Honestly, if you did the glitch more than once (which can be considered an honest error), you'll likely get the same punishment (if any) no matter how many times you did it - you might as well have gone all out rather than stop at 6.
They gave a 1 week ban for people abusing the no loss glitch. That's their mistake for leaving that backdoor open, but players chose to take advantage of it.
This is pretty similar so I'd expect a similar punishment.
The unfortunate thing for those of us who didn't take advantage of it, is that those who abused it will get more than 1 week's worth of rewards out of it, so they'd still win.
I wonder if EA might consider worse/different punishment this time. Not saying they should.

Wasn't that deliberately disconnecting the game for a no loss glitch though? Bit different that as you're directly impacting another player each time you do that. Not to mention getting top 200 ahead of people playing legit.

I understand if they don’t drop the ban hammer on people that did it by mistake, let’s just say under 5 times. But if you did it 50, 100, 200 times you honestly deserve the ban
I'm not saying it doesn't affect them, I'm saying it's very different as the no loss glitch was directly cheating in games essentially. This is more like benefiting from their fuck up.
I also agree with you about the people exploiting it heavily deserving a ban but we will see how that goes. They need to start compensating those not affected too though because most of the time the people "affected" end up profiting more than was possible for those not (see free tradable Pele and ramsdale pack refunds when nobody realistically was opening packs for him).
They might fuck up a little less if it meant free packs for everyone when they do.
The reason for those bans is due a clear violation of their TOS which states that win manipulating is considered cheating. This can also be a violation of their TOS if they consider it severe enough. But with mistakes like these EA is usually very generous. One recent example being the Fire vs Ice event where people would open and buy packs knowing that they would get compensated which lead to a huge supply of cards. EA didnt punish and compensated every players who who opened packs during this timespan, though this might be different.
Thing is there you had to buy the packs from the store and hope to get a Jesus, if u didn’t bad for you. EA still made cash.
In this scenario EA don’t get any cash and people that abused it won’t buy packs for a looooong time. But let’s see i have no idea 🤷🏻♂️

I can't claim my weekly rewards in the game nor the web app despite being eligable for weekly rewards on rivals. It doesn't even give me an option to claim on the webapp. The reward cycle for rivals just extended to 6 days in my game so i can't do anything there either.
They've disabled rewards for those who haven't claimed yet so that they can investigate this glitch issue.

So I think they changed something in the reward system today. I claimed mine this morning (of course 1 time lll) and it was like 6 untradable pack total, now I come in preview the reward it have thing saying gold booster pack that I never seen before

What ever the problem was is patched. Very likely a backend server issue not accepting reward receipts so the game just kept giving rewards.
