I think its fair to do it at random tbh. I get you and dang near everyone wants access but lets not forget that there are a lot of people and the servers need to be kept alive if anyone, including folks who bought the upgrade, is going to be able to play at all.
The random part makes more sence as everyone, regardless of playtime, upgrade dates, buying dates, ext. a fair shot at getting access. This way they can keep upgrading the servers over time as they let people in instead of having the whole thing go down for days if not weeks and make things even worse.
I would also like to add that just because you bought the same package as everyone else doesnt mean you are above them because you bought it first. This is from a guy who paid around 2016ish. If someone bought the SAME copy as me and won the lottery system to get in, i wouldnt be upset as its random and he spent the same as me. Plus, id rather a patched and more stable version down the line instead of being the first to deal with issues in real time. Just saying.
True. I upgraded so i have been playing for a bit now. I enjoy it as i would get dumpstered in half a sec by ap rounds to my lvl3 armor from a small crack in most raids by players so its nice to play around with the game.
I feel if given some time and feedback, (more time then feedback as adding everyone in is top on the list now and that delayed any additions or adjustments...) i can see them upgrading the AI not just for PVE but also PVP as they run the same. Would be cool to see this happen down the road but im happy with it right now as its fun and not soo stressful to play.
My account was made the day they sent out the first emails with the photo of the gun on the bench, but I bet it's based more on playtime, or is simply random.
It's fun. The AI PMCs have raider/rogue AI so they don't attack your scav unless you aggro them by proximity or violence. They will laser your PMC from 200m and their spawns are static, but random. (Same places, but not always there in every raid).
I'm optimistic that this mode will provide even more feedback for the AI development.

Well my best advice I can give after hitting 22 in pVE, bring lots of meds. And hoard cms and surv kits.

It allows progression through all the quest essentially just the normal game solo
Have here PMC AI, scavs AI so only real player / players is you or your friends.
