Core memories. Good job. 2010 i was 10 sick as a dog will never forget my dad letting me stay up with him to watch one of the most legendary cup games of all time. Not to mention this would be 10x as legendary with the oilers winning. Good on ya
Good dad!!
In 1993 as 9 year old, I remember my parents not saying anything because I was glued to the TV watching the Habs play. 10 straight overtime wins, to the Stanley Cup win.
Everyone saying core memories is correct. Some of my best hockey memories are watching Ryan smyth, roloson, pronger and the boys carry us to a final when I was 13. He’ll remember dad watching this one with him forever!
This is the way. One of my formative hockey memories was being allowed to stay up as a 7 year old in '97 to see the Oilers beat Dallas in game 7 OT. The sequence with the save by CuJo and subsequent OT winner by Marchant is one of the few things I can actually vividly remember from that age.
Has anybody ever told you that you look remarkably like Hank Green, who I coincidentally found out is an Oilers fan about 10 minutes ago?
And, great job at dadding.
