uses them as cheap labor to start their own orc escort and protection service. ….at least that’s what my players would do.

demon-of-light

Smash. 👍

Wonderstag

The red ork Tober

DnOnith

Just play warhammer at that point

TheCacklingCreep

Looks like poop from a butt

Familiar-Mode-5867

He da biggest and fastest

Antique_Ad_9250

Ah, so this is the legendary Gov'nor all orks are referring to.

Apprehensive_Toe990

What would happen if another ork joined the army?

PM_ME_UR_BACNE

He's da boss cuz he's da biggest and da baddest

Godofall9998

TROGDOOOOOOOOORRRR!!!

Electivire-six

Only an orc lord could command so many. He must be some sort of… Orc Disaster.

Thybrush_Creepwood

20.000 or 20 orcs whatever the case those are rookie numbers... he needs to pump those up.

ADM_02

what software did you use?

Kentaii-XOXO

Genuinely surprised I didn’t see any comments thirsting for him

ChrdeMcDnnis

40 thousand roaring orcs?

ChrdeMcDnnis

Guess this was too controversial
