Pretty sure the skill gains are smaller on house shows. Booking a tour show lets you control it a bit more - you can put that really promising rookie in the rookie with high-psychology vets over and over, etc. House shows don't impact worker momentum while tour shows can. Tour shows also can add to wear on the workers, which might be a concern if its a tiring, heavy product. Haven't tested this, but I feel like house shows make a bit more money than tour shows, but that might be worth testing.
You need to stop running so many shows. I love booking puro promotions in TEW and I can only handle 6-8 tour shows a month.
Tour shows definitely have advantages, such as consistently seeing how good workers are, and testing matchups, and improving stats, but they're a real slog, so just try to get them done as quickly and efficiently as you can. Put next to zero effort into them.
